Sunrun are a bunch of scam artistsThey called me about solar and were extremely pushy They put me on hold and I could hear foul language and laughing in the backgroundVery unprofessional organization, I would never buy anything from this companyI *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** ** *** *** ** ***
I am dissatisfied with the standard of service due to its failure to meet reasonable expectations as originally described by the sales repFor example, I was told that I would receive a monthly bill starting in July to reflect my solar lease commencement date of 06/09/However, my first bill came six months later in an invoice dated 12/09/for $In addition, I was informed by the sales rep that my account would be adjusted for services not rendered at the end of the 12-month billing cycleHe failed to mention that I would be charged an “ACH Non-Compliance Charge” of $every monthIn addition, the bill is not comprehensive as it fails to list an itemized breakdown of my electricity chargesI feel that I am being purposely taken advantage of by a self-serving billing system that is impossible to decipher as it does not provide clear informationFor example, what is the charge per kWh? Most importantly, the system has yet to function properly despite my multiple att
Have a roof leaking after installation of the solar panel around year agoSunRun sent someone to repair it at no cost at allRoof start leaking again few weeks ago and I call them but now they decided that it is not their problem and asking me to pay them to remove the solar panel so that someone else can repair the roofIt is not what stated in the contract which they said roof is under warrantySo now we have to pay twice to fix our roof ourself
Since the installation of the Sunrun solar panels, our roof has leakedA small taste of what Sunrun thinks about customer service can be reviewed by calling their customer service line, once you go through the loop of questions for 10+ minutes you might be able to speak with someone that will be irritated you calledWhen originally contacted by Sunrun contractors our roof was inspected and we were informed the roof was in great shape and ready for panels to be installed with no issuesHowever, less than years later we are experience roof leaks, in an effort to avoid the many other reviews and outcomes listed on this site we asked that Sunrun detach the panels and we will pay for the new roofInstead, Sunrun sent us an estimate of $*** to remove and replace our panelsInterestingly enough there is a portion of the bill, $*** that is identified for processingNo idea what that means other than gougingI have made calls and attempted to work with Chris at Sunrun but we are n

I need some helpWe had solar panels put on our roof through SunRun in November ***It has been NOTHING short of a problem sinceIt took over months to get the system activatedBut it seemed to run fine until late fall of ***At that time, the production was not up to what was promisedAfter numerous phone calls to them, and not one back, we were told it was trees and shadeAs we live in New England and it is fall, the trees now were without leaves and not any different than the spring *** or previous fall *** when they sold us the systemThey are supposed to monitor the production and never noticed anythingThey don't care because nothing has ever been monitoredI never got any calls back from December through February so I called in February about our Performance GuaranteeI was told that I shouldn't be upset about production since I will get money if it doesn't produceI was told I would get a check over $*** within weeksAgain nothingWe did get a credit with
How do you get an A+ review if you have a company that doesn't answer the phone? When you do get a person, they transfer you back to hold for someone elseIf I have this many problems getting through to get on the schedule for install what is going to happen being stuck with this company forever? Looks like we may be backing out and going with a company that can answer the phone because as of right now I am scaredAND WE WERE GOING THROUGH ***

=> I signed up for Solar Energy service with a promised rebate of $as a Comcast employee, which was the main reason why I signed up in the first placeAfter the installation, I was told it will take 6-weeks before I receive the rebate in the mail=> Fast forward to 1st of OctoberCalled customer service several times and I was transferred from one rep to another and I was told to contact Comcast about my rebateSince this is not the experience one of my co-workers who signed up for this, I tried to contact my Sales Rep, Tyler Callahan and I spoke to him, and I was told that it wasn't filed at all and that the promotions team only filed it on Oct 7, which will start my wait for the 6-week timeframe they promised=> Checked with my Sales Rep Tyler Callahan on Nov and asked for an update since the Dec will be the 8th week since they filed for my rebateStill can't get any info on the status of my rebate=> Called customer service on Dec 1, spoke to Dere
I was sent a letter about a bill being overdue, I called times a day for over a week to get someone on the phone to either set up a payment plan or see about paying itI never received a call back so In order to avoid going to collections I got a loan and mailed a check on 4/4/I called on 4/6/to make sure that it was received and it went straight to voicemail like all the other callsSomeone called me back and confirmed that the payment was receivedThe check was cleared on 4/10/and then on 4/23/I received a letter from a collections agency dated 4/16/stating that I was in collections for the amount that I had already paidThis has yet to be resolved and now it’s affecting my credit
I contact Sunrun to remove my solar panels temporarily so that I can complete a replacement of my roofMy roof is leaking in multiple locations and needs a replacementI can not start this roof replacement project until the solar panels are removedMy only option for removal of the solar panels is to agree to Sunruns contract and price and have their employees come out and remove the panelsI started this process by calling Sunrun on February 22nd and was told that my request needed escalation for reviewOn February 26th I had not heard from anyone and I called back in to Sunrun to get a statusI had to call times that day to reach someone that could answer what is the status of my requestAt that time I asked for a Supervisor and was denied a phone number or transfer to a SupervisorI was only given an email addressI completed an email to *** explaining my concernsOn that same day I was contacted by someone in his department and they offered me t
Since January ***, our solar system has gone down timesWe are the ones that identify a problem and have to contact themThen it takes several days for them to get back to us to tell us when a technician can come out to find the problemIn the meantime, we are paying much more for electricity because of their inferior product and serviceThey used misleading sales tactics and contract explanations to get us to sign up with them but they simply are not holding up their end of the Contract! We are sick and tired of being ripped off by this mediocre company!
We have had our PTO (permission to operate) since August 14, The system was not operational until November 10, (Long story, but I had to file a complaint against Horizon Solar to get that issue resolved)Since that day I have made several calls to the Sunrun Customer Service number to try to get my bill correctedI have an outstanding balance from August, when the system wasn’t operationalFinally in early January I received an email from the Billing Department stating they would be crediting $to our account on January 16, due to the “performance agreement”The credit was never appliedAlso, in January I started receiving calls and emails from the Sunrun Collections Department located in San FranciscoChris*** from the Collections Department has been trying to assist but there has still been no resolutionI need to have this issue resolved so I can bring my account current
When my solar was contracted it was said that the overage charges would not exceed five hundred dollars a year at the end of december I received a bill from sce in excess of eighteen hundred dollars
They came recommended by my wife's friendThey had a PV system installed a week ago and they said they had a good experience with the companyI've been interested in solar options for a while and after a new roof installation, I decided to research solar optionsWhat I should have done was researched Sunrun before I called to make a consultation appointmentAfter making the appointment I started to see the Revdex.com reviews, social media video complaints, and online blogs complaining about the company and lack of after sales serviceLong story short I decided to cancel my appointmentWhen I called I received what sounded like a young man who asked me why I was cancelingI was honest and told him I didn't like the reviews and complaints lodged against the companyHe responded by saying, " Even *** *** has bad reviews, but if you change your mind please give us a call." Before I could respond he hung up on meGuess he was too busy to put my mind at ease
When I bought my house back in *** I took over a lease with their solar companyDuring my escrow I signed all the paper work with my account information for auto payments to be madeWell unfortunately whoever is in charge are their side of the company to transfer that information and set me up failed to do soI notcied after the first month or two that I saw a balance being owedSo I reached out and a representative from their company assured me it was a mistake and my autopay was set upThen two more months went by and a gentleman from their company saw the problem and told me to not to worry their billing specialist *** would get in touch with me and help me solve the problem and work out a payment option so I didn't have to pay *** plus dollars all at one time and offset my other billsWell he never called me after I left messages reaching out to himFast foward to *** their collection unit calls me a man named *** threatning me to pay the full amount right the
I wanted to get solar to save on my electric billI contacted a few companies for comparisonI preferred sunrun above the other companies so I chose themI am truly sorry nowMy system was powered on in mid April 2107, by mid June my system was downIt has been down on and off now over these last monthsAs you know when the system is down you are not producing energyIt takes weeks for them to send someone out to repairWhy should a brand new system even need repair anyway??? I will now not have someone out until augustAnother month downAnd if they tell me one more time that "at the end of the year if it didn't produce what they said it would, I get compensated" I'm going to scream This is their tactic to console you and try to make you feel betterI never went into this as a yearly, "let's see how we come out at the end" I don't care about the end of the year, I care about my month to monthMy intention with solar was to pay less monthlyNow because of all the outages, I have to pay more for my electric than I ever have before Since I have to pay them the lease fee and the electric co for my usageAnd they can never give me back what possible overages I could have produced I am extremely pissed and I'm an inch away from having them pull this crap off my roof and I will go with another companyIncidentally, it's the same error code coming up over and over again that was supposed to be initially fixed Makes me wonder of the quality of their product, especially since you can't get a tech out to you for weeksWhy so many service calls? I can't even express in words how much I regret my decision and I will not be recommending sunrun to anyone, ever
Had our Sunrun system turned on since May in the Denver metro area and it was easy and seamless! We used to pay $80/month for electricity, now we pay $60/monthPlus we got a $bonus because of their partnership with ***More importantly, we are no longer supporting the local coal industry — every day the sun is out powers our home! It’s pretty coolI wish more people would share their positive experiences on here, as I know multiple happy customers
