Automax Ocala has always taken care of my immediate and extended family. They are far superior to any service I received at any dealership. Their top-notch people are always ready to assist when needed. I deal with Dan G. for sales and Dan C. for finance and both men treat you like family. Cecil is the Sales Manager and I know that he will put you in the best hands possible and their deals will beat any competitor. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING.

What an absolute pleasure to work with Dan G with AutoMax Ocala. My husband purchased his truck with Dan over two years ago, so when I found this cute little 500 Fiat my husband immediately encouraged me to "go test drive it, if it's that cute, it'll go quickly". I immediately called and was connected to Dan, not knowing that it was he that sold my husband his truck. When I shared Dan's name with my husband, he quickly responded with "I believe he's the man that sold me my truck". Come to learn, it was Dan that sold my husband his truck (he confirmed this when I met with him at the dealership). I immediately drove to Ocala and met with Dan at the front of the building; the Orange Spitfire 500 Fiat was waiting for me to test drive. We got in, drove around the block and I was in love. Dan asked me "are you ready to buy a car?" without hesitation I said "yes" and with that everything swirled into motion. Dan, Cecil, and Jesse were absolutely stellar in making this purchase and my trade-in so quick, painless, and highly effective. I am exceptionally thankful for Dan, his professionalism, and his kind demeanor. He is a consummate professional. I highly recommend Dan G with AutoMax Ocala. And, I am absolutely smitten with my new ride! It's a blast to drive.

dealer adds onto the advertised sales price
truck window stated a sale price of $37500.00
agreed on sales price was $37,000 even
when signing the sales agreement the dealer then adds on the amount of money they say was put into the vehicle for the dealer to put the truck on their lot.
this was $631.87
and I told them that it should have been advertised in the window price instead of adding it on after the sales price was agreed on previously
FALSE ADVERTISING
They told me that all the dealers were doing this and they did not agree with me that it was not to be added on after the sale was completed but argued with me that they actually put $1330 into the truck in order to put it up for sale on their lot and I was getting a deal. (Cash is the name of the finance man who stated this to me)
I have paperwork to support this claim

Desired Outcome

the agreed on sales price was only $37,000 cash they need to refund me the costs they added on along with sales tax incurred so $631.87 plus tax

Our customer service team attempted to contact *** Woods multiple times after reading a review on DealerRater. After speaking with the sales personnel involved, it was determined the information didn't add up. Kristin, our customer service representative privately messaged *** on the platform "DealerRater" after attempting to phone her several times. Kristin wanted to offer *** a resolution to the claims, even though AutoMax don't agree with them entirely. She mentioned that she might turn us into the Revdex.com so AutoMax stopped contacting her.
AutoMax still wishes to seek an amicable resolution, as we did at an earlier date.
In the initial review on DealerRater *** stated that AutoMax had a sale price of $3750 on the vehicle and after negotiating the price down she reached a price of $3700. I'm assuming some zeros were left out somewhere. The Sales person states that the vehicle has a sale price of $37900. The Sales person involved states that *** negotiated the vehicle price down to $37631.87 plus tax, tax, Dealer Prep fees and private tag agency fee. *** also wanted additional work down to the vehicle, which was documented as a "condition to the sale" and it negotiated into the Sale price given.
AutoMax does not agree with *** Woods facts and figures, but would like to seek a resolution as fact as possible.
The offer is this: AutoMax will offer to issue a check in the amount of $670 in exchange to forfeit the conditions to the sale as listed. *** would keep the vehicle in its current condition and all schedule work would be cancelled in exchange for the $670.
Please let us know if this is acceptable to all parties.

the sale price was never $37900. aside from that misinformation and information about contacting me after a review was posted that they did not like, all the information that I provided was correct and factual. I look forward to receiving the check from the dealer.

This was the BEST vehicle buying experience that we have ever had! Dan G was such a big help. Great pricing for wonderful vehicles. No haggleing. Just such a great experience. Would definitely recommend to everyone! Everything from the test drive to the financing was excellent! Great team they have!

For the first time in 15 years I was looking to buy a car. I was dreading the high pressure, bartering and loss of time I had experienced in the past. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quick, efficient and friendly experience I had at AutoMax. Dan Gallagher was friendly and very well informed about the car I test drove, absolutely NO pressure. Joe F could not have made my financing any quicker or easier and achieved the payments I could afford.

Auto Max does sells crap cars. I bought a 2017 Chevy Equinox less than 3 months and I have to put more than $600 for both front Hub assembly's. Spoke to Manager Cash S and all he said was oh well it's over our "complimentary Warranty" not our problem. I tried to work with Cash, he said he would buy parts and I get my own mechanic. I said ok. 2 days no call so I call back to Cash supposed no messages get relayed to him. He now said I'll get parts at my cost you put in. Still he will not do his part. It's been a week now and no parts, he's blocked me from email . Very bad business do not buy from there!!!!

Hello, prior to reading this review, we tried to call 8/21 around 8:30 am. We are not sure if you received the voicemail or not. We checked on the complimentary warranty and it was 3 month or 3,000 miles on the comprehensive and 12 months or 12,000 on the powertrain. The component wasn't covered because the mileage limit expired 2,000 earlier. We spoke to Cash and he said that he offered to find the parts at dealer cost and help out on the labor. I did call back, I receive a message only from a Tony. I called back immediately and I have gotten a response since I left a message that I had called today.also I did speak with Cash a week ago when I brought that in he's been telling me he's going to pay for the parts and get them to me if I paid for the labor which I stated that would be great. That was a week ago and Cash still won't get the parts and blocked me from sending him any emails. I missed the call and returned it right away and Jen said will give message. I understand I had a complimentary warranty but there was a noise which was said it was tires when we first purchase the car since it has gotten louder now I believe the bearings were already damaged because the car had 54,000 miles on it already. I don't believe me having it for 2 months that I did the damage. I would like to reach an arrangement with AutoMax to get the car fixed. I'm just wondering why it's taken over a week to have it done I can't drive the car the way that it is. Cash blocked me from the email I sent yesterday .

My husband and I had a great "no pressure" experience here. My husband has been kicking around buying a truck for over a year. He's been checking online prices for awhile but he didn't do it because we really don't "need" it. We stopped at Nissan next door first and they were unable to come to a good enough price for us. On a whim we drove through Automax and saw the same truck we just looked at. Dan G came right over while we were looking at the truck. It was the same price as next door but one year newer and it was a 4WD which was a bonus to us. After a test drive Dan took us back inside for the mountains of paperwork, not his fault, and getting the final numbers. The whole time Dan was very professional, friendly and got pretty close to the deal we wanted. Frank our finance man and the young woman at the reception area were also very nice and efficient. Overall my husband and I had a very good experience here and we will definitely recommend Automax of Ocala.

Everyone was friendly and helpful, however, no one disclosed the fact that the tires were the wrong ones for that auto and in addition to being the wrong ones, they were threadbare. One of them exploded on 06/04/2019. The auto was a gift for my granddaughter who lives in Miramar, FL. A good samaritan changed the tire and showed us the big hole in it. We drove to Automax for answers and both Frazier and *** denied
any wrongdoing. *** was very loud, rude and discourteous. We left Automax without responding to their behavior. We proceeded to the nearest tire place on 200 and 17, where they acknowledged that Automax did this trick all the time, They looked up the correct tire number for the auto and showed us the ones the auto had, bare and wrong. I wanted my granddaughter to be safe driving back home, so, I had to spend an additional $500 + for the correct tires and the balancing, etc. We had time to wait for this job, so, we crossed the street and went to *** to speak with Aracely, the person who sent me the auto tag and the auto title. She was empathetic and her manager came and talked to us. This woman was harsh and said that the entire affair
could have happened to anyone, and after giving us the unsmiling
and unapologetic runaround told us that they only did the auto tags for Automax and had nothing else to do with them. She advised us to call "Tony" who was the real manager at Automax and speak with him, but he was so busy that he could not talk to us and he left work at 4pm.
It is of concern that we were lied to, tricked, and verbally abused
after spending a good amount of money. It is doubtful that people take time to write and express a complaint. A woman at the tag agency asked us where we had purchased the car. When I said Automax she said that she had encountered the same when she had bought her car there. This car dealership also lied to me when I asked about the title transfer to my granddaughter's name and said it would cost me nothing. Well, not true again. It costs $80 some dollars. My granddaughter went back home the next day because she had to return to her job, but I know that she will be safe in the car with the new tires.

Desired Outcome

The resolution desired is the acknowledgement that the car indeed had the wrong tires and were a safety concern. Plus a refund for the additional money I had to spend to purchase the correct tires.

our vehicles go through an extensive checkout at *** of Ocala, which the vehicle history report should indicate. Ryan was told that the granddaughter hit a curb and that the tire exploded. Ryan stated that even though the grand daughter hit a curb, Olga (the customer) thought the tire should've been covered. We have not received an authorized repair order or anything that stated that the tires were incorrect. It would seem impossible for the tires to be"Threadbare" with only 8,300+ miles on the vehicle. Please read the vehicle history report in its entirety. I feel AutoMax was diligent on it's efforts to service this vehicle from a top of the line repair facility. In addition, the vehicles history report is "above average" Cecil *** would like to defend his self and state that it is his opinion (and the opinion of 4 other employees who were present) that he was nothing less than professional. He regrets that his name has been libeled in efforts to get a "free tire". AutoMax is willing to provide the repair order with the complete check and advise on this vehicle if needed. There was not a problem with the tires on the vehicle until the granddaughter hit a curb.

The response by Automax is inaccurate, very defensive, and not what my granddaughter and I heard and experienced upon presenting the tire incident to the two employees. A "free tire" was not my intention since I had to purchase four of them for the safety of my granddaughter.
A relatively used tire does not blow out and leave a hole the size of a bigger than a pingpong ball upon hitting a curb while entering a gated parking lot at a very slow speed. I could have lied about this incident but I took the high road and told the truth.
This entire experience has been instructional for us. We now know more about the automobile business and the people who work there. It has also been my first experience with the Revdex.com.
Thank you for providing this public outlet. If it helps others to be careful and cautious when buying a car, it has served its purpose.

As per the previous response, Please provide documentation, by an authorized repair/tire facility, and we would be more than willing to work with you. We need to see a bill stating that the tires were in unsafe condition. I've attached (2) documents stating the condition of the tires upon check and advise.

This was my first experience buying a car and Dan was fantastic. He listened to what I was looking for and found it for me! He made this process absolutely seamless and I drove away in a gorgeous vehicle. He did not pressure me into making a purchase or decision and helped me narrow down my options until I finally chose the SUV I left with. I would recommend Dan to anyone looking for a car and would absolutely use him again when purchasing another vehicle!

This is by far one of the worst dealerships I've ever dealt with. They lied about Everything but the worst was they denied doing a hard pull on my credit when in fact they did 3 hard pulls which caused my credit score to drop. I will tell anyone who will listen...steer clear of this place. I'd give a negative star instead of one if it was possible.

Dan G was amazing. At no point were we pressured or felt like any info was being withheld. All info and questions were answered and given in detail. We stopped by on a reference from a co-worker to look around and ended up driving a new car home. Everyone was great and and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and NOT pressured at all.

Thanks to Allen I got the car of my dreams! He is very nice and patient! And made my experience with AutoMax in Ocala amazing!

We were on our way home from vacation in FL when our car completely died on us. We knew repairing it would not be an option and had already decided that the next thing to go meant we would buy a new car. We just didn't expect it to happen during our vacation. We had no idea if we could even buy a car, out of state, outside of regular business hours. Luckily we came across AutoMax and they were able to help us through the process. We showed up 15 minutes before closing and met Mike F. Now, here we are, out of state with no way home, practically begging for them to sell us a car. Had we ended up at another dealership we could have been taken advantage of. But luckily, that didn't happen. We had a few requests, small to medium SUV, 2 years old or newer, and we can spend $x. We thought we'd see maybe one or two cars meeting our criteria, but they had a huge selection, and Mike was more than willing to show us everything, answer our questions, and take us on test drives. He stayed 2 hours past closing time to make sure we got something purchased and we could be on our way. I was very impressed with Mike's knowledge and professionalism and I couldn't believe when he told us he was new to the business! He turned a super stressful experience into a simple and stress-free transaction and we could not be more thankful. I only wish we lived closer so that we can buy our next car here, too. Thanks so much, Mike, for all of your help and expertise! This was the best car buying experience I've ever had!

My experience was great at Automax of Ocala. Mike F was our Salesman and kept in contact with us through the whole process. He was very friendly and professional, answered all of our questions and made the experience hassle free. I will definitely be returning when we are ready for our next vehicle. Allen P, Product Specialist at AutoMax of Ocala, Florida was all that we could have asked as our sales person when looking for a car. We came up all the way south of Orlando to Ocala to see the car we wanted and that Allen had kept us informed about via text and phone. Once at AutoMax of Ocala, Allen was thorough, customer-oriented and most of all, patient. We purchased the car and traded-in our car that we had for several years, and Allen was great in making sure the car we bought was showroom ready and that we were fully advised on how to drive it (since it was keyless). I can't say enough about how Allen treated us as customers and how successfully completed the purchase negotiation was.

I just purchased Rouge from Auto Max in Ocala, Florida and the salespersons were great especially Michael and ;Cash. Michael followed up and even said that he would do what he can to match the paint to my car and touch some paint on the doors. The best service in a very long time - awesome customer service - I felt like I could ask any question and they would competently and satisfactorily assist me. The finance manager was great too, James was also good = over all most of their sales people are very helpful. Great place to go if you want to good product and excellent service. I am very pleased with their honesty and service. I hope that they continue to provide great service even after the purchase has been made. THANJ YOU AUTO MAX!!!!!

I'm pretty satisfied with the car I pick up, the jetta is in great condition and it's taking me anywhere I want. The guys are really good at their job Allen went the extra mile to help me get the car to my house and that speaks highly of him. Hopefully I get my next car from them again.
