I am rejecting this response because: It does not state in those words that fees will come out of whichever refund comes first.  I signed a Rt that states fee will come out of IRS Federal refund and as far as you feeling it's resolve no its not I only came to H&R Block because I need food and to pay a bill so I called about the refund loan and was told that was base off your refund I got $500 for a $8000 tax refund and my state taxes taken I could have did my own state taxes and got my money as well as my Federal so does that make sense for me to pay $870 for taxes and a loan that did not help and you advertise  $3500 base on refund amount that's not true. I feel like I was missed lead about the whole situation I have been doing my own taxes for at least 15 years so why would I let you do my state knowing IRS is not giving refunds til late February and Indiana gives refunds in 10 days.

client.H&R Block prepares millions of tax returns each year, and if we do make an error, we are committed to making the situation right.  It is H&R Block Franchisee, [redacted]’s belief that he has done so in this case by giving the client a discount of $130 off his total Tax Preparation Fees of $257.00 as a courtesy for any inconvenience. Mr. [redacted] was also upset and concerned about the security of his children’s Social Security numbers, and was told that the copies the office had were shredded and security is taken very seriously in matters like this. Mr. [redacted] was offered our Tax Identity Shield product, which he declined.Thus, we consider this matter resolved. I am rejecting this response because:I had to pay lated penalities and additional...

interest in the amout of $58.82 because I was not contacted prior to the penalty date of 9/25/16 and that caused for additional penaties and fines. I was charged an additinal $57.50 plus interest resulting in an additioal $58.82. It stated on the original documents that was faxed in the beginning of this matter with no one contacting me in a timely matter. I feel in order for this matter to be considered closed the full amount of the penalty that I was required to pay should be paid to me. I have spoke with [redacted] extension# [redacted] at ** Dept. of Revenue about this receipt and he said that if they have questions concerning the amount they can contact him about it. I had to pay a total amount of $307.85, I recieved a check in the amount of $249.03 leaving a balance of $58.82 still due me. In order for this matter to be closed a full payment should be made. I did not make the mistake and they waited past the due date and I took matters in my own hands and paid it. It could have been alot more if I had not paid when I did. Please pay $58.82 and I will consider this closed but not until then.

I was told I would be called today, 10/13/16 for follow up but have not received a call yet.  I hope to receive a call by next week. They seemed willing to assist me in this matter. Dear Revdex.com,In resolution to this complaint, records reflect that during the tax interview our tax professional offered to prepare the Injured Spousal Form 8379 on the client’s behalf to file with their 2015 tax return. Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] declined the offer as it is our...

understanding the additional cost for the preparation of this form became a factor.  Additionally, our tax professional was led to believe that Mrs. [redacted] had been working with the IRS directly as it relates to the spousal form.To ensure the form was prepared correctly, our tax professional requested a copy of it, however,  Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] were unable to produce it at the time. Our tax professional suggested that we could place the return on hold to allow time for the form be brought in for further review, but due to Mr. Greee-[redacted]’s circumstances he insisted for the return to be prepared and filed quickly. While we sincerely regret, Mr. [redacted]’s experience concerning this matter,  it is our belief that the return was prepared correctly with the information provided during the tax interview. As such we must respectfully decline the reimbursement of tax preparation fees as our records further reflect that Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]’s tax preparation services for tax year 2015 remain unpaid.  As a result, we consider this matter resolved. Dear Revdex.com,In response to Mr. [redacted]’s rebuttal, the claim that was submitted in accordance with H&R Block’s Peace of Mind® Extended Service Plan has been denied as our records reflect that the 1099R and W2 information was not presented to the tax preparer at the time of the original tax preparation. As such, H&R Block cannot be held liable for the tax liability or any penalties and interest that have been assessed due to the unreported income. Our records further show that the erred portion of the return in which the tax preparer duplicated one stock sale and omitted one stock did not in any way affect the balance due and /or cause any additional tax liability. However, as a client service gesture we are refunding Mr. [redacted]’s tax preparation fees for incorrectly reporting the client’s stock sale information. Mr. [redacted] can expect to receive his check within 7 to 10 business days. I told [redacted] repeatedly that we were moving as of April 1st and gave her my cell phone number, I have also stated to her repeatedly that I do not have the documents the irs requires as well as that I would not even be in this situation had the representative from h&r block not filed my girlfriends daughter as my child and had the franchise agent actually did her job and completed the audit the first time correctly. I am rejecting the claim because they only did a [redacted] on 4/3/17 to resolve this. The Manager Ms. [redacted] contacted me on Monday, only because of this claim, she promised 2 months ago to get back to me in 3 days - 3 days came and went and I sent 2 more email to her at her H&R Block email- she still never responded (I believe they were attached in the complaint). Then all of a sudden on Monday April 3, 2017 she called. She said that our last phone call 2 months ago she said she would mail the check for $99.00 (that NEVER happened) thats not even the amount I asked for. She said she would call me in 3 days and let me know if she COULD infect get authorization for a refund and send back the money for the services never rendered. That call and check never came. Why would it take 2 months for a check to come? I am not convinced I will get the check promised on Monday. I told her on Monday, I was seeking the $99 for the cost of my tax return that was never done, plus the lost wages and other charges I incurred in the year and half I have been trying to resolve this. She said she could only authorize the $99 that is ALL I AGREED TO AGREE TO. It cost a lot to have another accountant figure out what happened to my tax return and track down my return (that it turns out was never filed) I had to pay another accountant $125 to figure this mess out. Plus 3 days of lost wages sitting in 3 different IRS offices trying to find out where my tax return was, as per the advice of [redacted]/assoicates of her whenever I called her for help or an update on where my tax return was.   I am due $125 for an accountant to figure it out, Plus $300 in lost wages, plus the $99 fee from H&R Block. We can go to small claims court if this is not resolved here.
