Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:I contacted Vivint in mid November requesting cancellation of my month-to-month service as I was selling my home They told be I had to submit my request in writing, which I did on Nov (email attachedI received an auto response from my 11/email, so I know they received it (email attached) I subsequently sold the house, which meant I no longer had access to the house or the equipment On Nov and continuing 12/1, 12/2, I received numerous texts, calls and emails from Vivint reporting tampering and panic alarms on my security system I contacted Vivint repeatedly to request that my service be disabled and they were very unhelpful and unsympathetic I was distressed to be told to ignore the texts as I had no idea if someone was inside the home in need of help I explained I wanted to cease receiving contact concerning the system I was told that the system would be put in some type of hold status, but the contact continued Eventually I blocked the calls and texts On Dec 2, I finally found someone who would cancel the service (email with Tori Hughes), but not until I explained in very cranky terms that I would not hang up until I found resolution Tori told me there was no record of my Nov email and that was why the contact continued I provided her the 11/email and she finally got the service cancelled I contend that Vivint needs to change their cancellation policy to reflect changed circumstances such as home ownership It seems very problematic for a contract holder to be in control over equipment located in a home that they do not own It made me very uncomfortable to receive calls about a service located in a home that I did not have access to.Throughout the process, I felt harassed and ignored Vivint repeatedly tried to coerce me to transfer the account to the new owner I was on a month to month contract and had been paying for their services for or more years I do not think they behaved well nor did they listen to my needs

Sincerely,
*** ***I reject the business response because I have been working on this matter for over days and they are just now responding and willing to take this matter seriousThis has cost me my grant money for my home that I have been in the process of purchasing and now unsure if I will even be able to purse my home buying process at this time after all of the out of pocket expenses that it has cost me in the process of my home buyingAlso in the response to the business they said that they had tried to contact me regarding this matter and I have not received a phone call, voice message, or email in regards to them trying to contact meWith this being a fraud case, now I have to be skeptical and spend out more money for my social security number to be monitored being that I never gave vivint nor the collection agency my informationAlong with this I have a lawyer on my case to pursue further action for this matter for all that this has cost meThe collection agency was rude to me on the phone and refused to hear me out with my explanation as well as contacting vivint via phone to find out what my options were in getting this removed off of my credit and in speaking to both the collection agency (Perfection Collections) and vivint even with the contract agreement documentation I kept getting the run aroundThey kept pointing the finger at one another which got me no whereso for all this trouble, mental anguish, Defamation of character, and losses due to my house I am forced to purse further action in this matter

I recently submitted Complaint #*** regarding Vivint Home Security. I asked the Revdex.com to intervene on my behalf
in getting a refund the company owed me after they removed their security system from my business. Since I filed the complaint, I received a full refund from Vivint. Please update my complaint with this information, but I’d like the complaint as listed to stand about the poor service and sloppy workmanship.Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: It is not acceptable to expect to continue a contract that has not been properly upheld from the business side.

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I have not yet received a refund (as of 2pm ET on 5/26), nor have my concerns about the lack of a system of record and continued monthly billing when a pay-out is being paid monthly been resolvedAt this point, my complaint against Vivint is not resolved.

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:Payments made from and after March total $1211.88, not the $offered by the businessFurther, Mr*** was relying on the representations made by the sales executive, that the system could be made compliant with the insurance requirements for a jewelry storeBased on that representation, Mr*** effected an early termination of his existing alarm system and incurred a fee in doing soOnce the system was installed and found non compliant, the sales representative continued to assert that the system could be made to work appropriatelyFinally, Mr*** had to replace the system to keep his business properly safeguarded and insurable The company made representations and continued to draft payments for a system they knew did not workTherefore, the company should refund all the payments withdrawn by them, reimburse the early termination fee incurred by ** *** based on misrepresentations of the company's sales executive, and cover the cost of the replacement system for the time the company's product was contracted for
Sincerely

I am rejecting this response because:I have tried to contact the customer service rep several times with no response The call leave a message and claim to want to resolve my issue, but when I call them back, they mever answer and domt return my calls Someone was sent out to work on my system, because they yold me that is the only thi g they could do for me, keep sending people out to work on it It still is not completely fixed I was told that they have this audio recording of me agreeing to all of these terms, and I asked to be able to listen to it They told me that they couldnt send it to me, but they could call me back sometime and let me listen to it That was over a week ago I have called in to ask when that is going to happen and was told they would call me I asked for a bill adjustment several times, because of faulty service, and was repeatedly told no Does this response mean they are willing to give me a credit but continue my contract? Am I ever going to be able to listen to this audio of what I agreed to?

Below is one of the options they responded with:(3) Mrs*** may pay off the remaining balance of her Agreement, currently $***, however, in order to assist Mrs***, Vivint will reduce her payoff amount by 55%, making the payoff amount $***.I will pay the $*** for them to close my account completely and break ties with the companyPlease tell me what the next step is so o can continue the process and they not ruin my credit in any way.

I am rejecting this response because: It is still fraud to collect money for a service you know you are providingIt is also a lie that we did not cancel our service years agoWe have tried to contact Vivint in the past with no resultsI can not accept a company hiding behind a loophole to commit fraudThey knew we wanted out contract canceled, we cancelled our contract more than once Fraud and theft are never acceptable business practices

I am rejecting this response because: The Vivint Sales representative misrepresented the following:1.) failed to disclose material terms with respect to cancellation.2.) failed to disclose material costs payable by me, e.g., the Vivint salesman asserted that the equipment is "FREE" with $installation fee,and that the agreed-upon (auto-renewing) contract is for a term of monitoring services of that equipment, now Vivint is stating I owe for the cost of said equipment.3.) this is illegalIt is not the real estate companies responsibility to make their client take over my contract, therefore you should not be expecting them to do anything about this. In good faith to your customer, *** ***, you should allow her to cancel without paying anything.
Sincerely,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meHowever, I would like it noted that the response makes it sound as if the past due amount is money from prior to June 2016, it is in fact money that Vivint continued to charge after the date they are saying I cancelled I never tried to get money back from the time the new homeowner took over, I paid until June

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meThe company has removed the system, reinstalled the A/C controls, and refunded the installation costs, but has NOT reinstalled the doorbell that was 'thrown out' with the installation materials - this will cost me some dollars to replace due to their negligence
Again, this is an 'A' for concept, but an 'F' for design and execution.Sincerely, *** ***

I am rejecting this response because: I the tech and the person replying to this complaint are liars! The tech never stayed with me for an hour waiting for my internet to upgradeThe tech tried the internet once I got off the phone with AT&T and said that he was going to lunch and would be back because AT&T indicated that it should take between 30mins to hours to reflect changeThis was so unprofessional and they know it! And about the text massage that was never sent please provided me with the number and a copy of the text message that was allegedly sent to my phone number of ###-###-#### at 5am in the morning which again is very unprofessional when he could have called and left an voicemail indicating that he was unable to comeThis tech never wanted to come out to my house in the first place and made many excusesWhen I had my panel serviced I had no problem with that tech he communicated with me like the professional he wasI want half off of the cameras that I wanted installed and I want them done without any excuses and with an professional tech
