effective collection services to its clients, assuring always that the consumer is dealt with in a professional and appropriate manner*** ***’s complaint originates from a student loan account that was placed in our office by Access Group on February 5th of this yearThe complaint states that payments were agreed upon and SIMM Associates is now trying to raise them and that the consumer’s account was over-drawn by us and the money was not retuned in a timely fashionIn response to the complaint about SIMM Associates attempting to increase payments and settle the account, we contacted the consumer in March and took three payments with the understanding that we would follow up when they were done. Any payments taken on post-default accounts are temporary and by no means permanent terms of repayment. We followed up in June and took four more because the situation was unchangedWe again followed up in September and October and tried to settle the account to resolve the debt. It appears that the consumer is under the assumption that payments can be made until the debt is paid in full, when actually we were making a temporary accommodation until the consumer could find means to either pay the debt off in full or agree to a settlement amount. In regards to the time it takes to reimburse the over-payment, while it may be an inconvenience, it is our company policy to first verify with banking statements and then cut a manual check back to the consumer According to our records, there are monthly payments scheduled to post through March of Should there be any questions, the consumer may contact *** *** at *** ** *** ** *** *** *** Thank you

Problem:Regarding account ***: Please note that there is a previous complaint filed under Complaint *** regarding this accountIn July, I received a call *** *** who left a message on my voicemail regarding an attempt to collect debtOnce call was returned, I requested a verification of debt, which she replied with "if you have a security clearance," implying that if I don't comply with them right away, I'll lose my clearance for my jobI do not appreciate being pushed into making payments for the debt with their companyThere were other suggestions toward litigation and how I should pay OR ELSEAlthough not pushy, she elegantly implied many things in order for me to set up paymentI finally HAD to set payment up to avoid further callsShe did tell the main operator she was trying to collect debt, which he informed me of, but she told me she did not tell anyone here at my place of employment that she was collecting a debtI find that the method to push me into payment was uncalled forPayments were setup for monthly $incrementsPayments did go throughI received a response on July that a verification of debt letter would be sent to my address; however, no such letter arrived nor did any emails confirming previous payments, which my bank has record of from Simms AssociatesThe dispute was closed per Revdex.com due to no reply from meOn September 2015, I noticed that no payments were automatically debited from my checking account per the phone agreementI did not receive any written notice that the account payments would be cancelled and therefore had no reason to assume otherwise for August 2015's paymentI then contacted Simms Associates via their toll free number and requested to check the automatic payments that were set upI provided my social, which ends in 1260, and my date of birth to Kendra per her requestI did inform her I was aware of the situation with the account and could provide more informationI was told that she was not allowed to provide me any information regarding this account because I am not a customer of theirsShe stated that he is not allowed to discuss anything with meI had the account number, but she wouldn't take itI decided to hang up after she refused to assist me and contact the Revdex.com for assistance once againAfter reviewing any information provided to me from Simms Associates between July 15th and Sept 15th, I have yet to receive any verification of debt letter, nor any letters to verify the debt with Simms, nor any bills or notices of any kind regarding the balance due for the PayPal account they purchased and contacted me to payPayPal has verified my complaint and agreed to take payments directly from me through my online login to account ***, which is the actual account charged off and contracted to Simms Associates under their account number ***Should PayPal refuse any current or future payments on this account , the records will show that payments were made on a monthly basis through my bank, Chase Bank, I will hold Simms responsible for any potential litigation against the account in question (and I say this due to the initial rep in July informing me that if I do not pay, they will take me to court).Translate Desired Resolution / OutcomeDesired Resolution:Other (requires explanation)selectDesired Outcome:I request that Simms cease contact with me for all future payments due to PayPal accepting direct payments from me and allowing me to no longer associate with Simms for credit collection purposes on my accountI Please contact PayPal regarding the account on file should you need further informationIf any form of contact, including but not limited to, litigation, letters of intent to charge, revised offers, additional fees, charges, etc., court documents or summons, as well as billing, payment requests, or anything regarding, involving, or implying this account and/or debt from your company, it's associates, or it's representatives, interns, or any other persons or businesses associated with for any reason, I will immediately file further complaints with the Revdex.com and file one with the CFPBAccount: ***PayPal account is *** Social Security ending in *** *** *** *** *** * *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** ***
