Dear
[redacted]
We received
your...
email regarding Mr. [redacted]s complaint.
In reference
to Mr. [redacted]s request, we investigated why he did not receive his $70 mail-in
rebate. Mr. [redacted] purchased his Michelin tires at [redacted] Tire when they were
running an in-house Michelin $70 mail-in rebate. Unfortunately Mr. [redacted] was
not informed that he had to submit his redemption form to [redacted] Tire’s Promotional Center instead
of our Michelin Promotional Center. We
called [redacted] Tire’s Promotional Center and they advised that they would take
care of the issue. We then spoke to Mr.
[redacted] on 06/27/2017 to let him know that he would be contacted by [redacted]
Tire’s Promotional Center. We called him back on 07/5/2017 to follow up on his
case. Mr. [redacted] stated that he had
been contacted by [redacted] Tire’s Promotional Center and that he should be
receiving his mail-in $70 rebate card in three to four weeks. We asked him to
contact us in case he has not received the card by then to
assist.
If you may
have any questions, please do not hesitate in contacting us.

Revdex.com of Upstate South Carolina Attn: [redacted] 408 North Church Street, Suite C Greenville, SC 29601-2149 RE: [redacted] Revdex.com ID#: [redacted] Michelin File #: [redacted] Dear [redacted], We received your email regarding Mr. [redacted] and appreciate the opportunity to respond. We reviewed the circumstances with Mr. [redacted]’s Michelin tires. Our records indicate that we were initially contacted by Mr. [redacted] on 3/30/17 concerning alleged sidewall cracking on his [redacted] tires fitted on his 2008 Chevrolet Suburban 1500. Mr. [redacted] was advised of the 6 year warranty coverage and it was recommended for him to have the tires inspected by the selling retailer, [redacted] Tire, to determine what assistance could be provided under the terms of the warranty. On 4/11/17, we were again contacted by Mr. [redacted] who advised he went to [redacted] Tire for the inspection and purchased competitor brand replacement tires. At this point, the Warranty coverage was void. Our Warranty states “If a tire is covered…. Michelin will replace the tire with a comparable new MICHELIN replacement tire on a pro rata basis. This means that you will be responsible for paying a portion of the cost. The Michelin tire retailer will determine the portion for which you will be responsible by multiplying the percentage of the original usable tread worn, by the current selling retail price at the adjustment location or the price in the current Michelin Base Price List, whichever is lower. You will also be responsible for paying in-full the cost of mounting and balancing the tire, and the cost of any other service charges and applicable taxes…” Because of these details, there is no reimbursement due to Mr. [redacted] under the terms of the Warranty. This was explained to Mr. [redacted] on 4/11/2017. Sincerely, Samantha Executive Response Team Michelin North America

[redacted] by phone and discussed his tire concerns for tire wear. We also discussed with [redacted] about our limited mileage warranty. (Michelin Limited Tread Wear Warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials for the life of the original usable tread, or for 6 years from date of purchase, whichever occurs first. The appropriate adjustment on replacement tires would be extended as long as the tires have worn evenly and have been rotated according to the terms of the limited tread Wear warranty). We discussed with [redacted] that tires are not worn out by law until they are worn down to 2/32 of tread. [redacted] tires were at 4.5/32 of tread. So, we recommend that he drives on his tires another 6,000 kilometers, and we would review for pro rata. We advised him that under our warranty, it would be a pro rata and not a no-charge. [redacted] advised us that he is no longer interesting in replacing his tires with Michelin. We apologize for any inconvenience and the call was disconnected.Sincerely,[redacted]Michelin Executive Response Team.
