[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I was not provided an upfront written estimate of damage or repairs for my vehicle Furthermore, the documents were signed with my expressed consent and understanding to first provide me a written estimate and report on the damages and cost of repair to my vehicle, and then an informed decisioin would be made on my behalf The State of CT requires a full-written estimate to be provided upfront to all consumers requiring auto repairs-and authorization cannot be obtained prior This was not done at any time in my particular case Therefore, the actions of both Geico and [redacted] were both decietful and unlawfI did not knowingly choose nor authorize repair of my vehicle The only authorization made by myself to [redacted] was for diagnostics and to have a written estimate prepaired so that I could make a decision as to what I would like to do with my vehicle And, if furher proof of this statement is needed, I would encourage Geico to review its phone records in which I stronly indicated to the customer service repthat this was my desihave an estimate provided on cost and damages.Regards, [redacted]

I have pictures from the actual storm as well as a video of how hard and severe the storm was that caused such damages to my vehicle What documented written proof does Geico have and what evidence supports such? I had an accident with another Geico driver, I changed lanes and the driver wont let me change so he hit my fender, so geico declined coverage citing they could not determine who was at fault, I was with geico for over years, and another incident happened, I hit an animal , damaged my front bumper, so geico told me that we dont have animals and they did not beleive me lol, so if we dont have animals then why geico sells comprehensive to cover animal damages? so again they declined the coverage and the claim., It is true, Geico is cheap but they will fight every claim to make you cancel it and they will delay it and send an examiner and then make recording statements with several agents and require you to come in person and meet with them, to waste your time and then if you dont come they will cancel the claim citing you did not cooperate lolYour time is not of value at geico, they will not cover your claim , rest assured of that, also they will cancel your policy if you have more than claims within a months period and make you pay higher rate, yes it did happen to meGeico want a perfect driver with no claims at all lol, they are not perfect themselvesVery deceptive shady and ghetto company

September 8, 2014Dear [redacted] This will acknowledge receipt of your September 5, inquiry regarding the above referenced private passenger automobile insurance policy. Our records indicate that [redacted] previously insured two vehicles under GEICO auto policy number [redacted] , which was cancelled effective July 21, as per [redacted] ’s requestThe policy cancellation resulted in an outstanding earned premium balance of $since the policy was not paid up to the requested cancellation dateEnclosed are copies of the multiple bills that were sent to [redacted] at that time reflecting the outstanding balance that was owed on the cancelled policy. On August 19, [redacted] established a new policy ( [redacted] ) via our company’s website to insure a [redacted] with an effective date of August 20, At the time of the transaction, [redacted] was again informed of the outstanding earned premium balance of $from her prior policy, which she was required to pay before the new policy could be established [redacted] then submitted the $payment via GEICO’s website along with a down payment of $in order establish the new policy. On August 20, [redacted] contacted GEICO via telephone and requested to cancel her new policyAs requested, the policy was cancelled effective August 20, and a refund of the down payment ($125.30) was subsequently applied to [redacted] ’s VISA card on August 21, Enclosed is an itemized statement of account reflecting the transactions that occurred on the new policy. It is GEICO’s position that the earned premium payment of $that [redacted] submitted on August 19, was for coverage our company provided on her prior policy up to the indicated cancellation dateAs such, we are unable to comply with [redacted] ’s request to refund the said paymentGEICO is also unable to reimburse [redacted] for any overdraft fees that she incurred since our company has no control over how long her financial institution takes to credit her account with the refund that was promptly provided as indicated in the included statement of account.Since there appears to be no valid complaint against GEICO, we ask that this be removed from our record
[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you [redacted] update it before sending it.] Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is somewhat satisfactory I supposeNot great, because I still lost money from this whole debacle from purchases I made without funds actually in the bank I would not have gone further into the negative by buying things that I didn't actually have the money to buy had I known that Geico would make an error like this and take so much out of my account, but they still insist it was my wife's fault so there is no winning with themJust glad I no longer have to deal with Geico anymore Regards, [redacted] ***
We have received your letter requesting assistance on behalf of [redacted] We welcome the opportunity to respond to her concerns and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused her [redacted] reported the claim to us on October 15, At that time we told Ms [redacted] we did not believe she had any responsibility in this accident because the other driver involved ran a red light, entered the intersection, and collided into her vehicleThe initial adjuster reviewed the coverage available on her policy and explained to her that she did not have Collision Coverage on her policyHe offered to transfer her call to the at-faulty party’s insurance company, ***, so she could report the claim and have her damages handled directly with themSince [redacted] does not have Collision Coverage, we are unable to legally pursue [redacted] Insurance Company or their insured directly for her damagesWe are, however, able to follow up with [redacted] Insurance for status updates which we have done multiple timesClaims Supervisor Jonathan C [redacted] called [redacted] and left a voice mail with their adjuster’s Manager [redacted] on October 22, In his message, he explained [redacted] ’s situation and offered witness information which may move their investigation towards resolutionHe also asked what their next steps were, and requested a call back to discuss the claim [redacted] ’s damages are still unresolved as of the date of this letterWe understand she is frustrated with ***’s investigation and their inability to resolve their claim, and that she is disappointed with us because she feels like we are not doing enough to be an advocate for her to get this matter expedited and resolvedSupervisor Jonathan C [redacted] has called Ms [redacted] , provided her with a claim status update, and explained he would call Ms [redacted] back after he is able to discuss the claim with ***’s Manager, [redacted] Although we are legally unable to pursue recovery of her damages, we are able to continue to reach out to [redacted] Insurance and be an advocate for [redacted] I hope this information is helpful in resolving [redacted] ’s concernsIf you have any additional questions, please contact Claims Supervisor, Jonathan C [redacted] , at ###-###-####, extension Sincerely, Martha F [redacted] Regional Vice President Government Employees Insurance Company NAIC: MF/jc/jp
Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:First of all, I never reinstated my renter's insurance policy with GeicoIn fact, I was told over the phone that reinstatement WAS NOT EVEN A POSSIBILITY unless I paid the rest of the year in fullAs I wanted to deal with the horrible customer service representatives from Geico as little as possible, I certainly did not take that optionAfter their refusal to take off the late fee, I decided to pay all past and current charges at that time to cancel out my [redacted] policyOn November 18, 2013, I paid all fees and costs related to this insurance policy, thus closing the accountI received an email confirming this cancellation and that my balance was $from ***, as well as the recorded phone conversationI have emails from two separate reps at Geico stating my balance was $0, and I didn't owe anything more to the companyI would be happy to send you these emails, as well as a recording of the original phone call (Geico should have it on file as well), as long as I am guaranteed that my personal information will not be released- There is both my address at the time on it and my credit card information in the phone callAlso, how would it make sense that I pay almost $in back payments and fees and refuse to pay an additional $to close out my account and stop working with these people, as ** [redacted] has claimedTalking to Geico representatives has been not only a painful experience, but a huge tax on my timeI would never draw this experience outAs to the $service fee ** [redacted] mentioned, I was told in a different conversation in December (after I had received a new bill stating that I owed Geico money) that "service fee" was a $letter feeSince they sent me letters AFTER I had closed out my account in November, I owed them an additional $to whatever other charges they said I owedIt would be impossible for me to owe a $service fee on 11/as ** [redacted] stated, as neither of those letters had even been sent out yet- They would be sent in DecemberTo be perfectly frank, I think it is disgusting that Geico could think to get away with these hidden fees and go back on their wordI think it is horrible that they would call me a liar over the phone and through email, even after showing them my $balance emails and playing the recordings I haveI think they believe they can play with customers' lives and money, even going so far as refusing to give me the names of managers, representatives, underwriters or anyone else involved in my billing fiasco and refusing to let me talk to anyone else except the representative who picked up the phoneI have been hung up by them, told that I would receive callbacks that never happened, and generally regarded as dirtTalking to [redacted] and making an issue of this through social media was the only way I was able to get this handled, and [redacted] even apologized to me for this experienceHowever, it was not through [redacted] that I was required to pay, it was through GeicoNo matter how many times Geico repeats that the policy was [redacted] ', all billing, mailings, and customer service experiences had unfortunately needed to be handled through and by GeicoGeico was the one who told me my balance was $0, and Geico was the one who demanded I pay late fees a month after I canceled and zeroed out my account Regards, [redacted] Re: I am writing to you in response to ** [redacted] ’s concerns outlined in your March 20, communication GEICO Insurance Agency, Inc(GIAI) is an agent for [redacted] InsuranceAs an agent we must abide by the rates, rules and guidelines set forth by the carrier ** [redacted] s policy was sold effective July 12, ** [redacted] made an initial down payment of $ The policy was set on a payment plan and the additional bills were mailed to ** [redacted] After the policy cancelled for nonpayment, ** [redacted] contacted GIAI and paid the overdue premium to reinstate the policy coverageAt this point ** [redacted] refused to pay the billing and late feesThis refusal to pay the appropriate fees resulted in a balance being left on the account The policy was cancelled per ** [redacted] s request on November 18, The balance as of that date was $16.89, $in earned premium and $in feesThis balance was billed to ** [redacted] Due to the low outstanding balance, [redacted] has decided not to peruse recovering the fund by Collections method ** [redacted] has been released of the responsibility paying the $ If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact me at ###-###-#### Sincerely, [redacted] GEICO Insurance Agency, Inc
