I went to this company because of a online advertised rate. I have 800+ credit scores across all bureaus and currently earn $110-$125,000 now and annually for the past 10 years. I applied for a conventional loan 30 year fixed and was issued a valid pre-approval letter after all my documents were reviewed. 4 days prior to closing escrow the loan processor was switched to another processor which stated they would be packaging my loan to be sold to fannie mae or freddie mac. WTH?? I applied for a conventional loan not FHA this changed everything rates, fee's and not to mention the lost of 30 days down the drain!!! They're not honest people and will bait and switch and try to use the desperation they created to get you to sign and close on a loan that will net them the most money from doing a home loan for you. Avoid Tamara E[redacted] loan officer-Heather W[redacted] loan processor-Olga Purser loan processor. Sebonic Financial and Cardinal Financial. You have been warned!!!

[redacted] at Cardinal was great! He was able to lock me into an awesome interest rate and save me OVER $900 monthly! I highly recommend them if you are looking to re-fi your home!
This company delivered as promised. There were no surprises at closing. Overall very satisfied with the results.
Professional, competitive and reassuring - they quickly and accurately provided all the information necessary. They beat all the competitors prices, and were willing to work with me throughout the process. Excellent experience.
We had a great experience with our refinance through Cardinal. [redacted] was professional, helpful, thorough and responsive throughout the entire process. We completed the process from initial contact and information gathering to closing in 32 days. [redacted] and his staff were very efficient and friendly and helped us find the a great mortgage option and helped us improve our options after our appraisal came in higher than expected. He gave us several options and great advise. I especially liked the option of electronic communication and file uploads which moved the process along quickly and easily and was great for our busy schedules and our limited access to phone calls during the day. Although the entire process was done via email and phone, it felt very personal. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a mortgage!
Refinancing with Cardinal Financial was a hassle-free pleasure. Excellent process, great timing, superb responsiveness, and timely communication throughout the entire process, not to mention, the lowest rate available.
Cardinal Financial proved to go beyond the norm to accomplish a successful settlement for me. When one refinance option failed, Patrick H[redacted] and John M[redacted] quickly pulled together another that proved to be beneficial. Both patiently addressed my questions and concerns without hesitation and worked diligently throughout the process for a smooth settlement. I was amazed to receive constant communications every step of the way and would definitely use Cardinal again in the future.

I fired them. They shuffle you around never knowing what the other person is doing. They don't seem to care because they have automatic extra charges for extra time . They think their exorbitant deposit for appraisal will force you to stand for their [redacted]. I switched to [redacted]. Their lower charges made up for abandoning my 460.00 dollars.
As first time home buyers, we were nervous beginning the whole experience of finding a loan after finding our house! But my initial contact with the Loan Officer, [redacted] was outstanding. She gave me the lowest rate of all Loan Officers I spoke with- and I called nearly 25 different companies to shop. She was professional from the beginning, and very responsive, and I never felt pressured or haggled. Ultimately, I think she knew she offered the best product. I received her direct line and called back several times to confirm my rate it seemed so amazingly low3.125 over 30 years! Once we applied, we were approved very quickly-within 3 days. Cardinal setup a portal for easy uploads, and the documents needed were communicated very well by email. There was always a customer service line to call with questions, but eventually we discussed all our details with Dawn, our loan processor. Several other members of the team communicated with us by phone and email, and were always responsive within hours or by the end of the day. In the end, we closed on time with no hiccups, hassles, or last minute concerns. It was always smooth and almost seemed too easy considering the horrors other people seem to experience purchasing their first home. And above all, we received the lowest rates, no extra origination fees or hidden costs, and a clean closing. Above all, the customer service and responsiveness of the Cardinal team made the whole experience as easy as possible. We are thankful!
Very good experience through out the process.
The closer sends you a customer c
r and good luck ever talking to him again, until you're finally so frustrated you move the loan. The processor had no idea what she was doing and I have this in an email. You call into a call center like Att however Att is better...sadly. The absolute best is they won't be able to close the loan last minute and charge you for that. Zero customer service. If you like babysitting and calling into a cs call center or if you can do the loan yourself then this is the co for you. I've owned several homes and refinanced several times as well and this is by far the absolute worst experience I have ever had. Don't use this company trust the one star ratings they are the correct, wish I would have.
In general I had a fantastic experience with Cardinal Financial. They are committed towards your success throughout the process and they closed within the required timeline.
I purchased a home and closed at the end of last year using Cardinal Financial as my lender. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and speed in which my loan was processed and closed. I closed before my contract closing date, and got a great rate. I would recommend Cardinal Financial to anyone looking to purchase a home or refinance their home.
The level of service, support and personalized attention I received from CF staff was beyond expectations. As complicated the process of obtaining mortgage is, the CF staff made it very easy and worked closely with me to address every possible concern. They were very diligent in their service, and they were ready to ensure that we can address the worst case scenarios, which was amazing since my situation ended up hitting the worst case possible, yet with CF support and readiness, we managed to still close on same day with results that exceeded my expectations.
[redacted], our loan processor, was awful. Rude, irresponsible, nonresponsive, unhelpful - had wrong closing date, had forms filled out wrong, etc... We expressed concerns about the accuracy of documents, and trying to reconcile documents provided by underwriting about things rejected, but did not hear back regarding our questions, and she was so impatient that one time just hung up on us. If our loan processor is supposed to be our point of contact, it would be helpful if she communicated with us. Horrible for someone client facing to be unable to effectively communicate, and telling us she was about to leave work at 3pm on a Friday and complaining how she did not have time for us because she had meetings all day long. We saw the attorney sent them numbers on costs - but they were never updated in any of the estimates UNTIL the final. This resulted in almost 2k increase than what was earlier disclosed. We were personally keeping track of it, so it wasn't an issue, but if we were a typical ignorant consumer - we could have been at jeopardy of being able to close!
[redacted]'s manager, never got back to us when we tried to file a complaint and seek for real solution twice because we were really worried our loan would be totally destroyed by [redacted].
During closing, Cardinal Financial messed up our funding, causing us to wait for almost 3 hours for nothing at the attorney's office. When we tried to call Cardinal Financial, [redacted] answered and hung up on us when she recognized our voice. Our Closer was completely unavailable and never responded to left messages. None of the people we dealt with at Cardinal answered. We had to call the 1800 number - and amazingly - they were all more helpful in this entire process than any of the dedicated folks we were working with, which is a huge red flag for customer service for any company.
Closing Coordinator - [redacted] basically freaked out everyone with his poor communication suggesting that we were closing weeks earlier than we were scheduled. Wasted our time, the lawyers office's time, our agents time, sellers agents time, etc...
[redacted] was a nightmare. We knew the form was filled out wrong, we told her that (before that we told [redacted]), and ultimately it kept getting rejected. We were concerned if we were even going to be able to close!! We had to call the IRS / fill out the online - which we quickly and easily found all the info. Truly incompetent at what she does.
Closer - [redacted] - probably the least objectionable of the lot, but still didn't really provide a lot of guidance on what we needed to do. Told us we were good to closed - only causing 3 hours waiting at closing because Cardinal didn't get all their funding documents straight, and Desiree never answered our call during the closing.
In general - we are happy we got our mortgage. We despise Cardinal's, [redacted]'s in specific, inefficiencies, redundancies, disrespectful tones, lack of communication, confusions, etc.. throughout the process. We would not recommend to friends or family.
Had a great experience with Cardinal, who helped secure a loan for my new home purchase. Yll, my originator, did a great job explaining the process and helped run through many scenarios with me. I got a great rate, and closed on time.
I'm extremely satisfied ,very quick to respond to any of my questions
I've just completed my 2nd mortgage loan (first was a refinance) through Cardinal and have been continuously pleased by not only their low rates and fees offered but how seamless and smooth the process has been. The secure portal for uploading documents is easy to use and the loan officers are knowledgeable, responsive, and great to work with.
I have refinanced with Cardinal twice in last 1 year. I would recommend this company for refinancing your house.
To whom it may concern:
I used your company to buy my first home. Let me tell you about my experience. I started this process on March 11, 2016. My Loan Originator was [redacted] , he told us that you are approved for $189,000, go find your home and we will get this taken care of. So, we did, we found a home for $155,000. Called [redacted] and told him, he said no problems, and got things started. So, far the process was going smoothly. Well that changed very fast. [redacted] had promised that we would close this loan on April 29, 2016 with no worries. [redacted] at first was very easy to get ahold of and easy to talk to. That also changed very fast as well. [redacted] explained the process that he would always be there for me and any questions to call him. That I would also be speaking to another person he worked with the Loan Processor. Well when she, [redacted], came in to the picture thing went downhill fast.
We have had to send the same paperwork to everyone several times. The whole process was the most frustrating process I have ever dealt with. The lack of communication was terrible. The follow up with even worse, it seemed that the only time I would get any type of response back was when I sent very strong worded emails to both [redacted] and [redacted]. Every time though [redacted] was very strong that we were going to close on April 29, he always promised that. He even said he was going to his boss about [redacted] and her lack of care of getting this loan done and taken care of. So over the course of several weeks and tons and tons of emails, and lots of paper work sent numerous times the week of the closing arrives. Also having a customer service rep, [redacted], who I don't think should be doing this anymore, telling me I am lucky that we even got things going due to my credit. I know I don't have perfect credit but that is not what you tell someone.
We are still sending paper work, being asked for things we had already sent, not being kept in the loop. Having to fight to even find out anything going on with my loan, and the status. It is the morning of April 28, and we are still sending paperwork to them, because the underwriter needs it. I understand there are things you need to know but I highly doubt that they need to know where my money comes from, I also don't think that it is truly any of your business as long as I pay my bills. At 4:51pm we get cleared to close on the April 29. What don't we do is close, that is due to no fault of my own, my husbands, or my realtor, as we did our part. IT is all due to the lack of care and concern from your employees. We don't close on our new house until May 3rd because of your company.
As a first time home buyer, this was totally unprofessional on your companies' part. Your staff needs to work better with clients they have. Since close to closing I have not heard a word from [redacted] or [redacted], they need to realize without people need loans they don't have a job. I will not even refer anyone to your company and if I do hear of anyone using your company I will warn them.
Sincerely
[redacted]
