Our VP of Sales contacted this home-buyer and worked out a resolution on June 3, 2017.  Thanks Tell us why here...

Communities is not continuing to work through this issue (Foundation Issue), the leadership of the company has addressed a framing issue (which is not resolved). The leadership is more concerned with setting "close dates" and "walk-throughs" and not showing up for them. The conversations have not wavered with Century Communities, "we have built a quality home" accept it and please close now.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 17, 2015/11/24) */
The Consumers have defaulted on the contract by failing to close on the home, the contract has been terminated. Century Communities considers this case closed

I have been in contact with [redacted] and we have come to an agreement that the remaining work to be completed will be performed at a date and time that better fits his schedule.

Per the terms of the agreement, (which we can send if needed) Ms. [redacted] is not longer able to cancel her purchase agreement with Century Homes and receive her earnest money back.  Our Sales Associate and Sales Managers have been upfront and transparent with Ms. [redacted] and we believe we have acted in good faith in holding a home off the market and moving forward with the buyers wants and needs per her requests.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/09/03) */
Century Communities responded to a complaint about a leak at the master bath shower head, the leak may have been from the original install or may have been from a back stretching device hung from the shower head. In any event we fixed the leak...

cleaned up the mess removed the shower pan, tested for mold and received a clean report from the cleanup company. Our Customer Service Representative committed to the tenant that we would reimburse her for hotel bills if she felt the need to stay elsewhere, food and dry-cleaning expenses as a result of the leak. These bills amount to $1491.84 which we are willing to pay. She is asking for $3633.66 in expenses that was never discussed or agreed to. We do have a copy of the cleanup report that we will be happy to share with either the tenant, the owner or the property manager once we resolve this issue.
Complaint Response Date bumped because: Holiday

You will be contacted by a Century Communities representative that will observe the your concerns with the step to come to some resolution.

response because: while I did sign a contract, Century hones misrepresented the true cost of the home at the signing of the contract. I was not presented with actual cost of options and upgrades until months later. Because of this misrepresentation and being informed of the actual cost so much later, I'm not able to afford to purchase the home. I informed the builders preferred lender Academy Mortgage as soon as I knew the home being well beyond my means along with a change of status at my work. Both these unforeseen developments no longer permit me to afford this home. The Century homes has not responded to my termination notification and is currently withholding my $10,000 Earnest Money. I've been told by Century sales agent [redacted] to only deal with the Century Corporate office now since I contacted the Revdex.com, but she never provided me with a contact at their corporate office and they have not responded to resolve. Additionally Academy Mortgage agent Jerry Garcia never responded to my written notice when telling me he'd get back to me. This sub par service from Century Homes and their preferred lender Academy Mortgage makes it abduntanly clear you can not do business with Century Homes or their partners. I'm requesting full return of my $10,000 deposit.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Unfortunately as far as the concrete was concerned construction is completing that and I do not have information on that aspect. contact for that would be [redacted]@centurycommunities.com.It usually takes a minimum of two appointments to complete a service request. This can go up for a...

number of reasons including the fact the the customer is not using the web portal to submit requests. We have received the year end request from this customer and Our CSR is contacting the buyer to schedule a review.

This home buyer closed on their home and was given a check for the tile in the master Bathroom, we believe these issues to be resolved and  this to be a successful closing.

There is still a lot of water ponding at our back fence line. Most of the water is ponding...

on the adjacent property but is running and ponding on our property as well. The grading issues in and around our property are not fixed.

I am rejecting this response because: While moving the water line might been seen as an improvement the builder did not move the built in shower bench. So now the bench sits directly under the shower head. This makes using the shower awkward at best. When standing under the shower head your feet are touching the bench. The placement of the bench makes it impossible to stand directly under the shower head.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: Century Communities is rude and has lack of integrity. It has been 3 months since we've moved in and things are still left unfinished. The customer service, sales representative and on site contractor are unreliable and push blame onto other sources. I will be filing  a complaint with the state general attorney office as the contract stated that the home owner would receive keys on closing. I regret doing business with Century Communities.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:Regarding complaint #[redacted], the warranty is still not any further along than when I first filed this complaint.  Please keep this complaint open.Thank you,[redacted]

We will be happy to reach out to this homeowner today and offer to meet with them in their home to look at their issues.  We replaced all of the hardwood floors in this home and it is quite possible that there are some caulking and paint issues still to be completed, we will be happy to...

complete these items.Tell us why here...

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/10/20) */
Since Ms.[redacted] has entered her complaint against Century Homes, she has entered into the sales office on multiple occasions and has engaged our sales rep on moving forward with the purchase of the home. As of this morning, she sent another...

e-mail asking for her EM back as she doesn't think she can move forward with the contract. If Ms. [redacted] would like to back out of the contract, legally we have all the paperwork (signed by Ms. [redacted]) that would entitle us to keep all of the Earnest Money on the purchase. Century is willing to offer half of her Earnest Money back (5,000) to end the matter.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/10/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I did NOT engage the sales associate after filing the complaint because there was not an offer to change the contract so in my interest I did accept their offer of only half of my earnest money back but I have not received the money yet. Once I receive the money I will accept their response.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2015/11/21) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I had asked Century for all of my deposit money back due to the fact that their delay of construction caused the situation as to where I was not sure I could sell my home because of market fluctuation. I agreed to getting half of my deposit of $10,000.00 back but as a senior with children to raise, I really could use all my money back. They have had my deposit for 9 months now. I agreed to a refund of $5000.00 not $4500.00. However they still have not returned any of my money as of 11/21/15.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2015/12/07) */
This customer has signed our agreement and we have refunded her the money as outlined in the agreement.

I am rejecting this response because: I am sleeping on the floor and unless I am willing to pay in advance for a hotel than I have to be inconvenienced in my own home. This issue was not an act of nature but actually an issue with how the trades placed the vents on the home which caused the blizzard to cause damage inside of "select homes". I have had a fan in my room running for 3 days at this point using my electricityIn addition since I signed the contract on 6/2015, my experience has been less than favorable and Century approach has been more of a "ole well" demeanor.  In the past I have had homes built and never experienced the type of inconvenience and culture of "non-chalent" that century has expressed. So again besides "nature" the issues that I am requesting compensation are1. Carpet Cleaning-Trades has been in and out of my house and my carpet is dirty from wear and tear that would not be from 3 people living their especially when we are barely home 2. Inspector-Reimbursement for my inspection cost considering when my independent inspector came out he was not able to perform a complete inspection 3. Time- I have had to give up every day off to have a trade show up to resolve issues. Most of the time trades did not show so it was time wasted from work and things that I had to get handled in my life. It would of been different if they showed but they did not and as of today we still do not have all challenges resolved and new issues are arising that Century is aware of.  I have to call Century to find out when they are coming back to resolve and I am given a "let me call you" back response. I should not have to keep following up with the builder. This is a complete inconvenience and unprofessional. People have lives and we are 4 months into a new build. 4. My toilet-  Not to be explicit but anytime there is feces disposed in the toilet we must rinse the feces down by pouring water into the toilet with another bucket. We have had trades come out that represent Century of whom advised Century chose cheap toilets and as a result pouring water in the toilet to flush feces is necessary.UNACCEPTABLE!  In addition, if needed I can also send a copy of letters that were sent to VP in which I was not even acknowledged directly prior to closing.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
