On 08/29/2013, Mrs. [redacted] purchased the Grove Park 3 piece sectional. The merchandise was delivered to Mrs. ***’s residence on 09/13/2013.After receiving Mrs. ***’s complaint I have verified that parts were ordered for Mrs. ***, and were expected to be delivered directly to her residence... within 8-12 weeks. At this time Value City Furniture are unable to order parts for the Grove Park sectional due to the item being discontinued. What we are able to offer Mrs. [redacted] is an in-store credit $1,554.23. Mrs. [redacted] can use the in-store credit towards a new sectional we have in stock. Since the location is closed that Mrs. [redacted] made her original purchase she may visit our Bear, Delaware location or shop online and make her purchase over the phone with our customer care team. Once a reselection is made we will deliver the merchandise to Mrs. ***’s residence and take the merchandise she currently have in her home. On 3/12/16, Mr. [redacted] purchased the Beckett Pine chest, nightstand, and king bed. The General Manager has been contacted and the furniture Mr. [redacted] initially purchased is now available and can be delivered as soon as 3/6/16. As compensation for Mr. [redacted] ’s inconvenience, the General... Manager is extending free delivery of the furniture. Mr. [redacted] has been contacted via telephone to discuss how he would like to proceed from this point.I apologize for any inconvenience Mr. [redacted] may have experienced. On 02/05/2013, Ms [redacted] purchased the Serenity mattress/boxspring and financed her purchase with a line of credit through [redacted] Bank Unfortunately, the Serenity set was discontinued before Ms [redacted] received her delivery Store Personnel advised Ms [redacted] that she would need to choose replacement merchandise Ms [redacted] refused replacement merchandise and requested a cancellation of her order on 04/10/ At that time, Ms [redacted] received a full refund in the form of a refund check to use at her discretion or apply to her line of credit with [redacted] Bank.According to Ms [redacted] ’s invoice # [redacted] , the amount of $was financed with deferred interest for months If the charged amount was not paid off after the promotion period of months, interest would be assessed Unfortunately, Value City will not be responsible for any terms and conditions set forth by [redacted] BankI apologize for any inconvenience Ms [redacted] may have experienced If Ms [redacted] has any further questions or concerns she may contact me direct

I am following up on complaint ID [redacted] I am respond to provide you with what happened after the initial response from Karema H***She requested that I contact the store for an exchangeI called the store two times, each time I was immediately told that there could be no exchangeI then told the individual on the phone at the Nile location that Karma H [redacted] had instructed me to do soTheir response to me was to send an email, I have attached that email hereI have not heard a response from the storeI gave them the benefit of waiting a few days for a response, that is why the Revdex.com complaint expiredIn hindsight, I should have rejected the response immediately after the store would not take my request over the phone.Thank you for the help on this issueBest,

Good Morning,Please consider reopening this complaint I did not see the first email or I would have responded earlier VCF's response is untrue They have not refunded my rug as of yet because they are making me sign a consent agreement to do so Our rug has also NOT been shampooed The did agree to get the 'non-toxic' substance tested I will attach the MSDS sheet I'm sure after reading you would not feel comfortable having this substance leaking in your home for months.Thank you, [redacted]
