I ordered a $100 JJill gift card which I paid $80 for. Immediately upon arrival I checked the value and it was $0! I emailed and called so called customer service several times and did not receive a response. I filed a fraudulent claim with my bank and after an investigation I was refunded the money. I wish I read the negative reviews before purchasing. There are reputable gifs card exchange sites out there...sadly this is not one of them.
In November 2018, I purchaseda $864 *** gift card for $734. I recieved the gift card by email. When I went to use it, *** said it had a zero balance. I have purchased gift cards from EJgiftcards on 4 other occasions, with no problem. I submitted a claim for the gift card. After 2 weeks I finially called and was told that they were expecting a call from Lowe's. Well later on that day I received an email stating that the gift card had been used 12 months ago, and that I would receive a full refund in 14-21 business days. After the time was up, I started calling the number on the claim form that I had called before. There is a recording that says they are on the phone, and thats it. I tried emailing, with no reply. I finially contacted my credit card company and they resolved this for me. Please save your money on this company. Nothing but heartache and grief from lousy busines ethics...

They have some kind of automated system that casts a wide net in screening out buyers. I have bought cards for years from various companies, but every order I have instituted with EJ has been rejected, without explanation, and they don't answer emails or phone calls. I still have a pending charge on my credit card 12 days and counting, after one of my canceled orders. Credit card company says I can't dispute the charge while it is pending. Meanwhile, my credit line is tied up.

I purcahsed a *** gift card as a gift, the number I was sent does not work. I contacted EJ gift cards on the same day, 12/17/18. I was told it would be 14-21 days, we are now past that and they will not communicate with me or fix this issue.

I currently have 11 refund requests filed with the EJ Gift Cards totaling 1186.39 for gift card codes that did not work. All claims were filed withing the 100 day warranty period for the gift cards. Several times I received gift card codes and tried to redeem them within 10 minutes and the codes had already been used. One was a $960 Amazon card that was no good just 10 minutes later. Here are the claim numbers for the 11 open claims I have filed with EJ Gift Cards ***.
They did refund the first claim I filed back in July. I trusted they would take care of the others in the 14-21 business days they said it takes to do an investigation but some of the refund requests are 5 months old with no status updates and no refund. One case they emailed me as "resolved" and "scheduled my refund" but that was back in August and I am still waiting for my money 4 months later. For the other 10 cases I never heard anything back from the company other than acknowledgement they received the claim and logging a claim number.
I have emailed them many times about these outstanding refunds and all I get are form letter email replies that these investigations take time. I think they are just running out the clock hoping I will give up. I have called them dozens of times and have yet to have a human answer the phone. All I get is the same message that "we are experiencing high call volumes and I can expect a 7-10 minute wait". I stayed on the line a few times for over an hour and kept getting the same 7-10 minute wait message every 5 minutes.
I filed a review at the Revdex.com back on Dec . The company seemed to respond to other negative reviews; however, I have heard nothing from them so I decided to file a formal complaint.
I am trying to figure out how to get back the $1,186.39 they owe me. Please help.

Actually the worst company I've ever worked with. They did not pay me out the way they said they were "***" and instead wanted me to enter my bank account information onto some site just to get a payout.

Luckily I was only trying to buy a $10 *** gift card, but the card given was invalid and I was unable to redeem it. I wish I had seen all these reports beforehand. I will be filing a dispute with my bank. It’s very shady that they have my card information now. I would not trust this business.

On May *** I purchased a gift card online for the restaurant the Melting Pot.
Order # was *** and I was given a card with no balance.
I have contacted customers service dozens of times and was promised a refund several times yet to this day have never received my money back. I have even said at least give me the equivalent in gift cards if I couldn’t get a refund.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
The refund was issued - card had fraudulent transactions shortly after the purchase and a replacement card issued. Refund was issued to the old card and as of now properly routed.

I purchased a Southwest Digital Gift Card from EJCards.com in July, 2018. When I went to use it on Southwest's website the card number came up as invalid. On contacting Ejgiftcards, they said they would look into the issue. I then received an email from them confirming I would be issued a refund of $85 dollars since my claim was valid one. I have yet, after multiple emails sent to them, to receive my refund. This is absolutely terrible customer service. It has been thee months since I received an email from them telling me I would be refunded. and since then in other emails they have continued to promise a refund but never deliver. It is unfortunate it has to come to this.
At this time, I have been contacted directly by EJ Gift Cards regarding complaint ID however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
I don't know why. I just get more or less the same response that my claim is being processed but it has been almost three months since I was told this. Still no refund has been issued to my Credit Card.
