agreements can be found at: https://www.godaddy.com/legal-agreements.aspxOn January 9, 2009, our customer purchased a domain name transfer for a five-year term via online transaction. On January 22, 2015; the customer renewed the domain for one year and opted to add GoDaddy’s Protected Registration service, the highest level of protection for a domain name that GoDaddy offers. This premium, add-on service provides private registration and protects against the cancellation, expiration, or transfer of a domain name. Domain names, which have this service, cannot be cancelled or transferred until the Protected Registration is canceled. On January 24, 2015; per our customer's account preferences, GoDaddy was instructed to automatically renew the domain name in question for a 5-year term (period equivalent to the length of the original domain name registration) and did so in a good faith effort to honor its agreements with our customer.RESOLUTION:GoDaddy has upheld its agreements in good faith with our customer and honored its terms of service. The service our customer purchased has functioned as advertised. Our customer submitted the necessary documents and the Protected Registration service was canceled and subsequently refunded on January 26, 2016. As a one-time exception and gesture of goodwill to amicably resolve this matter, GoDaddy has refunded four years registration in the amount of $49.68 to the original payment method.Thank you again for the opportunity to address the concerns presented by our customer.Kindest regards,Ken C[redacted]Office of the CEO – GoDaddy

conducting business with GoDaddy:* Universal Terms of Service Agreement* Auctions Membership Agreement* Domain Name Registration Agreement The latest version of these agreements can be found at: https://www.godaddy.com/legal-agreements.aspxOn June 15, 2015, a winning bid was placed on an expired domain auction via an online transaction from within the complainant’s GoDaddy customer account. The complainant contends that the winning bid was placed by a minor and has requested a refund of this transaction.RESOLUTION:GoDaddy has upheld its agreements in good faith with the complainant and honored its terms of service. The following section of GoDaddy's Universal Terms of Service Agreement stipulates customers that create accounts with us and use our services must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or recognized as being able to form legally binding contracts under applicable law. "This Site and the Services are available only to Users who can form legally binding contracts under applicable law. By using this Site or the Services, you represent and warrant that you are (i) at least eighteen (18) years of age, (ii) otherwise recognized as being able to form legally binding contracts under applicable law, and (iii) are not a person barred from purchasing or receiving the Services found under the laws of the United States or other applicable jurisdiction."Our Auctions team has connected directly with the complainant. As the transaction in question was in direct violation of our agreements, a full refund was provided in the amount of $115.17 to the associated payment method and the domain name in question has been removed from the complainant’s account. Additionally, the complainant’s GoDaddy Auctions membership has been canceled. The complainant is ultimately responsible for any transactions placed in their account; account management is a customer responsibility. Any future purchases made within the complainant’s account will only be refunded in accordance with GoDaddy’s Refund Policy. We highly recommend that the complainant take steps to secure their GoDaddy account, including not divulging their account log-in information, logging out of their account when finished with any actions, and even adding Two-Step Authentication as an added layer of security.EDUCATION:The complainant may find the following articles helpful:Refund Policy: https://support.godaddy.com/help/article/8849/refund-policyEnabling Two-Step Authentication for Your GoDaddy Account: https://support.godaddy.com/help/article/7502/enabling-two-step-authentication-f...⇄ you again for the opportunity to address and bring clarity to the concerns presented by the complainant.Kindest regards,[redacted]Office of the CEO – GoDaddy[redacted]@GoDaddy.com[redacted]Scottsdale, AZ 85260###-###-#### Phone###-###-#### Fax
I renewed my address on their website. I entered all required information including payment and after sending the site replied "There was a problem processing your transaction, please try again". After checking their site to make sure no payment was taken and seeing none, I repeated my effort. Two days later my CC company notified me of a "duplicate charge". I called and Godaddy replies if I want my "SECOND" charge refunded they will have to "CANCEL" my address. That's like the mechanic telling you that in order to change your headlight he'll have to completely take your car apart. What?
Their site was having problems and I could have called but it was just easier and after many successful transactions with Godaddy I was OK with that. The amount was only a little over $15 and it won't break me and it does pay for a second year.
It's just when they try and tell me I ordered a second year and I did not, and then if I want a refund on one payment they will have to CANCEL my address.....? This reminds me of how [redacted] used treat their customers. It makes me uneasy with Godaddy now because I own about 12 addresses and I don't trust them anymore. I think I would rather spend some extra time to move to a better company than having to beg them to correct any kind of REAL problem that may occur in the future.
This company is a scam. They will charge your account with no notice. The information that the reps give you on the phone is only 50% true. They will tell you what you want to hear and make things seem very simple, then they will charge you without you knowing.

GoDaddy.com reached out to me to renew a domain I had set up when my credit card expired. I told the sales rep that I did not want to renew and to not charge my card. The next day, my credit card was charged. I called GoDaddy and was told to fill out a form which requested a copy of my driver's license. I did so, and then received an obscure email saying they needed business documents. The domain I had was never a business. I spoke to another GoDaddy sales person who said that the department received my documents but had three days to get back to me - of which within 24 hours if it was not resolved I would not get refunded as it was out of the 5 day grace period. GoDaddy blamed me for not closing the account before the renewal date. However, they charged my card close to $150 when I spoke to a sales rep the day before the renewal date saying to cancel. I am so disappointed with how GoDaddy has treated this and even my credit card company conferenced me in with GoDaddy and complained about how they were treating customers. Luckily, my credit card is fighting this battle with me as even the GoDaddy rep said the phone notes indicated I had canceled it over the phone! What a waste of time and energy to have this resolved. Really disappointed.

following agreements upon conducting business with GoDaddy:· Universal Terms of Service· Website Builder Service Agreement· Get Found Service Agreement· Marketing Applications AgreementThe latest version of these agreements can be found at: https://www.godaddy.com/legal-agreements.aspxOn February 17, 2015 the complainant made an online purchase for several products including Website Builder Personal, Search Engine Visibility and Get Found. Search Engine Visibility is an Internet-based search engine optimization and submission tool that guides users to optimize their website. Search Engine Visibility shows users how to improve internal and externalaspects of their website. Get Found offers a simple way to get your local business listed on top sites across the Web. Users submit your business information and that information is automatically updated on top sites across the Web once your business is verified. On April 7, 2015 the complainant called our Customer Care team to get an upgrade to their Website Builder plan to our Business Plus plan which includes an SEO Wizard tool. This tool is similar to the Search EngineVisibility product where it provides customers resources to enhance their website for search engine algorithms. The complainant has called our Customer Care team with questions on these products and has been provided with support articles and information about the way these products work and their limitations.RESOLUTION:GoDaddy has upheld its agreements in good faith with the complainant and honored its terms of service. The complainant’s site is listed in major search engines such as [redacted] and [redacted]. They can see this online by simply visiting [redacted] or [redacted] and searching for “site:exampledomain.com” removing the quotation marks and replacing exampledomain.com with their actual domain. Indexing (listing, linking to) the complainant’s website is established by this inspection.Search Engine Visibility and Website Builder’s SEO Wizard do not guarantee search engine listings or higher rankings and the product/services are working as intended. Please allow 5-7 business days for the refund to be reflected by the complainant’s financial institution. If the complainant does not wish to continue using the SEO Wizard within the Website Builder Business Plus plan they can downgrade the plan at any time. They promote an email client service called "WorkSpace". This email service is nothing but CRAP!! Multiple problems sending, receiving and even just filing emails. When you call them, it is nothing but an upsell to a diff product. Personally would not recommend them AT ALL!!
Thank you for the opportunity to address the concerns presented by our customer. Our customer acknowledged and agreed to GoDaddy's agreements upon conducting business with GoDaddy. These agreements can be found at[redacted] On April 13, 2015...
our customer purchased a domain and a Website Builder plan, each for a one-year term. Website Builder is a proprietary, do-it-yourself, template based product to construct a website. Contrary to our customer’s understanding, they did not pay GoDaddy to build a website for them. We do offer a Website Design Service in which our team will create a website but our customer did not to purchase this service. On April 13, 2016 our customer’s products expired. Per our customer's account preferences, GoDaddy was instructed to automatically renew the services in question and attempted to do so in a good faith effort to honor its agreements with the customer however, the customer's financial institution declined payment. GoDaddy subsequently sent an email notice to the customer to inform them the items were at risk of being can canceled unless additional action was taken. Account management is a customer responsibility. On April 13, 2016 our customer contact GoDaddy’s care team and was unable to provide the Call-in PIN in which they had created for the GoDaddy account. Our customer then declined further assistance and indicated they would submit a complaint to the Revdex.com. RESOLUTION:GoDaddy upheld its agreements with our customer in good faith and honored its terms of service. The services our customer purchased functioned as intended. As such, GoDaddy is unable to provide the desired settlement. This should be completely illegal. GoDaddy drafted funds from a credit card that was 2 years expired. I disputed the charge with the Bank of my credit card and they investigated what GoDaddy had done. After research, the Bank found that the payment was completely unwarranted and revoked it. GoDaddy does not want to be accountable for this and has somehow faulted me for not wanting to pay them twice for my services. I made payment to the account with my debit card in good faith because I saw that the credit card was expired. I had no intentions of making two payments to the account. I was also not aware that GoDaddy’s system is set up so that you cannot delete a card after you use it because it is tied to your account regardless to if you will be renewing with GoDaddy or not. GoDaddy has shown that when the card expires, GoDaddy drafts from it in its expired condition without your authorization. I have also Googled and found that GoDaddy has done this to numerous people in the past and still doing it to date. This is corporate bullying and GoDaddy should be stopped! I have lost all of my payment to my hosting plus GoDaddy has suspended my account and charging me $50 for not giving back a payment from a card that they took charges from that the bank has revoked and determined them to be at fault. All customers of this company should be warned. Amazingly, GoDaddy has deleted the card from their database, after I made complaints and informed them that I would seek legal advice, which has removed the evidence of what they did. I say this because they will not delete any card, valid or expired, once you use it.
Dear Dispute Resolution Consultant
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We have reviewed our customer's correspondence and the GoDaddy account in question to which we would like to present the following.
Prior to the purchase of products and services our...
customer acknowledged the following agreements:
• Universal Terms of Service Agreement
• Domain Name Registration Agreement
• Domain Name Proxy Agreement
The latest version of this agreement and other legal agreements may be found at: [redacted] On December 11, 2009 our customer purchased a domain name transfer for the domain in question via an online transaction. During the same transaction, the customer added our premium Protected Registration service. One of the features of Protected Registration is to protect against the cancellation/expiration of the domain name. Domain names which have this service cannot be canceled until the Protected Registration is canceled. This is done by way of submitting a valid government issued ID, Business ID if applicable, and a signed form to our Domain Services Department.
On December 30, 2014, our customer submitted a request to have Protected Registration removed from their domain. Our support staff responded with a request for documentation proving ownership of the domain based on the information provided to us by the customer when the service was established. The customer had full control over their Registrant and Organization (business) information at the previous registrar that subsequently carried over to GoDaddy during the transfer. It is a Registrants’ (customer) responsibility to ensure accuracy of their data.
Resolution:
GoDaddy has upheld its agreements in good faith with the customer and honored its terms of service.
The Protected Registration service functioned as advertised; keeping the domain from being canceled without proof of identification.
Additionally, our Protected Registration includes privacy service through an affiliate company, [redacted]® ([redacted]). ([redacted]).
Private registration shields a domain owner’s personal contact information within the public Whois directory by listing [redacted]'s name, mailing address, and phone number instead of the customer’s personal contact information. It appears this may be what our customer is referring to with their claim that GoDaddy entered fictitious information within their account. GoDaddy does not arbitrarily add or make changes to personal information within customer accounts. Our request for documentation was based solely on the information provided to us by the customer from within their account.
Our customer has completed the process of removing the Protected Registration service from their domain name. They may now cancel the domain name registration from within their account.
Education:
The following GoDaddy Support article will be helpful to our customer in canceling any unwanted product:

The response has no good intention to solve the problem. They had no faith at any level at all.
1) It's their fault that caused serious problems to my domains and email box, I called their support to apply store credit on the day when I renew the domain, there's two domain on that day, the other one applied store credit.
2) I have not using the stored credit for a long time, the address was not even correct, it's unauthorized transaction.
3) I was forced to pay for the administration fees by GoDaddy out of no service.
4) I've used email box [redacted] since 2007, there's no reason to delete my emailbox, I requested many times to give that emailbox back to me since we have a lot of members on the website, how could a company delete a mailbox without give it back acted on 'FAITH'?
5) It's not the first time Godaddy had bad service, I experienced blackmail, service down, no tech support, lost domain records etc. When I called them, they said, 'I don't know."
Dear Dispute Resolution Consultant,
Thank you for the opportunity to address and bring clarity
to the concerns presented by the complainant. We have reviewed this matter and
would like to present the following.
The complainant acknowledged and agreed to the following
agreements...
upon conducting business with GoDaddy:* GoDaddy Universal Terms of Service Agreement
The latest version of these agreements can be found at: https://www.godaddy.com/legal-agreements.aspx
The complainant has disputed the ownership of the account in
question. Our research, along with the complainant's statement indicate this is
a dispute between third parties. Should the complainant believe they have a
legal right to domain name registrations within an account they do not have
access, they may wish to review and utilize the Uniform Domain Name Dispute
Resolution Policy (UDRP). This policy has been adopted by GoDaddy and is based
upon the best practice recommendations of the Internet Corporation for Assigned
Names and Numbers (ICANN). Additional information regarding this policy may be
found at the link below.
http://www.godaddy.com/agreements/ShowDoc.aspx?pageid=uniform_domain
Alternatively, the complainant can pursue this matter
further through the court system.
RESOLUTION:
GoDaddy has upheld its agreements in good faith with the
complainant and honored its terms of service. GoDaddy worked with the
complainant to regain access to certain domain names, however no action was
taken by the complainant. GoDaddy takes its commitment to consumer protection
very seriously. Furthermore, GoDaddy does not arbitrarily change the ownership
of accounts; account management and security preferences are a customer
responsibility.
GoDaddy cannot become involved in this third-party dispute
and hopes the complainant can resolve their concerns with the parties involved.
Thank you again for the opportunity to address and bring
clarity to the concerns presented by the complainant.
