I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
This response in no way acknowledges the circumstances. The employees that they hired to work for and represent their company lied about their policies and would not give me the opportunity to check them at the beginning. Attached is evidence that I have reached out to this company and have heard nothing back. As you will note, the email matches their reply back to us, leading me to believe that they never actually read that customer service email if this is the first they are hearing of the issue.I cannot produce proof in the method they are asking because none can be produced in the way that their employee said it would be handled on the phone. I got no confirmation numbers, no paperwork, only an assurance that my membership was indeed cancelled. This was a falsification. Paperwork was not submitted, and I only learned later of their cancellation process, which was not made clear to me at the time of signing up, or made public anywhere for me to seek out on my own. As mentioned before, when signing up, the employee was visibly and verbally irritated, and rushed me through the process without letting me read the contract in full, and I did not receive one via email as the current assistant manager claims I should have. As far as I was aware, based on the false information given to me by the employees, my account was cancelled.

Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us. I looked into this member's account and see that he is a Valley Stream member who joined well in advance of the club opening. This club in particular was extremely delayed with opening it's doors due to various construction delays. We kept members who...
joined during pre-sale informed, allowing them access to all other Blink locations while Valley Stream was still closed. We also communicated when the club would open well in advance of the date. The club opened its doors on 3/12/16. With regards to usage, blink memberships are not based on usage. A member may utlize the facility as often or as little as they like. We do not discontinue memberships because there is little to no usage. A member must submit a cancellation request to close their account. It does appear that this account was cancelled for final notice collections after being 90 days past due, essentially 3 months of dues not paid. We sent around 18 communications via email and phone messages over the 90 day period starting on day 3 past due. Finally, we cancelled the account on 6/**/16 due to no response from the member and non payment. The account was sent to a collection agency shortly there after. In good health,Blink Fitness

Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us. We looked into the concern and see that the member did in fact submit for cancellation on 10/*/16. The cancellation was processed on 10/**/16; however, the member had an already existing past due balance from their 9/*/16 and 10/*/16 billing cycles...
totaling $30.00. Emails and phone calls were sent using the contact information on file to inform the member they had said balance as early as 9/*/16 to no avail. The member came into cancel their membership on 10/*/16, which was a Friday and one of our weekly re-billing dates for members who have a balance owed. The balance was not displaying as needing to be paid when they submitted their request as to avoid a double charge situation. This means that if the credit card on file was able to be charged for the past due balance of $30 and the member then made a payment on that same day, 10/*/16, they would be double charged. The CC ultimately declined and the balance then displayed again on the account. The payment of $10.50 was then applied towards the past due balance on 9/*/16. As a result, the account is set to cancel on 11/**/16 with a remaining balance owed: 9/*/16 ($4.50), 10/*/16 ($15.00), and the final prorate for the 21 days in November on 11/*/16 ($10.50). Why would anyone go through fighting or arguing a bill in this magnitude. I was a paid member for 2 years but when decided to cancel based on a physical injury, now everything I submitted is void and null because they don't have a cancellation form even though it was completed and submitted? As I previously mentioned if the associate had told me I could not cancel over the phone then I would of came in however at the fault of your employee I was not properly informed and yet you keep giving me the same response. As a company you should take fault for your employees training, telling me the same thing that I'm complaining about is not a resolution to the issue. I unsubscribe to your e-mails since I was getting an abundance and I was never informed by telephone especially since YOUR OWN MANAGER SAID 'we do not call clients because we have too many' so once again that information is false. Like I previously said the only time I was notified was when a letter was sent by your lawyers so there is no way I could of responded in time being that I was never informed. Your policy and actions are completely contradicting. I am still not getting the proper customer service I deserve for your employees mistake.
