our entire membership. Thank you for speaking with [redacted], of our staff, who clarified that our business policy, to the extent allowed by law, prohibits USAA Bank (Bank) and its affiliates from doing business with a member who has caused the Bank to suffer a financial loss due to a bankruptcy. This restriction is in place for seven years from the bankruptcy filing date. However, as Mr. [redacted] advised, you are eligible for non-Bank products and services, including property and casualty insurance. I understand that you declined to quote any property and casualty insurance products when you spoke with Mr. [redacted] on January 7, 2016. Should you wish to obtain information regarding non-Bank products or services, please contact us at [redacted]. We appreciate you allowing us to review your concerns and to clarify our position. Mr. [redacted] Complaint ID #: [redacted]
Dear Mr. [redacted]:
I am responding to your submission regarding establishing a deposit account with the USAA Federal Savings Bank (FSB) and your automobile insurance policy with USAA.
We responded to your complaint on June 11,...
2013, and on October 31, 2014, and explained that you will be eligible to apply for new products and services with the FSB on March 12, 2017, seven years after the date of the bankruptcy filing.
As [redacted], of our staff, explained, the outstanding insurance balance stems from a previously cancelled policy. He also advised that this balance must be paid in full before a new automobile insurance policy can be issued.
Mr. [redacted], if the outstanding insurance balance is not paid in full, it will forfeit your ability to establish new products with the FSB when your bankruptcy expires. Consequently, both criteria must be satisfied before you can obtain new products and services with USAA. While we realize this is not the outcome you were expecting, we appreciate the opportunity to clarify our position.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

This is an attempt to collect a consumer debt. Any information obtained may be used for that purpose.

I am rejecting this response because:It has now been four weeks since the accident and USAA seems to be doing nothing to resolve the situation. It has been almost two weeks since my follow-up claim after I discovered additional damage while the car was in USAA possession. Nothing has been done with that claim either. Your response to me here is yet another attempt to stall this process. I have been driving a rental car for four weeks and am no closer to a resolution that I was at the time of the accident. This is unacceptable. We need to come to an agreement on this claim and move on.
