Originally I posted a complaintBut Penn Foster has fully remediated the situation for myself and my family

*** High School was a nationally accredited Alternative School High School diploma and I have gotten some of the best jobs with this High School Diploma but it is not the same as Penn Foster High School and they kept lying about the legitimacy of the contract and what ever fraudulent licensing they had with *** High School was not my fault and I am a sexual assault victim who was harassed severely because of this stupid *** High School Diploma and I am also a Domestic Violence Victim who has suffered severely and economically *** with all these student loans that mess up my credit reportIt's not okay to play games with people's lives like that and I should not have to pay any school loans for the Penn Foster College Healthcare Management Associates DegreeMy life and my child as well as my future is not a joke and I want this matter corrected by Penn Foster as soon as possible

I am a student at PennFoster and was enrolled in autopay with themThey offered a pay off promotion so I originally contacted them on about 8/24/and verbally gave them a new card number to pay off my accountWhen I checked my card balances a couple days later they charged the wrong cardI called PennFoster and they said they would refund the incorrect card and honor the promotion since it would be outside of the promotion window due to their errorIt took about days for the refund(This was after I had to have *** get on the phone with them and explain *** does not choose which of my cards is charged, it is the merchant who sends that info.)On 9/5/I tried verbally giving PennFoster the correct card information again for the pay off, and when checking my accounts online a few days later I saw Pennfoster again charged the wrong accountI called them again and began the day refund processThis time I deleted the old card from the system completely since it had been

Jaime D***, the Admissions Rep for Penn Foster College, suggested I notify the Executive staff of Penn Foster, my reasons for cancelling my enrollment with them Once you ask for info online, reps immediately contact you to sell you on their school Several reps call until you advise them you are working with a repI got her...Jaime D*** After less than hours, I requested to cancel my enrollment She was not helpful and confrontational during the enrollment process This behavior persuaded me to take my money elsewhere When contacting the school/her to cancel, you cannot get a response Won't even answer If you want better service, respect and just helpful customer service intelligence, pick another school as this person obviously portrays what you will get if you attend....trash!

I was unable to submitt my work during momentsI wa unable to order books onlineIn order to complete some work and prepare for test I had to order book from library They decided to send me some boxs later after one assignment I was unable to reach them at timesThey was fairhfully getting money out my account but was not rendering the service neededThey had material on te s t that was not a part of work assignmentIts like setting you up to failI did all I could do to complete but they keep playing around with my books and assignments and website

This online "school" is a borderline scamTheir customer service is absolutely atrociousThey make cancelling your enrollment with them painful, almost as if they don't want you to leave the program so bad, they refuse to reply to your requests to cancelThey are not professional in the way they run the college, and give me the impression that they are only out for your moneyFederal Student Aid doesn't work with them, which is a huge red flagI'm appalled at the way I've been treated as well as some other studentsNo school I've ever heard of performs at the unprofessional level that Penn Foster doesThey need to re-evaluated by the Department of Education, stripped of all accreditation's and investigated

I signed up for a hvac program that I finished last month and paid off a total of $paid it in full on the 3rd of November so I called them on the 3rd they told me I did it by check so it takes days to clear with bank or we can do over the phone and it will take weeks to clear I said ok can u void it and they did so I paid $because they said if I paid that I would save $so it was still saying I owed them that so he said don't worry about it it will go away by tomorrow and it did and that he would call me back in morning never did so I called on Monday the 20th and they couldn't explain to me when they would ship out my graduation set out the guy put me on hold talking to his supervisor that it should of been sent he dont know why it hasnt and that he would call me in morning and never called me back the next day like he saidI don't understand I completed the program and gave the money that was suppose to be gave but they can't give me the information on grad

I decided, in early 2015, to take part in the Penn Foster Vet Tech program online; I sent my transcripts from my institution by agreeing to allow Penn Foster to request themDue to the dissatisfactory of the program by being told information that these credits WILL "definitely transfer" to any other institution, I quickly found out that this was a lie upon inquiryWhen I attempted to file the 30-day cancellation paperwork I was still made to pay the full amount of $976.00+ in which I paid and cancelled the programNow, I am being sent a collection letter from a company by the name of USCB and upon the phone call with one of their representatives today, January 2017, it was agreed that this sounds like a fraudulent transaction in which someone is using my personal information to access the Bachelor's in Business programI have written proof from *** Community College, *** Technical College and my final college, *** University showing that I have been attending O

I reached out to Penn Foster College to officially withdraw after completing nearly semesters towards an online Bachelor’s Degree in Business ManagementThe reason why I completed so many semesters so quickly was that I had transferred a number of credits from previously attended school and I worked non-stop on completing my degree in a timely manner
My reason for withdrawing was that I have other student loans currently out and I needed to defer payment on them while attending Penn Foster and paying them monthlyI could not afford bothAfter submitting all of the necessary paperwork to the studentloans.gov agency, I was told that my deferment would not be granted because Penn Foster is not an accredited learning institution and they do not recognize them as a part of the Higher Learning Commission
Upon learning that the department of education does not recognize them as a regionally accredited college, I learned that my current employer would not eitherThe reason for goin

I signed up for information, as far as I know, but I never attended any classes nor did I ever receive any course materialsI never even made the initial deposit to start classes - yet you want to bill me 2k? FOR WHAT? For the numerous e-mails you sent me reminding me to pay the deposit? NoYou can't bill me for services never received

I informed Peen Foster that I was unable to continue this courseAt the time my wife was battling stage 3C Colon CancerThey failed to provide me with the necessary steps to properly cancel the contract, which is part of their policyThey later insisted I was past the deadlineNow they are continuing their pursue and has a negative impact on my credit

Before I agreed to this program I confirmed with the representative at Penn foster that the certificate program they were offering was accepted in Wisconsin as a valid certificateTo my findings after purchasing I talked to management in a few local gyms and all facilities stated that it was not valid and that I would have to seek extra educational courses if I wanted to train at their facilitiesHence the program I purchased was a cpt (certified personal training course)I was lied to and when I confronted the company with my complaints they persisted I pay the remainder of the courseIt now has been affecting my credit for I don't know how many years

My daughter did home school thru Penn FosterHer dad signed her up for the school I had ZERO to do with the decisionI am divorce and have been for several years before my daughter went to live with her dadI have explained this on several occasions over the last year to Penn FosterThey have been sending his bill to my house I have sent the mail back on three occasions and I have called them twice and told them he does not lived at this addressHe has not lived here in over twenty yearsNow they have given my address to *** PO Box ** Archbald PA *** and they have sent me a bill for himI consider this harnessmentI want no further contact from them by phone, cell phone, email ,letter, or telegram, and my name not to listed for this bill in any shape or form

Buyer BewareThey have been sued for telling people their credits can be accepted to universities when they can't even transfer to a community collegeThey were recently sued for 73Kdue to thatThe course I took included Dreamweaver CC and the book they supplied was for dreamweaver It was all out of dateIt was a complete joke, no instructors would ever answer my questionsA joke!

I am so disappointed in Penn Foster , I regret considerably for enrolling at this school
I started out this program with a goal of finishingBut I soon realized I don't have time for online school right now and that eventually going to real classes would be a better approach for meThis school is so slow in sending out your materials , they told me there was usually a 6-week waiting period between classes for my shipments to arrive..again, a complete waste of my time
and the the big reason is THEY ARE NOT ACCREDITED IN MY COUNTRY ( *** )
I contact them to cancelled my enrollment , they cancel my account but after days
Penn foster sent me a letter saying I owe $ and must pay
Penn Foster never sent me anything to start my course but they want my money. That is a scam in my opinion

Penn Foster lies to get moneyI called to enroll in the High School with the Professional Childcare pathwayBefore enrolling I asked upfront if they gave certificate for the childcare and I was told yesWhen I completed the program and paid it off in full I only received a High School Diploma and no certificate so I called and was told I didn’t get one so I explained that I asked in advance before enrolling because if I wasn’t issued a certificate I was not doing the program he transferred me to someone else who then told me I did and he would look into itStill no certificate so I emailed and I have a email from them stating I do get one and they would mail it out well I never got it so I emailed like more times with a response saying my program didn’t come with one explained situation to that person with no replyFinally called today and lady said she would look into it they emailed saying no sorry I was misinformed and I don’t get s certificateMissed informed by different

I was double charged for my monthly payment I tried to make my payment online through their website, like I have done since day one Their system told me the charge was declined, but I knew the money were there in my account So I tried using ***, and the payment went through Today I find out that I was actually charged both times So their system lied to me when it said the charge was declined I contacted them, but all they wanted to do is argue with me instead of fixing the problem and issuing me a credit for the extra charge I would fire one of my employees if they argued with a client the way I was done today

I contacted the school to let them know that I had surgery and that my recovery process had hindered me completing the course and that I would not be continuingI have received robot calls 8AM in the morning from the school, derogatory letters from the school finance department I emailed them and gave them the approximate date that I cancelled and who I spoke with I received a Derogatory letter from a gentleman name MrB*** demanding that I pay $in Jan I emailed him and stated I cancelled and that I dont owe $Then I got a Letter from Mark S*** in Feb and Chris E*** in March I stated that I didn't owe for what I didn't finishMy last payment was in July and I stated then I was not continuing Then they told me I owe $cancellation fee?
I told them I am on a fixed income and if I do owe that it would be paid in paymentsThis was in February I just today received a derogatory letter from the school again from Chris E*** demandi

I believed it was June/July that I purchased the dressing making course from Penn Foster I took three modules and decided it was not for me and asked to cancel class and requested a refund for remainder of course I was advised the only way I could get a refund was it would go back onto card I used Due to financial difficulty, I filed for bankruptcy which included the credit card I don't know the credit card or the senders address and was advised that
without a letter stating that account as closed they could do nothing for me I asked if I could have the remainder of the course I was advised the case was closed and I could not I lived in South Jersey so it is not convenient to travel to Scranton to file a civil case they wait for a court date and return which would be a financial hardship for me

I have taken a medical transcription course late last year & was never told that I would never be able to find a jobSo after doing some research on my own, & found out it would be almost impossible to find a job, I decided that I had had a fairly good experience with Penn Foster & would take another courseThis time, Medical Coding & BillingI have been struggling with the course & have tried to reach out to the instructors, will no responseI've even called the school & that have told me that the instructors only work Monday-Friday 9-They do not make calls on the weekendsI am a mom, wife & I have a jobI do not have time during the week to do school work or have conversations with instructorsI was told that an instructor could email me on the weekendHow am I suppose to explain to an instructor via email that I having a difficult time with the course & I don't understand it & how are they suppose to help me via email? They are just try
