Sunlight Contractors recently installed open-cell spray foam insulation in our attic. We immediately felt the difference in our home. The house is not as drafty and the heater comes on less frequently. The temperature in the attic is only a few degrees different than inside the house. It's great to be able to store things in the attic again. The workmen were friendly and efficient for both the fiberglass removal and the foam installation. They came on time, worked quickly, and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely recommend Sunlight Contractors to my friends.

All were very cordial, polite, and professional.
I especially liked that they did exactly what the promised to do!!!
They answered all phone calls and took time to explain and answered all my questions and concerns truthfully.
They were able to quickly respond to my project and arrived on time as promised.
Ira, followed up with an onsite visit to check that the project went as expected and that all my expectation were met to my satisfaction.

Great work. I can't wait to see the energy savings

Under house moisture problems for over 20 years. When my laminate floors started buckling, I started my research. The only problem, too much bad information and too many unqualified contractors. After speaking with a flooring company about my problem I was told to put down a vapor barrier on the soil under my house. So, I laid down several rolls of 8 mil plastic film under my house. Problems continued.
I listened to the DIY radio "problem solver" every Saturday morning and heard several people calling in with a similar, but not quite the exact problem I was having. I was also hearing a different solution each Saturday. Spray foam, Insulation, Cellulose, Open Cell, Closed Cell, Foam Boards, fans, etc., I was totally confused.
I kept combing the web researching my problem and saw where some people were getting good results with spray foam. So, I called around to get a few estimates and advice. All of the companies I called wanted to know how many square feet and some even gave me a quote over the phone!
I was giving up and then Googled: Spray foam contractors in Louisiana, and saw Sunlight Contractors and read a few of their reviews from people with under the house moisture problems and buckling floors.
The most impressive reviews?, the most satisfied customers?, the best customer service? Facebook, Google, Angie's List, Revdex.com, All 5 stars??? Could it be true? Only one company was at the top, Sunlight Contractors.
The others I called, Not Even Close! I filled out the contact form and wrote: Buckling floors & Moisture problems. I would like to get an estimate next time you're in the area. I figured they might call in a week or so after my new floor was installed. Ira Bosh responded to my e-mail within an hour and starts sending me data, and websites and YouTube videos. He then called me the day after and asked if I would be available for him to come by later that day to take moisture readings and give me an estimate. After reading the plain English, literature he sent me, I knew spray form was the best solution for my problem. When Ira pulled up in my driveway and Clayton got out and asked where he could crawl under the house and started suiting up for the dark and dirty task, I knew this guy wasn't fooling around. It took Ira 30 minutes to explain exactly what I needed and the many homes he had great results with. He listened to all of my concerns and answered every question. He said no matter who I called or got information from, that this was what needed to be done. He also recommended that I hold off on installing the new floor until after I had the spray foam done.
Well, I finished up my research that night, texted him on Sunday evening and said Let's Do it! I asked if there was any way to expedite the project. So I could have Thanksgiving dinner at home. On Monday afternoon he showed up just like he said he would, with a crew and installed an indirect heater with 16 - 5-gallon cans filled with diesel fuel. I volunteered to keep them running 24 hrs. a day. On Wednesday after several texts back and forth explaining exactly his project schedule he showed up just like he said he would. By 5 pm he had already supervised his crew dismantling of the heater and removing the fans, and spray-painted the entire underside of my house with a special moisture paint that drives the moisture from wood, 65 gallons! He then sent me pictures of the low moisture readings to show the heater and paint worked to perfection! Tomorrow there coming to spray foam! I can't say enough good things about this special team of men that know their business and provide honest, courteous, and knowledgeable customer service.
I know this review may be too long for posting and promise a post-review when the work is done. I hope this helps with folks having the same problems. I just wish I had read a post like this 20 years ago. Thank you, *** and thanks Sunlight Contractors,!!

Sunlight was all-around the best choice. They seemed high at first (I had 3 quotes), but when I started asking questions about what was included, I quickly found that they were the lowest price when you consider all they do with a standard job (make sure you are comparing apples to apples).

DO YOUR RESEARCH!! This is a major change to your home - spray foam homes need some other considerations to function properly, so be sure it is right for you. I am replacing my air conditioner at the same time, so I was able to tailor the system to work properly - you need sealed combustion appliances for safety with this insulation, so be prepared to spend more money than just insulation. It might change your cooling needs too, so make sure you consult a KNOWLEDGEABLE AC guy too (there are surprisingly few in BR).

Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to hire these guys again. They were highly knowledgeable and did the job right the first time. Their crew was respectful and courteous as well.

I am pursuing purchasing a home in New Orleans, LA. The home has closed cell spray foam insulation that the inspector insisted that open cell is the proper application. I have had a moisture and mold problem for many years. I just didn't know how to fix my swelling floors in my tight crawl space. I was searching the internet and came across Sunlight Contractors and decided to call them. After speaking with Ira Bosh I had Sunlight come out and inspect my crawl space. Clayton from Sunlight Suited up with a protective suit, hood, mask, gloves and did a thorough inspection.
I was so impressed that after *** from Sunlight did the inspection I spoke with *** and hired Sunlight Contractors who began work within a week.
The first step they did was use foggers with a certified Mold killer on my entire 1800 square foot crawl space. Then 2 days later after the mold was dead and the sub floor scrubbed and disinfected they laid out heavy gauge plastic over my entire sub floor that created a vapor barrier and brought in the heavy air movers with ducting and indirect heaters to bring the moisture levels down from 32% to 17%. During this processes they spray painted a special formulated paint from Sherwin Williams to drive the rest of the moisture through my wooden floors. They came every day for 2 - weeks moving the air blowers and putting fuel every day into the indirect heaters. I nor anyone I know get into such a tight crawl space. It's amazing.
Sunlight was very punctual and worked very hard each day. We had rotted wooden beams under the crawl space that sunlight repaired also. After all this was done their spray foam crew came in and sprayed closed cell foam over every wood beam and all the floors. They covered everything with hard foam 2" in depth. They cleaned up after themselves every day and did a marvelous job. They were so respectful they were like family. I can tell a huge difference in my home now that they are finished. There is no musty mold smell, The floors feel solid like a slab home, my a/c works half the time and my air quality in the house is so much better. No more mold spores being drawn into my home from the crawl space anymore.
If I could I would ring everyone's bell in my neighborhood and tell them how to fix their crawl space now. Sunlight Thank you a thousand times.
