The gym has been under construction for approx one year (probably longer) The gym needed variances from the town b/c of parking After receiving variances they delayed construction The phone number for the gym was either a non working number or one with no service After trying to call the gym to cancel my membership and receiving no contact, I called *** to get a refund of my deposit *** provided me with the credit I placed my deposit of $on 3/*/when they had sign ups for the gym that was going to open soon I contacted *** in June to get a refund I received a phone call from a collection company on July **, for the $

On June*, I joined UFC New City with a credit card payment of $ It is now October *** and the gym has still not opened I tried to call the gym to see if I could get my money back and cannot connect to the phone number listed I tried calling the corporate offices but they only allow you to select between two choices - owning your own franchise or connecting to a gym near you I want my $refunded immediately

I engaged in a presale of a membership to this gym on 3/**/for $ This gym was supposed to open around the June timeframe and has not opened as of this complaint I have tried several times to recoup the dues paid, but there is zero communication from my correspondences (more than 3) There has been no communication from said business despite several attempts

I signed up for the UFC gym in New City back in March of I was told that the gym would be open in April, or May at the latestI had to pay my first and last months membership upfront, as well as, a one time sign up feeIt is now October and the gym still has not openedI did not get any responses from my emails for months and when I finally did they promised it would open soon but it still has notI reached out for a resolution to this problem and have received no response

stating that he had cancelled his membership and was told that he would only have one payment left for the following month, then his account with us would endHe paid the following month, but was never cancelled in the system by the previous managerMy current manager located his cancellation form and immediately cancelled his membership following up with a confirmation e-mail to *** requested a refund for the payment he had made, so my GM contacted our Regional Manager, Alex E***, regarding the situation*** was in a 12-Month EFT agreement stating that the contract was for months and a cancellation fee would apply if he chose to cancel before the months were upWith a 12-Month EFT agreement, the contract states that there is a $cancellation charge if the member cancels BEFORE months into the agreement plus one more monthA $cancellation charge applies if it has been more than months plus one more month*** signed his agreement on 06/20/and cancelled on 10/22/2015, which would only be months and daysAfter explaining this to Alex E***, his response was this, "Let him know that with all our memberships that are months, there is a $cancellation fee for cancelling earlySo even with the October payment, he technically owes moreHowever, if he is willing to come back, we can reinstate him and he can continue his membership at just $** per month vsthe $** he was paying." My GM tried calling *** that day, but was not able to reach himShe then forwarded the Regional Manager's response to the rest of the staff members so that they could relay the message to *** if he called while she was out. I've contacted UFC Gym headquarters to obtain cancellation documents but they continue to ignore my phone callsI also continue to contact the private owner of the former UFC Gym San Carlos (San Diego) location to obtain records with no success.I do not have any records of cancellation and my
attempts to obtain them have been unsuccessful

I signed up for a membership to the UFC gym in April and was informed the anticipated opening was slated for MayI liked the presentation so much that I convinced other individuals to sign up as wellIt is now August and construction has yet to begin on the propertyI have tried to contact the business and no one answers the phone and I am unable to leave a messageThe phone number listed on the website is different than the number on the storefrontThe number on the storefront is ###-###-#### and I am unable to leave a message The number online ###-###-#### is always busyI called the corporate office and they provided me with the owner Bill S*** email address @ *** I have yet to hear from himI cannot believe that in there are not adequate means to communicate with them

I enrolled at UFC Gym in New City, NY on March *** of I paid for the first and last month as part of a year long contractI paid them a total of 138.00, which was withdrawn from my bank accountI have a statement that shows the payment
They were supposed to open in June of On June *** - I received and e-mail that said they were still working on parking variances and would keep us updated
On July ***, I received an e-mail that the variance was approved, but they had a day waiting period for appeal
That was the last update I received
I stopped by the site repeatedly after work, there was never anyone there, no construction, the space inside remained empty
I tried contacting the main UFC Gym website, but three attempts were ignored
I called the number on the card that was given to me by the guy who signed me up - Anthony D*** - no answer, no response
I finally found and contacted the same guy on Facebook, and after several attempts he responded

I am the new owner of the UFC Gym in ShrewsburyI have cancelled the membership agreement and we are working to prevent any complaints from occurring in the future

To whom it may concern, I was recently informed about a complaint regarding the heat in the gymWe had a brief issues regarding the heat in the gym due to broken pipes, and very cold week throughout the east coast, however the issue has been dealt with as well as all members were informed
about the heat*** *** was informed several times through email about the broken pipesHe is also on a month to month membership which gives him the freedom to cancel his membership at any time if he wishes to no longer attend. This company sold us travel insurance and stated we would be 100% coveredThey are now refusing to reimburse part of our expenses
The company sent us a travel insurance brochure stating that 100% of any non-refundable expenses would be coveredWe paid a total of 734.02, with $being the insurance feeAccordingly, our non-refundable expenses were $We had to cancel our trip due to Hurricane Michael and we were only reimbursed $We have attempted to email and call the company to resolve this issue, but we have been told they will not honor the contract we were provided which requires a reimbursement of 100% of all non-refundable expenses, namely We are seeking reimbursement of the remaining

I met with the members who are complaining and refunds have been issued. The conflict is now resolved and closed out. Both parties are satisfied with the outcome and money has been paid back to the members

I went to use the gym on a free pass and have not been back since. I asked for a refund due to me not having time to go to the gym. They are telling me I cannot get a refund cause I didnt cancel my membership before the next payment. I now have to go through my bank to try to dispute these charges. This gym is ripoff! If you dont use your membership, why even pay for it. I will never go this is gym ever again! Please make sure you're ready for the bs when dealing with this gym. Terrible!

Since this has been filled out, we have spoken via phone call and cleared up the misunderstanding that [redacted] had about the cancellation policy. She understands now that February was her last payment and that she didn't get emails like she had in the past because she opted out of getting emails...

Hello-It is extremely unfortunate that this issue is being resolved through a third party company that has nothing to do with UFC GYM. It could have easily been handled with me, the owner. I have print screens that show that payments were refunded and that there was a returned item fee attached to her account. I have to pay this fee because it is with the collecting company. Typically this is a fee that is charged to my company and we recoup the fee from the member. Obviously, this will not occur as she has cancelled.  I have also supplied a print screen that show that [redacted] had opted out of emails from us, thus limiting communication. The final print screen shows that [redacted] was also refunded the original payment through her American Express. I do have the documents that American Express needs to reverse the refund, which include a signed membership agreement, but rather than prolong this issue, I have allowed the refund from American Express. When this is all said and done, I have lost $25 (returned item fee) to have [redacted] as a member for three weeks. Buyers remorse is not a reason to involve the Revdex.com and again, this could have been handled faster and easier if she had contacted me.Thank you,Noelle K[redacted]
