Late *** or early ***, I started looking for a solar power coI spoke to around 8-different companiesAll companies came to my home and gave their sales pitch*** ***, the representative for Sunrun, *** *** made certain promises to both Myself and my wife which Sunrun will not or can not fulfill** *** promised that we would Not have to cutback on our electrical usage because Sunrun will absolutely over produceSince then I have found out that this guaranteed over production ( by ** *** as a representative of sunrun) was and still is a COMPLETE FALSEHOOD OR LIE IN ORDER TO GET A SALE!!! I also told *** *** THAT LAST YEARS electrical usage would be incorrect since my wife was back east the summer before for a little over months which he did not care about or take into consideration of usageSo I have had to cut back on electronic usageThe salesman purposely made promises as a company representative that he knew were untrue, just to get a saleI have c

When I signed the contract to have solar installed on 8/10/17, I wasn’t informed by the sales office or the rep that I was required to notify *** by 8/31/to be grandfathered in to the *** *** net metering riderTherefore I am not receiving the savings they promised me by having their solar system installedBetween the monthly panel lease amount and the *** *** I’m paying more now than before I had solar

We purchased a home that already had SunRun solar installed with promises of great savings and serviceHowever, now being the owners we have had quite the opposite experienceThe latest issue began with us receiving a high usage alert from our electric company, SDGE letting us know we were getting a penalty for extra high usageIt was surprising since for the last year we have paid around $5-$to SDGEWe assumed it must be a mistake so we followed up with themWe then discovered that our solar had been failing for the last months and not reporting any energy at allWe were shocked that no one contacted us to let us know until we received a $bill! We then contacted SunRun and had to leave a messageThe next day we received a notification from sunrun that there is a meter problem and that someone will schedule to come outI began calling SunRun multiple times sitting on hold and waiting for over minutes each time - even up to over and hour without getting in touch wit

I live in NJ and when my wife and I met with the Sunrun sales rep several times made commitments to us that Sunrun will not honorSpecifically our sales rep is no longer with Sunrun tol both my wife and I that since we are leasing the solar array if we sold our house and the prospective buyers didn't want the solar lease and or payment Sunrun would remove the solar array, I read this same complaint from several people on the Sunrun *** site, since we are going to put our house up for sale I called Sunrun and asked about how to go about this should a prospective buyer didn't want itI was told by Sunrun my sales rep was incorrect and that the sale of my house would have to be contingent upon the prospective buyer accepting the lease, otherwise we couldn't sell to this prospective buyer or I could pay off the lease which is a year lease and I would not recover the expense through the saleThis extremely limits my ability to sell the houseMy sales rep also told me that if we received heavy snow some one contracted by Sunrun would come and clean it off to realize the solar credits from the sun, after a rough winter a year ago we received well over a foot of snow and I called sunrun telling them what our rep told us, they laughed and said they don't do that and since I am disabled I am unable to do it thus loosing the solar credits due to the heavy snow and ice on top of the solar arrayThis having a direct impact on selling our home I am very dissatisfied with the Sunrun company not standing behind what their sales reps commit to, and it wasn't only mine because the *** complaints the same as mine were from different states

They said I would never see another elect bill and should have a credit at the end of the yearlast year I paid plus my monthly bill of 146.00, when I called Sunrun they told me that was normalThree months I got a bill from my *** company the Elect company said I haven't produced any solar for a month, I called Sunrun days they came and reset the reset button inside their system, I asked about a credit for the month , they said no! this year plus total $+= $2,before solar my average yearly bill $1,My Elect company told me I need to report themStay away from them

On *** we had panels installed on the roof of my property located at *** ** *** *** *** **We noticed immediately after the panels were installed our home was having issues supporting the weight of the panels, ie unusual noises such as creeks, squeaking, and shutteringWe also noticed nails popping through our ceiling just below the panels, this new issue happened just after we had a very heavy snow on *** (pics available) Shortly after this storm I contacted Sunrun about the damage we were experiencing to our home with no replyI called back on *** and talked to *** and she told me her supervisor *** *** would be contacting meShortly after that *** *** came to inspect the damage and what he found was surprisingThe panels according to *** *** should of never of been installed and their engineers should of caught that due to the fact our roof has a *** pitch and with ** on center trust the builder should of used *** not the *** used

June of 2016, panels were installed on a year old roofNov 4th we noticed a leak in the roof at the beam where a bracket was installed to hold the panelsWe called SunRun and within a couple days someone was at the house to assess the problemIt was confirmed the leak was caused by the hardware used to secure the bracket to the beamThe technician secured the hardware and replaced a seal and claimed the issue was fixedLater on , the same day, we noticed the roof was still leaking in the same location (it was raining so it was easy to see the water still coming in)We called back that same day and was ensured a call backNothingCalled again a couple days later and spoke to a representative, no call back to schedule someone to come back to the houseCalled again a couple days later and was told the technician that performed the work at the house was on vacation and they were awaiting his returnI found that odd because there has to be more than one technician to han

Sunrun is a complete hoaxThey do not deliver on their promised savings
They do not service maintain or update their product
They overcharge an under deliverEvery ear the cost to me goes up, but I see no savings on my electric bill
This company is a fraud

Why does this company have an A+, if out of reviews, they have negative reviews? Well you can add another negative reviewHorrible customer serviceNot enough qualified technicians to deal with issuesNoise coming from roof since panels have been installed, keep getting run around, being told system is working right And we can get an electrician, and if it's Sunrun's fault they will pay us backWe are on fixed income Are they kidding? We have been complaining since this system has been installed They have one week left, and then I lodge a complaint to *** *** ***

Sunrun is claiming that if I do not allow them to connect directly to my internet router I will void the Performance Guarantee under my agreement with themThis is not required under my original agreement

As a previous customer stated sun run does not care about its customersMy system also went down due to faulty invertor March sunrun did not notify me until March and then they told me I had to wait for verengo to contact me for the repairI explained to sunrun that all you had to do was call verengo and you would know they were officially out of business chapter No not sunrun let’s just wait a week and see if they call youWell guess what no callsnow I have called sunrun times wasted one half day off to find out my invertor was bad been bill the full monthly amount from sunrun while my sdge bill goes way up and it is April and still no repairs What a lousy companyLike other have stated we are stuck with poor customer service and what appears to be a very badly run companyCan you imagine if solar was are only optionWe would be having riots in the streets and people would get hurt due to the way that do not handle the issues with the systems they install
Buyer beware for sure

I leased a SunRun PV system for a rental property I owned several years agoWhen I negotiated to sell the house, I notified SunRun and they facilitated the assumption of a new lease for the new ownersI called six times to resolve payments taken from my bank account after the sale of the houseSunRun claims that I should have notified them if I wanted a refundI learned today that they refunded the new ownersThey require bank statements to substantiate my claimEverytime I call I get a different story

I had solar installed on my home in May When they installed these panelsI was told that I would see my electric bill decreaseI called them over and over again I am on a fixed income so I thought that this would me out Since was told that I wouldn't repaying know more than about forty dollars and the to Sunrunthey told me that I would see a credit on my electric bill everyI haven't seen any savingI am paying the same for my electric every month which runs about a month plus they I am tryed calling themI believe that this company is a fraudthey 're there just to take your money

Sunrun installed solar on our home in Stockton about months agoWe were assured time and again we could use as much electricity as we wanted now that we had solar, and I wouldn't have to worry about ever getting a bill from PGE for more than the minimum $every month That was true for a year, then PGE sent a bill for $2500! Come to find out this is to offset what the solar system wasn't producingIt took a full months for Sunrun to 'investigate' this billAt which point we were told we would have to pay the bill and the salesperson that LIED to me was going to be 'written up'In other words no help whatsoever

I had my solar installed now since feb and have always paid by checkI never wanted my checking to be linked with an accountI paid online for the first time a week agoApparently it took money from my checking account twicei called customer service the next day and was told it would take a few days but my money would be transferred back I called today a week later and the rep told me it would take 2-weeks to transfer my money backwhen I told the customer service rep that it would probably be the time my next bill would come, she said why didnt you just tell the first rep to keep it for next months bill! Really that is no way to treat a customer by holding my money hostagesorry but that is unacceptable.Up until now we always spoke highy of the companynow when friends ask, I'll tell them shop around

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
First, wanted to notify that Sunrun was able to send me the contract I requested only after several months and that too after I filed a complaint with Revdex.comSecond, as I repeatedly told, Sunrun never acknowledged the transfer of contract (there was a place in the contract where Sunrun has to sign & acknowldege which is left blank) and even never bothered to brief me the terms & conditionsHad the Sunrun briefed me about the terms & conditions inspite of my repeated requests I never would have obliged to sign the contractI’ve furnishedthe proofs for this detail in attachments already
Third, It was the Sunrun representative ** ***, who called & offered me that he will look into my billing & reduce the monthly rate if I consider continuing the contractI mentioned I’ll look into it & make a decisionOtherwise I was asking to terminate the contractHowever he called me again after a few days and only informed the contract was valid & will not reduce the rateOne of the customer representative even mentioned Sunrun doesn’t offer any savingsHe said it only offers Solar panels as I included in previous detailThe customer service has been pathetic all the while
As mentioned in my previous notes, without sunrun my bill wouldn’t be more than *** * ***I end up paying *** to sunrun and they wanted to bind me for long years even without briefing me the length of the contractThe previous transfer of contract was signed as part of the home purchase and the Sunrun customer service promised to call me once they receive the contract to brief me about the terms and they failed to do so.

I bought panels weeks ago after installation it was noticed that there were multiple holes in the side of my home I called to complain the next day without my knowledge the invertor and other equipment had been removed o was promised it would be fixed immediately still to this day it has not o have made multiple phone calls it to be told it will be fixed and still nothing it is not right

We had a "sales transition specialist" assigned to us when we sold our homeWe followed directions and a month after the closing, we received a billWe were never told about another bill coming and therefore turned off auto paymentWhen we got the "last" bill, we were charged an additional $fro turning off auto paymentWhen I reached out to our sales transition specialist I never got a replyI called numerous times, left voice mails and even emailed (I have the email chain)I then reached out to just a generic Sun Run employee and they explained why we were charged the $They told me the original sales transition specialist was no longer there and gave me the name of the new sales transition specialistI asked for his contact info, from the person that provided his name, but got no replyI managed to figure out the new sales transition specialist email address and emailed himI got no replyI reached back out to the generic Sun Run employees and was told that the "new"

I am furious with Sunrun, Inc I was an *** Solar customer and Sunrun purchased *** Solar a while backAt the time, I was concerned about service and support and how it would be handledWell, my concerns were unfortunately validatedI noticed that one of my solar panels had not been producing power similar to the others in my system To me, it is a material difference So, I called Sunrun to have them service the issueI had specifically purchased extended warranties for my system when I purchased the system from *** Solar and I was assured they would take care of meIt took weeks for Sunrun to contact me after placing my initial callThen, they told me that there was nothing wrong with my system (clearly contradicted by the solar management system data from "Enphase", which I provided to them)Regardless, they told me they would not repair the system, but that they would come out for $dollars per HOUR to take a look at it Really??? Ok, that just does not feel right Why would they need to come out to my home and charge me when they can see the same data on the monitoring system that I can see??? Why did I pay extra for the warranty upgrades? Something is suspect hereI don't know what I can do to get the system issue fixed, but I wanted to warn people that to me, this is a deceptive practiceI feel like they are trying to take advantage of me*** Solar was never like this and anytime I called in, they bent over backwards to take care of me I don't even know what recourse I have?!!!! Currently, I am a very unhappy customer and I would not recommend doing business with Sunrun
