DBA Protect Your Home is an Indiana corporation that specializes in selling residential alarm systemsWe have been an ADT authorized dealer since that sells and installs ADT monitored security systemsOnce the security system is installed, the contract is then purchased, billed, serviced and maintained by ADT After reviewing the call I show Ms*** did call into us inquiring on service due to recent ad that she received offering pre-wired/wireless Sensor Package Offer for $for the life of their contract (does not include QSP), PLUS a $visa gift card for signing up with Protect Your HomeDuring the call our representative did pitch the takeover process if our security advisor is able utilize the system. Ms*** did called in on July 12th in regards to the installation and upset our installer was unable to utilize her preexisting systemShe did speak to our account services team in regards to the additional equipment we offered and offered 2nd VISAMs*** also did speak to our technical support specialist in regards to the installation he was going to attempt to schedule an representative to go over with her regarding the systemOur records show our installer had advised Ms*** that the system was obsolete and we were going to take the system wirelessShe became verbally abusive and our agent had to disconnect on her after he advised times to stop yelling and using profanity on the callWe do reflect Ms*** did eventually submit her Notice of cancelation within her Rights of rescissionWe show she had service appointment scheduled for the removal of the system however Ms*** was not available and has not rescheduled the system pullOur notice of Cancelation does advise she does need to make our equipment available and she has not made it availableDue to this reasoning the refund process will be prolonged since she has not called back to schedule the removal of our equipmentWhen Ms*** signed the contract where she gave us consent to drill in her walls she would need to reference the contract she signed. I do not understand where this "outside" party advertisement/promo comes in. I called ADT for assistance. The business here clearly states that they are an ADT authorized dealer. The e-mail I received and responded to was from ADT. I did not call an outside party, or call in response to any outside party's ad. This is completely wrong.I also do not know what a "4-Day Representative" is. What is that or who is that and when did this "4-Day Representative" contact me? This is just nonsense.Absolutely absent from the response is the fact that the business representative assured me when they were installing my alarm system that I could add cameras at any time, since they were not in my budget at the time of the initial installation. This fact was obviously misrepresented to me to induce me to proceed with the installation.I called in response to an e-mail from ADT. I called only to get information regarding camera installation on March 26, 2016. It seemed as it should have been a fairly simple request, especially in light of the promises made that I could add additional equipment at any time, when I entered into the agreement to have the alarm system installed. I am now told that it just cannot be done, directly opposite of what I was told to induce me to enter into this contract, complete my installation and sign the contract. This business has made blatant misrepresentations to me. Additionally, the customer service at this business is one of the worst, if not THE worst I have ever encountered. All I wanted to do was ADD service to my contract which I was promised I could do when the alarm was installed. They are not able to provide the service I was promised and have breached the contract. I will provide the notes and information I received when the alarm was installed as soon as possible. Those records are at my home, and I am unable to obtain them today. The representations by this business are and do not address the lack of service and their inability to provide the service I was promised for the inducement to enter into the agreement to have an alarm installed by ADT. They are and ADT authorized dealer, by their own admission.

Ms*** called in on March 25, advising they movefrom her home because her landlord refuses to remove the mold in her basementcausing her family become ill. She wasadvised they were in contractual agreement if they opt to cancel the service wewould have held them to the termination cost of the contractI personallyspoke to Mr*** on April 1, and advised him that we would need somekind of document reflecting that his home is uninhabitable to live in and wewould be glad to release him from the contractI then advised him that he had theoption to move the security system however he was currently living relativesuntil he is able to relocate. I didoffer him a reimbursement in the equivalent of four months of monitoring at therate of $to cover time until he was able to move his service.Unfortunately this amount was not applied to the balance causing his account tobe canceled due to non-payment. Our internal collections team contacted the accountholder to attempt to collect the termination cost on March 19, 2015. Our collection agent notified us in regardingclaim and we again advised the agent that we are needing some documents tosupport the claim that his house was not livableMr*** was contacted againon March 24, to attempt to collect the debt and he was advised once morehe needed to provide documentHe advised our agent that he had court documents to support thisclaim and would fax them in We received the documents on April 15th and honoredthe release from contract and waived the remaining balanceThe account holderwas also provided a confirmation letter to support the release, which isattached as well. He also would like an end to the sales tactics Mr*** spoke to our internal relocations departmentTraditionally, we are able to utilize equipment from the previous installation as long as we installed the original systemIt appears that Mr*** may not have been an original customer of Protect Your HomeIf he was not, there is a chance his original installation company used a different manufacturer for his ADT alarm systemIf that is true, it would not have been compatible with our equipment I am not sure how he was transferred to our internal relocations teamThe manager spoke to him as if he was one of our customers not knowing the original relocation sales agent established he was installed by a different ADT installation companyIf Mr*** was an ADT corporate customer, they would not have allowed him to transfer the equipmentIt appears that a chain of unfortunate events led to his current predicamentI attempted to contact Mr*** and left him my contact information In order to upgrade to Pulse Level with the camera capabilities, we charged Mr*** the activation fee of $I also see that additional sensors beyond the free two provided were purchased therefore adding to the costSince Mr*** signed a contract with Protect Your Home, it is too late for his original installation company to handle the relocation of his alarm system In order to get a better picture of the issue and to find the root of the problem, I will need to speak to Mr***He can call me back at 317-810-I apologize for any inconvenience he may have experienced during this process Sincerely, Crystal F* Customer Loyalty Representative Protect Your Home ADT Authorized Premier Provider E: [email protected]

Dear Ms***, This letter is in response to the complaint # *** by *** ***By way of background, Defenders, Inc. DBA Protect Your Home is an Indiana corporation that specializes in selling residential alarm systemsWe have been an ADT authorized dealer since that sells and installs ADT monitored security systemsOnce the security system is installed, the contract is then purchased, billed, serviced and maintained by ADT In summary, Mr*** states that he cancelled his order because he did not get the cameras he initially wantedAfter our equipment was removed, part of his old system was left not working Mr*** cancelled his order within his three day cancellation window on March 9, The system removal was completed on March 11, We were made aware of his concerns through a different complaint avenue, so an agent spoke to him about his concerns on March 17, Through her research, she found that the local branch attempted to restore his pre-existing alarm system but was unsuccessfulHis old system was installed by ADT, so he was referred to ADT to set up his servicesHe was advised that ADT should be able to get his system running again should he go through them instead of usHe seemed satisfied with this response on March 17, I apologize if Mr*** was inconvenienced during this process, but I appreciate the opportunity to address his concerns Sincerely, Crystal F* Customer Loyalty Representative Protect Your Home ADT Authorized Premier Provider E: [email protected]

ADT charged total of $on my credit card, however ADT only agreed to refund $back to my credit card! As today, I still do not receive the refundPlease act as a honest business and refund all of my money that you charged on my credit card
