I am rejecting this response because: I still feel Dell sold both the XPS 10 tablet and the 40 pin HDMI USB Charger dongle under false advertisement. You cannot tell me a company as big as Dell changes products in just a few months without months of planning. I bought the tablet in fall of 2013 with Windows RT 8.0 installed on it. In 2014 they went from Windows RT to regular Windows 8.1 on their tablets. Nothing was said about the tablet being discontinued or Dell going away from Windows RT. The dongle is advertised to work with XPS 10 tablet specifically. Dell did have me try a couple of different 3rd party items but none worked. Dell would not research as to why the dongle would not work with Windows RT 8.1. Within a certain amount of time (at least a couple of years) Dell should support the products they sell even if the product is discontinued. I am not trying to get a new tablet, I like the tablet. I just want the tablet I bought to do what it was advertised to do, projecting to an external source.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. While they did not give the $50 extra I was lead to believe on my first call, their technical support was very helpful.

I am rejecting this response because: they offered me the same thing they offered each of the 4 times I called them requesting they send me the tablet they omitted from my original order.  They did not attempt in good faith to resolve this issue in any way.  In my mind, Dell engaged in deceptive practices.  They advertised a free tablet if I purchased a laptop of a certain value on a certain day.  I purchased the certain valued laptop on that day, and was entitled to receive a free tablet.  I am offended that Dell would tell me the only other thing they could do now, as a settlement, would be to give me a refund if I returned the laptop.  That is not an acceptable business practice, and Dell did not act in good faith to resolve this issue with me.

I am rejecting this response because:  The issue with the computer is not resolved, nor has it been fixed.  Although Dell offered to have a someone contact me about troubleshooting the problem on January 27, 2015, I have yet to be contacted by anyone from Dell regarding the continuing random issues with the Dell system.  The system that Dell offered to exchange was an different model system than the Dell system I currently have.  The Dell repair Depot returned by original system on the same date that the exchange system also arrived.  Rather than incur the time in loading my programs and data onto the exchanged system, I used my original system to avoid several lost hours in transferring programs and data.The issues with the product have not been resolved and I am requesting that the complaint remain open and active until the issues are completely resolved.  I strongly believe that this particular Dell system may be a lemon.
