class="Apple-tab-span" "white-space: pre;">
We are in receipt of your letter dated August 14, relaying a complaint from *** ***We removed Ms***’s address of *** *** ** *** *** ** *** from our mailing list on February 18, It takes approximately five to six weeks for this process to become fully effective as Valassis pre-prints its mailing labels in advanceAs of April 5, Valassis is no longer producing any mail for this addressThis address will stay deleted for a period of five years and Ms*** will need to call us by February 17, in order for us to renew the suppression for an additional five years
If after the six week period Ms*** still receives our package she should contact her local Post Office and inform them that Valassis is no longer printing a piece for them and therefore the postal carrier should not put a piece in her boxThe Post Office should only deliver to consumers that we have produced an address label for and Valassis is no longer producing one for the address listed aboveWhile Valassis is no longer printing a mail piece for this address, Valassis does not have control over the Post Office and how they deliver the mailMail delivery is solely controlled by the Post OfficeAlso, there are many companies other than Valassis that send out advertising circulars and catalogues for which we have no control over

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I received another RedPlum in the mail today, about 1/weeks after the record they admit to having on file of me requesting the mailings be stopped The company seems very quick to shift blame to the USPS for future deliveries of RedPlum, when in fact all RedPlum mailers that have been placed in my mailbox have had my address on them, even after spending over years trying to get them stopped

Even though I unsibscribed, I continue to receive their flyers in my mailbox on occasion, and most recently my neighbors and I started to have a bag full of flyers thrown on our front lawnThis company is littering our streets now and we don't want itThis is unsolicited and in violation of FCC guidelinesAlso, the thin plastic bag poses a health risk to my toddler who picked it up, emptied the contents and tried to put it on her head before I ran over and took itI cannot allow unsolicited, unwanted objects to be thrown on my propertyI have called the company and asked that they stop and it has not stopped.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I do not accept the response provided by representatives of
Valassis.
I was contacted through e-mail by Valassis to discuss my
request to be removed from their mailing list. I submitted by request on
6/11/2014. Their representative’s communicating with me by e-mail insisted that
my request was submitted on 7/7/2014. This is not true. I did not visit any websites
associated with Valassis on that date. I provided a picture of my browsing
history related to all Valassis websites that shows my request was submitted on
6/11 and I received no response from Valassis.
Either the time that it takes to be removed from the list is
much longer than Valassis indicates on their website, or they have fabricated
the date of my removal request. It was submitted on 6/11/2014 and I was receiving
specifically addressed mailings for much longer than their promised 5-6 weeks.
Secondly, the idea that I can still receive their mailings
because they “do not have control over the Post Office and how they deliver the
mail” is absurd. Why is this company allowed to provide mailings to the post
office that are not specifically addressed? I have made it very clear to
Valassis that under no circumstances do I want to receive any mailings from
them. So now instead of receiving mailings specifically addressed to my
residence, I am going to receive mailings generally addressed to my zip code?
No.
This entire ordeal is beginning to verge on harassment. If a
person requests to be removed from their list, plays their game and waits 5-6
weeks, Valassis needs to ensure that they follow through and make sure that the
person no longer receives their advertisements. Period.
Regards,
[redacted]
