Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute
Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below. The reason that I am rejecting the business response is because even though D.RHorton did set up an appointment with me for Thursday, January at 4:pmThe following set of events happen during the appointment: On January at 3:pm I received a call from Ms*** *** indicating that her boss Mr*** asked her to call me and notify me that the appointment needed to be cancelled due to rainI explained to her that it will be essential for him to come to my place especially during the raining day that way he could see/witness the issue that I am havingI also explained that the rain was not coming down hard and it will only take a few minutes as my walkway was already floodedI asked if she could provide me with Mr*** phone number so I can contact him and explain the situationMs*** said that she couldn't but she was going to rely my message to Mr*** She said she would try her best as she couldn't do much as Mr*** is her boss and she cannot make him do anything/give him orders. Ten minutes later, Ms*** called me back saying that Mr*** had agreed to come over to look at my issue and I should expect him in minutes. At 4:pm I noticed a white truck parked in front of my house and two men standing and staring at the houseThey did not ring the door bell or knock on the door I then went outside to inquire if it was Mr*** One of the men responded and said he was Mr***I then explained the issue that I am havingHe asked the other man to walk the walkwayThe man's toe-steel boots got wetHe then agreed saying that I do have an issue and that some type of drainage needed to be installed since the water just sits there making the area floodHe said that unfortunately they won't be able to work on the issue right away due to the forecasted inclement weather, but most likely the following week (25-January 2016) he will send someone to work on the issue. The reason I do not accept the response made by the business is mainly because the issue has not been resolvedAs of today it is just a word of mouth, until the issue gets resolved I will not accept the response.

*** *** This is NOT something that was brought up after years and months and has absolutely NOTHING to do with a warranty but, rather a walkthrough item that was documented by *** *** in January and NEVER honored (he and your company have ignored us since after the first walkthrough and several promises to take care of it) I've been emailing, calling, and texting for 3+ years trying to get this resolved with NO response Now that I'm getting violation letters from our HOA, it has prompted us to reach out to you again As stated in my email/letter to you on 5/- *** ***e first noted that the sodding was laid incorrectly and asked us to provide this as an item on our list be redone back in You can't maintain a yard with grass seed and topsoil that is several inches thick with rock and limestone You claim you threw some grass seed and topsoil in our yard but, I ask you what did this do for us or the sod that was not laid properly in the first place? This was to pacify us and not the original promise of raking the rock and dead soil out and re-sodding Furthermore, you dug rock out and re-sodded for other neighbors on *** *** *** and *** *** *** just to name a couple that we are aware of Why did DR Horton honor it for others but not for us? Wouldn't it be easier to honor a year old promise rather than go back and forth on this issue? We are asking once again that you honor your original promise of taking care of this Thank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business
in reference to complaint ID *** and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute.I received a call from Stansell Drywall, a vendor of DR HortonThey stated they were sent a work order for the repairs at my homeThey were actually an interior drywall company and they are not sure why they were contacted for my repairsThey stated that DR Horton should have contacted a siding company for the dormer, and a different company for the stone veneer workCaulk is one item needed but there are other issues that need to be addressed as wellThey would only be able to address the caulk needed for the exterior window but would not do any work to the stone veneer or get on the roof for the dormer deteriorated trim repairs. I have yet to hear from the garage door contractorHowever, I was notified that it would be within hours on Wednesday so they are not late to call as of yet

I am rejecting this response because: the original warranty repair work was never completed correctlyA technician should come out to verify that the work was never successfully done properlyMy warranty request was filed within the allotted time for the repairs to be made and I not left with fixing the incompleteness of a job done on the half of DR HortonAttached is the technicians summary of a recent visit in which I had to pay to discover this work was not completed properly.

Again, D R Horton's response is factually incorrect I did not mistake the price as "starting from." The sales agent, Travis, printed out the specifications for Lot and told me, that Lot was priced at $442,He told me he couldn't take me inside of Lot because of the construction He circled Lot on the site plan We did the prequaification for Lot at that price Travis even gave me the breakdown what my costs and estimated mortgage payments would be for Lot Always at the same price I reiterate that I did not misunderstand, nor did I make a mistakeTravis and D R Horton purposefully misled me in terms of pricing. It bears noting, that D R Horton's first response stated that I was interested in a completely different lot in a different community At this point, they should acknowledge their wrongdoing and make reparations
We have communicated with the granite and trim vendors and instructed them to proceed with the repairs for the above homeowner. We show that they reached out to the homeowner and left a message on May 4th to schedule. This will be repaired upon response
We appreciate the customer's patience as it has taken us some time to work through the hurricane-related customer service needs of our homeownersWemet with the homeowner today to discuss the necessary repair work and work orders have been sent to the vendors for scheduling
As previously recommended, the homeowner is encouraged to reach out to ***, as it is our assessment that after further investigation, the driveway cracks are a result of work performed by ***
*** *** has been in communication with this homeowner regarding their roof concernsThe shingle issue noted by the customer is a result of the lateral tropical storm force winds at mph sustained and gusts over mph experienced during Hurricane IrmaFollowing the homeowner's insurance
adjuster's inspection, we informed the roofing company of the findings and requested an assessment - it was determined by the roofing company that while the shingles were installed correctly, the roof did sustain damage during the stormPer the terms of the warranty agreement, tropical storm-related damage is not warrantable, and the homeowner is encouraged to discuss next steps with their homeowner's insurance company

Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below." DR Horton has requested to repair or replace the effected window as per the warranty agreement"The original window that was installed can not be replaced, it needs to be replaced. We were told by DR Horton that they "only" deal with *** Windows. The situation with *** has already been explained and in the original complaint. The window that was delivered by *** is NOT acceptable nor is it protected with a warrantyNo one from *** has tried to reach out to the owners about the expired window warranty. The owners have given DR Horton TWO years to resolve this issue and to keep saying what can not be done is not any type of resolution.DR Horton is still not taking responsibility nor trying "resolve" anything. If *** is the only window company that a big company like DR Horton has a "contract" with, then DR Horton is NOT offering a solution

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me I'd like to reserve the right to reopen this complaint is the issue is not resolvedIt's been an ongoing issue that never seems to be properly corrected; unfortunately until we get another heavy rainfall, we do not know if each resolution attempt is successfulOur biggest concern is that this is an issue that the builder was aware of at closing
