Review: THIS COMPANY CALLED REPEATEDLY AFTER ADVISING THEM I WAS NOT INTERESTED IN THEIR SERVICES. AFTER SO MANY TIMES AND BEING TOLD TO TRY THEIR SERVICES FOR FREE, THEY CAME AND PERFORMED THEIR SERVICE AND CHARGED ME AFTER I WAS TOLD I WOULDN'T BE CHARGED. AFTER CONTACTING THEM THEY REFUSED TO REMOVE THE CHARGES. I AM COMPLETELY FRUSTRATED AS I STRONGLY BELIEVE THEIR PRACTICES ARE FALSE ADVERTISING.

Review: I had signed up for yard service late last spring to treat my yard through the year. The service was adequate at best but reasonable. I did not realize that this was continous service. This continous service is not discussed on the few occasions that Weedman is trying to sell you additional services and call you. As most of our communications were via either email sending an invoice or they would leave the bill someone on my front door or step and I would ususally find it blown into the yard, this continuous service is definitely a hidden side effect of engaging in business with this company.
In early February of this year, I received an invoice for work they performed which I did not approve, request or even know was going to be performed. Aside from the yellow flag with their advertising, I would not have know they even were at my house. There was no sign of any work done nor could I see any treatment applied to my yard. The owner talked to the technician who indicates he used the correct proportions of something on my yard. So the owner expects that I will pay for this service. I am not even sure they did anything to my yard except put the sign in it. I tried to call and discuss with someone at the company as soon as I received the invoice. I wasn't impressed with last years service as my yard doesn't look any better even though I paid for additional services through Weedman. I definitely was not aware of the continuous service and was not going to continue with Weedman. And lastly, and probably the point that makes me angry at the whole situation is that I would not have agreed to any kind of treatment in February on my lawn! When I attempted to talk to the technician, he was trying to explain the technical necessity of treating your lawn in February. I am 44 years old and I have owned a home for almost 25 of those years. I have never treated my lawn in February!
As I did not plan on conyinuing this service, I generally ignored their emails as I assumed they were sales pitches for service this year.Desired Settlement: I would like to terminate service going forward and eliminate the balance due for service performed in February.

DC & Eastern Pennsylvania in regards to your complaint #[redacted]

I have tried to log into the system to reject this response. There
are several inaccuracies in the businesses response. First, I was not
a customer last February so while it may have been Weedmans practice
there was no notice to me that the treatment was scheduled for
February and I would have no frame of reference.
Secondly, I absolutely returned the owners phone call and talked to
her and voiced the same complaints that I included in my email.
Thirdly, I did not request a technician (salesman) to come out to my
house as I did not see evidence of the treatment and their visit was
not going to change that. Although it may have given the company a
visual of exactly how poor their quality of work really has been.
I have perfect credit. This incident is messing with that as the
owner has forwarded the bill to a credit agency. I have been actively
following and responding to these inqueries as I feel that strongly
about the lack of Weedman customer service. I have sent the same
information to the credit agency about the history of the lack of
service and subsequent request for payment.
I refuse to allow this business to take advantage of me and fall on
their continual service. I have yet to receive the documentation
where I signed for numerous years. I tried to work through this with
the owner.

Review: I payed about a $1,000 to Weedman over a year period to fertilize, seed and aerate my lawn. They did a very poor job of doing so causing my lawn to look much worse than others in my neighborhood who did nothing to their lawn except mow last Summer. In my opinion, they way over fertizied in several spots causing many large bare spots.
When they aerated and seeded, it was right after a rain in the fall and we were not able to get the leaves up before they did so. Consequently hardly any of the seed took so all of the bald spots created in Fall were not covered with new grass in the Spring.
I asked them repetedly to come out and address the issues. They came out, but basically told me it was my issue, that I had grubbs and that it could take up to three years to have a nice looking lawn.Desired Settlement: I asked to have them adjust my bill of $200 to zero as I hired another group to repair the lawn in the spring and they sent me to collection. I now have collections calling my phone during business hours...I have disputed the claim and hope it ends.

Response:
We are
sorry [redacted] was not happy with our service. We try to explain up
front and include the attached document to all new customers.
We are
dealing with a living organism that is affected as much by our services as it
is by Mother Nature and the customer's maintenance habits.
The couple
of appointments that [redacted] asked for in person, he did not keep.
The first
year of service is usually a building time period. We need to come in and
get the weeds under control while getting the grass fed regularly. In
some cases, it's not pretty. Areas where the weeds occupy need to be
replaced with grass. This does not happen overnight. Our customers
are told that a real improvement in their lawn could take 3-5-8 years.
[redacted] only used our services for 5 months-not even completing a full
program. The services ordered and completed in 2013 were
$729.25. As of today, we have received payments totaling $525.
Most
grasses will go dormant if not watered during the hottest months in June, July
and August. Their yard has mature
trees. When the trees are in full bloom
they will suck up food and moisture out of the soil during the summer months. In addition, we will see the grass thin out
in areas where the grass is not getting at least 4 hours of sunlight.
During a
summer visit, it was pointed out to the Mrs. that a section of the backyard was
green because it was receiving water during activities with their child.
We also
observed that the lawn greened up in the fall after the temperature dropped and
we got rain.
At the
beginning of 2014, we had snow coverage during the first 3 months of the
year. Once the temperature warmed up, he
would have seen the benefits of the aeration and over-seeding done in the
fall. Any areas that did not take; we
would have come back and resolved those issues as part of the program.
During the
process of aeration and over-seeding, we move the leaves around to get the seed
into the ground but not clear the leaves.
If [redacted] felt that after clearing the leaves in the fall that some
areas might have needed more attention, we would have returned and addressed it
then.
As for
Grubs, we did advise.
It is
unfortunate that [redacted] did not allow us to work through the process with
him. Nothing that we do is instant and
if there is a lack of trust to go along with the advice being provided, then it
does not make sense to continue the relationship.
It is like
getting mad at you pediatrician and blaming their office that your child is
getting sick while no one else on the block is.
It is our
goal to help our customers attain and maintain a healthy green lawn through
service and education.
Review: This company was doing service to us for almost a year with zero result. Since my grass was no growing after a year and around $600 later I canceled the services with a rep at their office ([redacted]) and the manager and/or owner at beginning of October 2012. The company despite of my cancelation came and trespassed my property and preforms unauthorized services on October 25 and Nov 03, 2012. I had been requesting the company a proof of service and they keep sending me an invoice. This company not only is charging me a fee that I did not authorized, but also that they do not have proof other than a bill that the service was completed in my property.
On April 2013 I had to pay again $600 to another company to get the grass in my property and they advise me that in part of the property the grass will not grow, something that this company knew (since they are professional) and the failed to inform us to get our business.Desired Settlement: I could ask for the full refund of everything that I paid, because I had to paid another company to do the job that they failed to do. However, I just want them to stop billing me for the unauthorized service that they said (with no proof) that they completed in my property and bring my account to zero balance. Also, I would like a writing statement that my account is in zero balance.

Review: I hired this business to remove posion ivy from my garden. I was told that they will remove and full inspect in 1 hour duration.
Someone came out and remove visible poison ivy and told me that they removed all. A month later, I found poison ivy in my back yard. It was same location where it alway grow.
I called them to correct the issue. They simply telling that they do not service weed removal any more and would not do anything.
I believe that they simple cut visible portion and did not propertly remove weed. I told them it is corrective action which I fully paid and was promised that it will be properly removed.
They simply refused my request. This is bad business and against what they advertising "Promise Kept".Desired Settlement: Remove Weed as they promised or give me full refund.
