I am rejecting this response because: They still owe us for replacing the floor that was defective. They are the ones that came out and told us the floor was damaged or defective and needed to be replaced. I was told by [redacted] that they were going going to issue us a refund after the install was completed. He said and in his words, " They needed to finish the replacement flooring first because the work order needed to be closed out before they could issue the refund." He also said that he would stop out the next week with the check to make sure we were happy with the new flooring. That never happened. There was always a reason he couldn't make it, then he changed his answer to say they were not going to pay us because his boss said they weren't going to do it because we called them, Empire, back out because of some new damage to the floor. that is true , but that does not change the fact that the floor was defective, by there own omission. There was not flood and I never said that. The damaged floor was only about 50 square feet, but they said it all needed to be replaced. They upgraded the floor on their own. I never asked for an upgrade. They did it because all the flooring they had in stock was defective and they said, the salesman said they would upgrade it. That also has no bearing on this as they said they would without being asked. This is going on to long and needs to resolved and the only way to do that is for them to pay us. I will not give up.

After the install of the new floor everything appears in order, however this was the case during the first install. As the adhesive cures and the floor settles that is when Ill know for sure that I am either satisfied with the install or will have to contact Empire again for repairs. As of this moment, the day of install everything looks good.

I am rejecting this response because: I believe some compensation is in...
order. I had to take 2 days off work so that Empire could fix the problem they created which took 2 months to fix! The number of hours I spent calling, leaving messages and emailing all to fall on deaf ears. The lack of communication and poor customer service should be worth something. We spent a lot of money and to be treated the way we were treated is preposterous! Furthermore, no apologies were given. All around the worst company I have had to deal with. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

I am rejecting this response because: there has not been a different solution offered to the problem. I spoke with Vikki again yesterday and she offered to have the vinyl floor replaced at no charge but since they no longer carry the floor I have and I did not like any of the other options, I would have to pick one I don't like and continue to pay for the new floor. She also mentioned that the subfloor would be replaced at no charge. I never knew they were going to charge me for this since this was supposed to be repaired when the initial floor was installed! She again offered laminate flooring (which I don't want) at an additional charge. I told her that these were the same options that were previously presented and that I want a full refund so I can have the floor replaced by another company.
