Ended up paying $180 for what appeared to be an official bill from State of Florida SunBiz for yearly business license fee. It was a fraudulent bill
Received and paid by personal check (TD Bank) the amount of $180 on 4/9/19 for what appeared to be an official bill from State of Florida SunBiz for yearly business license fee. It apparently was a fraudulent bill from an entity named "Sunshine Biz Services, Inc" out of Coconut Creek, FL. (using a strip mall PO Box service). It was only after my accountant noticed that the real state of Florida SunBiz bill had not been paid that the error was discovered. The check was cashed on 4/16/19.
Apparently, this same entity owned and run by a ***, has been reported many times before but apparently continues to operate in an unscrupulous manner. He has not returned multiple attempts to contact him to resolve this matter.
I am demanding a refund in the amount of $180
Scam
Today, 5/7/19, I received a letter at my place of employment for an invoice for Web Hosting costs. Come to find out it is in fact a scam. They need to be stopped before people are out of money. I am an Administrator and I didn't realize it was a scam until after I submitted the invoice to our corporate.
This is not a proper way to do business. They need to remove us from their contact list.
Same as the others. I received what looks very much like an invoice along with an account number showing at the top. Poor business practice for sure!
Fake Invoice Bill
They sent a fake invoice bill. It looks like a real bill. I needed to send to my son why we were being charged. I would have paid. They must be ***. The small writing in the middle I would have never read it is too small. Very dishonest, they should be ashamed.
No further contact and they get punished penalized and put out of business for being
Received a letting in the form of an Invoice for services not received. I learned this is a scam that many have received and complained about.
Sunshine Biz Services sent a letter in the form of an Invoice with a due date of 5/22/19, an account number XXXXXXXXX, the amount due of $180.00, payable by check, or by credit card at www.trendywebsolutions.com, for web hosting.
Phone number provided XXX-XXX-XXXX. This same number is on their contact info on the website. I called the number and they only accept new service calls.
The "Invoice" looks legitimate. It does state in one place that it is a solicitation and not a bill. However, it looks like an invoice and could have slipped through our accounting department to be paid.
These people at Sunshine Biz Services are scammers.
I tried contacting them via phone and the message says they only take new business calls. I am asking to be completely removed from this company's mailing, calling, emailing and solicitation lists of any kind. They are trying to scam U.S. businesses. In my opinion they should be investigated and stopped. If they are allowed to continue soliciting in such a way, innocent people will fall victim.
I received a correspondence from this company. It looks like a real bill. Down below in Black they then tell me its a solicitation.
I received a correspondence from this company. Unlike other fake invoices this looks real and in fact, no where on the top portion where you submit payment does it say its solicitation. There is a statement at the bottom of the invoice that says this is for solicitation. Its a very crafty scam.
They need to make the solicitation part more apparent. I did file a complaint with the FTC and encourage others to do the same. I hope this turns into a class action.
I wish for them to take me off their call and mail list. I will not call them.
Billed for $180 for website hosting. I have no business with this company.
I am being billed for $180 for website hosting and this company is not one I have any dealings with.

4/4/19 I received misleading mail that looks like an invoice for services I have not solicited.
4/4/19 I received USPS mail that at first glance appears to be in an invoice for $180 for my website domain name. I use web hosting services through another company and it was not until I read the fine print did I realize this is a solicitation for services. I find this type of advertising to be misleading and should not be allowed.
Please stop mailing me and do not contact me any further.
Misleading advertising/invioce received from Sunshine Biz Services
Misleading advertising/invoice received from Sunshine Biz Services In April 2019, we received an invoice from Sunshine Biz Service containing what appeared to be an overdue invoice for the amount of $180. Upon inspection of the invoice we were able to find small print that identified the correspondence as a solicitation and not an actual invoice, however, the format and message of the letter is extremely misleading and our office manager nearly sent payment but decided to contact our own web hosting service company to ask if they had changed names before submitting any payment.
To receive no further contact from this company by any means and prosecution for misleading advertising and invoicing!
Advertising letter using invoice format
Stop scammy, shady soliciting tactics from this company, sending ad letters looking like an invoicewith an account number, a due date, and amount for webhosting services and using a company name very similar to the legit "sunbiz.org" website.
I wish to stop this shady practice that could lead to confusion on the nature and the purpose of the solicitation.
Misleading advertising received from Sunshine Biz Services
In February 2019, Melinda Menezes, MD received a letter from Sunshine Biz Service containing what appeared to be an overdue invoice for the amount of $180.
We wish to be removed from the contact list of Sunshine Biz Services and not receive any further communication or advertising messages from them ever again.
Misleading advertisement: Appears to be a bill, a single bold-faced line clarifies that it's only soliciting services.
My client received a letter from Sunshine Biz Services with the same advertisement you see many others complaining about on here.
The letter is clearly designed to look like an invoice for a service. It contains an amount due line, instructions on how to send payment, and even a date for a service that has yet to take place. A single bold faced line located *afterthe payment instructions indicates that the invoice isn't an actual bill, but rather an "advertisement" for their services (even though there is no actual advertisement for what they're selling, just the description of "annual web hosting" for the exorbitant fee of $180.00).
It is evident that the people sending these out are fully aware of what they're doing as the responses they've offered on Revdex.com have been rather hostile.
I'm writing this with the hopes that no one falls victim to this payment trap. If you haven't signed up with them, don't give them your money. And if you have, do everything you can to get your payment back.
Don't contact my client anymore. Better yet, revise your advertising tactic because it's incredibly scummy and misleading.
Shady advertising practices with malicious intent. This is a scam meant to mislead the recipient.
This has got to be one of the shadiest things I've ever seen from a company. It's is a false invoice for $180 to be paid directly to Sunshine Biz. The screenshot below is the first part and most prominent part of the document.
https://d.pr/free/i/kkrxOB (I've redacted any personal information)
I have also reported them to the FTC for invoice fraud. This looks exactly like an invoice and shamelessly ask the recipient to write a check or pay online for services not rendered.
They've claimed, in response to other Revdex.com complaints made against them, that they with the person would have contacted them directly. When you call you can either press 1 for new business or 2 for all other calls. If you press 2 you will receive a message that essentially shrugs you off rather than dealing with the complaint. It will tell you to disregard the notice and that it's just a solicitation to cover their own tails.
What happens to the money that people do send in with such a strong call to action to send them money? They're getting away with fraud because of a line near the bottom after they have already led you to believe that you owe them money. This is a scam. This company is shameless.
I want them to stop this false advertisement and dirty solicitation. I want them to answer to the FTC for invoice fraud. I want the Revdex.com to bring down the harshest penalty possible. This is a scam. This is shady. This is misleading and fraud.
Invoice style advertisement is designed to trick consumers into paying for services.
Sunshine Biz Services is sending out advertisements that mock the look of an invoice. It mimics the structure of invoice almost exactly. This is a design flaw and clearly being used to trick consumers into paying for services.
There is a line towards the middle/bottom of the advertisement that does state that this is not a bill, but it's extremely deceiving in its overall design.
Too many people clearly are getting scammed by assuming this is an actual bill.
The design of this advertisement needs to be changed, and we do not want to be on the mailing list for this kind of deceit and blatant scamming.
We want to be removed from all further contact by the business and their advertisement model should be changed.
Ms., the mailing you received was, as distinguished correctly, a solicitation clearly outlined per the bold font of the letter (plainly visible). We suggest you re-read the solicitation again to confirm this. Our apologies that you felt the need to reach out to the Revdex.com rather than contacting us directly, so we could have explained our services and products to you in detail. In closing, we have removed your details from our marketing list. Of course, should you have any further questions/concerns at all, please feel free to contact us.
Solicitation disguised as a bill/invoice
There have been many reviews left about this same issue. We received a solicitation disguised as an invoice. My first reaction was that this company is not the company that hosts my website. I proceeded to read the "invoice" and realized it was a solicitation for a company wanting to host my website. I am not happy at all with how the company chose to solicit their products to me.. I feel that this company is trying to trick people into paying this solicitation, hence why they are disguising it as a bill. I feel that it is very misleading and inappropriate and needs to be discontinued. I get many solicitations from marketing and hosting companies that approach me directly, without being sneaky about their advertisement.
Contact the company and request they put a stop to this campaign.
Dear Mr.,You received, as distinguished correctly, not an invoice, but a solicitation (plainly visible). Please re-read the solicitation to confirm. Your complaint fails to mention that privatization of web hosting and renewals allows customers the choice of web hosting providers when initially establishing a website and when renewing web hosting. Web hosting customers are not obligated to renew their web hosting with their current or new provider. It is unfortunate you felt the need to reach out to the Revdex.com rather than contacting us directly, so we could have explained our services and products to you in detail. Please do not hesitate to contact us for additional questions you might have.Best Regards, Trendy Web Solutions
Fake invoice
They have repeatedly been sending bills and invoices with a due date and amount and trying to make their solicitation into a paying business. Complete fraud when you call the number the only working option is to sign up if you have other questions it will disconnect
They need to be stopped
Dr. ***, the mailing you received was a solicitation as clearly outlined per the bold font of the letter (plainly visible). We suggest you re-read the solicitation again to confirm this. Your complaint fails to mention that privatization of web hosting and renewals allows customers the choice of web hosting providers when initially establishing a website and when renewing web hosting. Web hosting customers are not obligated to renew their web hosting with their current provider or a new one. Your frivolous and unsubstantiated allegations completely negate your complaint, in that a) our records indicate we sent you one solicitation only, b) none of our representatives ever received a call from you, and c) you never even attempted to familiarize yourself with our products and services. Should you want to engage in a meaningful and professional dialogue, you have our contact details.Best Regards, Trendy Web Solutions
We received a bogus bill for $180. This is a scam and this company needs to be reported to the FTC.
This company has never provided any web services and they keep billing us fro $180. This is a scam and a bogus bill. They need to be be reported to the FTC ( Federal Trade Commissions) and the Florida Attorney General's Office.
They need to remove our name from their scam list.
Mr., the mailing you received was a solicitation as clearly outlined per the bold font of the letter (plainly visible). We suggest you re-read the solicitation again to confirm this. Your complaint fails to mention that privatization of web hosting and renewals allows customers the choice of web hosting providers when initially establishing a website and when renewing web hosting. Web hosting customers are not obligated to renew their web hosting with their current or new provider.A word of advice - before resorting to frivolous, meaningless and unsubstantiated allegations, read and familiarize yourself with services offered, contact provider, and then make an informed decision.Best Regards, Trendy Web Solutions
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)They need to remove our name from their mailing list. They have not offered to do this voluntarily in their response. I want this confirmed in writing within 10 days in writing. Otherwise, Revdex.com should report their sales practice to FTC. I strongly feel they are using deceptive sales practices. Google their complaints and you will see.
Rip off artist. They send the typical statement that looks like an invoice in the mail for web hosting. I understand selling, but doing in this manner, even going as far as showing people a DUE DATE on it is just fraudulent.
You received not an invoice, but a solicitation per the bold font of the solicitation. Unfortunately, you chose to not familiarize yourself with our products and services by failing to thoroughly read our solicitation. The privatization of web hosting and renewals allows customers the choice of web hosting providers when initially establishing a website and when renewing web hosting. Web hosting customers are not obligated to renew their web hosting with their current provider or with Sunshine Biz Services. If you would have engaged in a MEANINGFUL and PROFESSIONAL DIALOGUE with us directly (our contact details are clearly outlined), instead of your unsubstantiated, meaningless, and frivolous allegations, we are certain you would be one of our satisfied clients now. In conclusion, our policy is to not engage in this type of detrimental consumer behavior, since your intentions are blatantly obvious.
We received a letter from Trendy Web Solutions/Sunshine Biz Services, offering their web hosting and design. Since we were in need of a website anyway, we decided to give them a try. They were prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and took their time to learn about our business.
As business owners, it's refreshing to deal with other business owners who treat your project as their own. They were very easy to work with and we absolutely love our site! Another big plus - we have a dedicated representative who is second to none! Trendy Web Solutions/Sunshine Biz Services has and is an absolute pleasure to work with.
***, ATL
I received a bogus invoice/bill claiming I owed the company $180 for an annual web hosting fee.
This company sent me a fraudulent invoice claiming I owed them $180 for web hosting. It stated my web site, www.robertleedywatercolors.com; my address, 3750 Vickers Lake Drive / Jacksonville, FL XXXXX; included an account #, XXXXXXXX; a date, 10/01/208; a due date, 10/22/18; a description of the service for which the amount is due, "Yearly Web Hosting - www.robertleedywatercolors.com, $180"; directions on who to make checks payable to and their website to pay by a credit card;
The invoice was so legitimate looking that I spent about 30 minutes going through financial records to determine who normally bills me for that service (I later realized it is automatically handled through the company that designs my website) and could not find the answer. Next, I Googled "Sunshine Biz Services" and a former Revdex.com complaint that matched my problem word-for-word popped up.
I called the company with a number that was provided on the "invoice". I complained to the woman about the fraudulent marketing and she told me she was only the answering service for Sunshine Biz Services. I then went back to the "invoice" and saw - way down in the details - that "this is a solicitation for the order of goods or services, or both, and not a bill, invoice, or statement of account due."
How many people do you imagine simply wrote a check to them without even having a second thought? This is a new, low-life for of marketing that should be stopped! For anyone who is afraid of a bad credit rating, they know that their bills should be paid on time. This "solicitation" poses as an official bill - a debt that should be paid promptly (they only allow you 22 days to pay.)
THIS KIND OF FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY SHOULD BE STOPPED!
a.) They should send me a letter of apology and officially state that I do not owe them any money for any services. b.) They should be told to STOP such fraudulent marketing services IMMEDIATELY. c.) They should be threatened with legal action for non-compliance.
Mr.,You received, as distinguished correctly, not an invoice, but a solicitation per the bold font in the center of the solicitation. Please re-read the solicitation again to confirm this. It is extremely clear and conspicuous. Our apologies that you felt the need to reach out to the Revdex.com rather than contacting us directly, so we could have explained our services and products to you in detail. Please do not hesitate to contact us directly for additional questions you might have.Thank you and Best RegardsClient Support Trendy Web Solutions
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I DID reach out and call the company; problem is, they do not "accept calls" and an employee poses as an answering service to weed out the "bad" stuff. Option #2 on the voice mail plays a recording specifying that this is only a solicitation and NOT a bill. Funny, why did they know to record that? Sounds like it has happened before? These people should be forced to stop such tricky marketing schemes and the fact that if you Google Sunshine Biz Services, you get all kinds of complaints, many from the Revdex.com. There is even a mention of them on Clark Howard's website! I would think the Revdex.com would take some sort of action on multiple complaints. Disgusting.
