Review: I ordered a bench and small table from Tidewater Workshop on 03/06/2013 though an internet purchase. Our credit card was billed and payment made on 03/11/2013. on 03/06/2013 I called Tidewater Workshop to request delivery information. On 03/13/2013 [redacted] from Tidewater workshop returned my call to say that delivery would be the first week in April of 2013. No Product arrived. Again I called Tidewater workshop and left a message requesting delivery information (first week of May). [redacted] returned my call to say that our order would ship either Thursday May 16 or Friday May 17, 2013. At my request she agreed to contact me via e-mail (address provided) with a [redacted]. Once again no e-mail was received and no product shipped or received. On 06/03/2013 I called and left a message requesting a call back regarding shipment information on our order. On 06/16/2013 [redacted] called back to say that product shipment was rescheduled for Thursday June 6 or Friday June 7, 2013. Still no confirmation e-mail and no product has arrived. I have contacted our credit card company. They can not help me as the last date to file a dispute with them on this transaction was May 31, 2013. I am seeking your assistance in this matter. Review: I ordered a 4-foot bench TWO YEARS AGO. They say they d**'t charge your card until the bench is shipped, but it was charged promptly and the bench never appeared. Every time I call the company, the recepti**ist says it will be shipped tomorrow or next week. I find a hundred other people had the same problem. How can this company still be advertising delivery in 6 weeks, taking people's unsuspecting people's m**ey and never delivering? That's stealing and then lying. Can no **e do anything about this company to protect all those who are still ordering ** the web? To be fair, I did order from them twice maybe 10 years ago, and they did deliver that time, but without the promised free gifts. **Desired Settlement: I want the bench delivered. If I ask for a refund, I expect they'll promise to give my money back but they won't issue the refund. If I ask for the bench, I expect them to tell you they will deliver the bench soon, but they won't. I want the bench delivered.

After many frustrating calls Tide Water Workshop, part of the order was shipped. Review: On March 16, 2014, I placed two different orders for the following items from Tidewater Workshop and paid with a credit card. My credit card was charged soon after the order, but it is now June 26, 2014 and I still have not received the items I ordered and paid for. I have emailed and called the company several times and left messages with my request to have them contact me, or to send the items, but I have never received a response. I see that many other customers have had the same issue, so I am hoping that you can help. It seems that customers that have reported complaints through you have received their merchandise and/or communication from the company.

Review: I ordered 2 benches from Tidewater Workshop on September 9, 2012. My credit card was charged on September 11, 2012. Ten months later and I do not have the products I ordered. I have called customer service repeatedly to be told, "your benches are shipping next week." In the last 1-2 months, i've left messages that are not returned. Order [redacted] I've called more than I've documented but my documented calls occurred on: 12/12/12/, 4/19/13, 5/20/13, 6/17/13, 7/5/13Desired Settlement: $275 was debited from my account; I would like that amount refunded via cashiers check and returned to me.

It should not have taking 10 months and a Revdex.com complaint to either (1) receive my product or (2) receive a refund. I suggest that in the future, The Tidewater Workshop NOT debit the account for the purchase price until the product is ready for delivery. Keeping my payment for 10 months without being able to fulfill an order that was supposed to take 6 weeks (as indicated on the Web site) is not good business.

Review: Ordered a Monet Glider (order number [redacted]) at a cost with shipping of $175 on 3/29/2013 and was billed for this amount on my debit card on 4/1/2013 (contrary to the stated policy of billing only after shipment). I have not received the product to date nor any response to three certified letters of complain or a small claims complaint filled on Oct. 18th (but not served)
I have received shipment, after a delay of about 6 months, two garden benches I ordered from Tidewater at about the same time as the above mentioned item was ordered.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the item I ordered at a minimum. I still have not received my benches and am unsuccessful in getting customer service to call me back.

Order [redacted]. I called after 2 months & was told that because of Hurricane Sandy they were having problems with delivery. I understood & said don't worry, I can wait a few more months. Since they were apparently a disaster victim, I did not want to cause more pain. I called back a few months later & was told my order would be deliver soon. A month later I called back again & was given the same story. This occurred one or two more times. Now they do not even respond to my calls or e-mails. I purchased from them over ten years ago & they were a reliable company with a great product. I do not know what happened since then. Review: I placed an order for 3 [redacted] benches A YEAR AGO, LAST MAY, 2014. I was charged for the purchase within a few days on May 28-29, 2014. I have yet to receive my benches as of May 7, 2015. I am a return customer having placed two other orders over the years and always was highly satisfied.
After several calls to Tidewater Workshop's customer service number in April of this year, and having left many non-returned voice messages, I FINALLY got through to a service rep, named [redacted], on April 20. She apologized, and immediately saw that my order # [redacted] for 3 [redacted] benches ($225) had not shipped and she assured me the order would ship that week. I have not of course received them, nor can I get anyone to answer their customer service number again after many attempts. I sent an email to the company CEO, Mr. [redacted] and received a highly unsatisfactory automatic email response.
I would like a resolution to my issue. If Tidewater Workshop is unable to complete my order and send me the benches (my preference) then I would like them to refund my $225. I cannot imagine how a company can operate with such abominable customer service and a business model possibly bordering on fraud. I request resolution from Tidewater Workshop after a year of waiting and having paid for the benches.

I have told them however, their practices are unacceptable. the 4 month delay in processing the order, the taking of money immediately, the unresponsiveness of customer service I will not be using them again, nor will I recommend them to anyone else. They need to revamp their organization.

Review: On August 7 I ordered a bench for my mom from Tidewater workshop. On August 10, her credit card was charged for the bench. In late September, when the bench had not arrived, I called the company during the business hours when they claim to have operators available to address customer service problems - I called numerous times of the day, numerous days and NEVER was able to talk with a customer service representative. My calls were never returned. My mother did eventually receive a call and was told the bench would be shipped October 7 or 8. It still has not been delivered. I have left more messages and have not yet heard from the company. I thought companies could not legally charge a credit card until the merchandise was actually shipped. Does this constitute fraud? Clearly back in August, they had no intention of shipping a bench on August 10.Desired Settlement: I'd like to have the bench delivered as promised. If my Mom didn't really want this bench, clearly this is a company that no one should do business with...I have read about all of the complaints. I wish I had read about them before I placed the order.

Review: I ordered 2 high top captains chairs on 6/23/14 and 1 high top table on 6/30/14. My credit card purchases were posted on 6/24/14 for $245 for the chairs and on 7/1/14 for $150 for the table. I have not received the products yet. This company has violated its policy by charging for ordered items before they are shipped. I placed a call to customer service on 8/15/14 inquiring about my ordered items and after a brief time on hold with customer service they said the items will ship out that week. Now it is 8/29/14 and I have not received the items. I called customer service today 8/29/14 and got a recording to leave a message. I left a message requesting a full refund to my credit card.
