I am rejecting this response because: I paid $714.00 to have HR Block prepare my 2012, 2013, 2014 amendments and to file the 2015 taxes. I spoke to the district office and HR Block is only going to pay $398.00 which is the cost of the three amendments so that  means they are going to charge me $316.00 for them to prepare 2015 taxes which is a simple tax return. I think that is excessive. I don't mind paying for a service that we used but to be charged $314.00 for a simple tax return is crazy.

I am rejecting this response because: 
They have not contacted me at all since I filed this
complaint with you. Before I contacted you I asked for a resolution several
times and received the same response which is not acceptable. I paid them for
services several time to which they had professionals complete. I have had this
problem with them in the past. Only one time did they compensate me and they
only paid the amount of interest which did not equal the amount to which I had
to pay back. Also, if they would have responded in the timeframe to which I
called and left message I would have received the amount of money that was old
to me. Once again this is their mistake and not mine and this time I want
action and money back for which I am owed through taxes. I do not feel like I
should take another loss on behalf of their mistake, nor do I feel like they
should be let off this easy. If I would made this mistake I would have to pay
for it in full. They would asked me for the money or equal compensation. I have
never received equal compensation for the mistakes they made at all. Therefore,
I provided them with this information
and they did a second look which they should have corrected the mistake then.
Being that they are professional in this area they should know the
sensitiveness of it all and how people work hard and paid them to help with their
taxes. I paid out thousands of dollars back to the IRS both federal and state
due to their error and only receive about 80.00 from them for interest which is
not equal to the amount that was paid out of my pocket. Now that money is owed
to me I want someone to compensate me for their mistake. I would have receive
639.00 if the tax preparer would have contact me when I called and left message
as well as the paper should have been aware of the time sensitiveness of this
matter. I would like H & R block to pay me back for the money that is owed
to me and I will no longer do business with H & R block in the future.

To  further question H & R Block's maximum refund guarantee, which states that a claim can be made within the current tax year which in this case was 2013, I offer the following:  This seems to be an acknowledgement that all customers whose returns they prepare, would need to immediately ( or within the same tax year) have to then take their prepared return to someone or entity who they "think" is more qualified, pay that person or entity to "double-check" H&R Block's work.  If this is the scenario for this ruling in my case, I wonder why I or anyone else would choose to use H&R Block trusting that if a problem, I would not only have the correction, but would be returned fees paid for the preparation in my case, I had filed the 2013 return away trusting that H&R Block was competent, just to discover  this error by an acquaintance when attempting to assist with my self-preparation for the 2014.

I am rejecting this response because: some information seems too vague.  Ms. [redacted] has agreed to pay all penalties and interest incurred for the DURATION of  my installment agreement ( As interest, penalties and fees incur, imposed by the IRS,  including both federal and state, H & R Block would pay. I told her I was also entitled to a refund of the bank fee of $34.95 which she is disputing. H&R Block charged me this fee for a loan (RAC) which , in reality, I did not qualify. (predatory.) Therefore, I feel H&R Block should reimburse it.   I have only received one payment in the amount of $96.25.  It has been approximately two weeks since I submitted Ms., [redacted] everything she requested.   I am still awaiting payment; made directly to me; of the following:  $34.95-bank fee + $43.00-installment fee(IRS) +$102.27-interest +$4.10-penalty.

This response from H&R Block is not acceptable because it is a lie. There is no way to overdraft a prepaid debit card. That is not a function available on ANY prepaid debit card, hence why it is PREPAID. There is only what money available that the consumer has placed onto it so , again with the H&R Block lies,  Trying to say that I have over drafted a card that is unable to overdraft. H&R Block needs to admit  Their mistake and take accountability for the fact that they wrote off something as a bad debt which not only wasn't true it was never a bad debt it didn't exist but if that were the case on any level they should have contacted me via mail or phone call within the last 12 months and I have received neither. They are also not accepting responsibility for the fact that 8 to 10 phone calls were made inside of an H and R block office with a manager present and I was given misinformation almost every one of those times. Because none of those things are addressed this is why I believe the negative rating through the Revdex.com and regards to H and R block should remain. They are only now trying to cover their behinds and still are to dressing the issue. Again to reiterate an issue that doesn't exist. There is no way to overdraft a prepaid debit card this did not happen ever and I've had a 0 balance since March 2017 according to 7 different customer service reps.  No matter what comes of this complaint I will continue to let people know, via word of mouth and social media, not to go to H and R block and all about their deceptive practices.

I am rejecting this response because:This issue as of now is not resolved it is still ongoing, the claim that I filed my taxes as the way it showed is incorrect I selected married filed jointly even on the amendment it still put as head of household instead. I do have a date setup with an HR Block specialist at their local branch however she has pushed out the meet for when she can setup a reservation. HR Block has agreed to pay any interest or fees associated with this tax return for both federal and state. They have also offered $156 to cover the product paid for in 2014. Due to the office being over 40 miles away I have requested that I be compensated for the time I put in and for the travel,  I have request $200.00 instead of the $156, on top of the agreed to terms which included fixing the tax situation and covering the cost at the local branch. As a token of their appreciation they have offered me, me free software for 2 years as mentioned in their message. This process has just started and it is too early to tell if HR Block will follow through with their end. I feel that I have been more than reasonable and have worked in good faith to come to a more than amicable solution that both of us can agree to. As of now, it is still up in the air whether this solution is moving forward. I am waiting to hear back from the executive team on my request to move the refund to $200.00 as well as the other items agreed on. Compared to what I originally asked for this is a huge concession. Thank you for your continued communication on this issue while I wait to see the resolution come to completion.
