Review: I have been contacted several times from Rooms To Go Collections stating some payments have not been made on time. I sent them my bank statement where my on line banking statements verify that every single payment has been made either well before or on the due date. If they chose to case the check after that, then that is their problem. I have impeccable credit and will NOT let them ruin my credit rating, nor will they get ANY late fees from me. I have called and complained and challenged this, as well as faxing all of the appropriate documentation proving my case. They are now harassing me. Yesterday I got a letter stating even though my "inquiry" was noted they are unable to remove the fees that appear on my account, stating the late charge is valid. This is completely bogus. Please help.Desired Settlement: Removal of all late fees and restoration of my perfect credit rating.
Review: Warren Matthews Jr.
Account# 6[redacted]037207
On October 25, 2012, I purchase $4,955.88 of furniture at Ashley Furniture Homestore on a credit card provided by Ashley Furniture Homestore (T D Retail Card Services). I have made the scheduled monthly payment as stated and paid additional payments to avoid the deferred interest charge effective November 9, 2013. On my statement period 05/14/2013 to 06/13/2013 I was charged $203.92 interest charged. I when to Ashley Furniture Homestore where I purchase the furniture to inquire about the additional charges. The managers of the store called the T D Retail Card Services Customer service Department to see why I was charged $203.92. It was stated that I had a six month deferred interest plan that was not paid in full on 05-09-13. This was not disclosure to me when I purchase the furniture at Ashley Furniture Homestore. The additional payment that I have made does not reflect where the additional money is being placed on my credit card statement. Also, the addition money that I have paid is above and over the plan amount that is in question for May 9, 2013. I have written a letter to the Customer service department at T D retail card service to rectify this problem to no avail.Desired Settlement: Refund my credit card in the amount of all charged interest. Honor the Agreement as stated in the purchase order.

Review: I made a payment to this company on 1/1/15 and it posted on 1/2/15. I called this company on 1/10/15 to make sure the payment posted and they said everything was fine. They pulled an another payment out of my account on 1/20/15. So I called the company and they said they know about the glitch in the system and they have it fixed. So I asked about getting the payments fixed and they said no we cant help and hung up on me. So I called back and asked to speck with a supervisor right away and she said the same thing and hung up on me again so I went to the web site to dispute the payment and it tells me how to do it. So I do it just as it says and it wont let me submit that dispute. both of the people I spoke to said they know that the system had a problem but they both said they will do nothing for the problem. I have never been hung up on the phone. This place is very unprofessional. the word needs to get out not to use this placeDesired Settlement: refund the mistaken payment it is only $66. They refuse to fix anything.
Review: I purchased a Movado watch from [redacted] in December 2013. I had a promotional offer of no interest for 12 months. I paid the watch off in October of 2014 with a final payment of $400. On March 30, the person that I live with told me that I received mail from TD Retail as I was working out of town in [redacted]. I thought it was junk mail, but last week after returning back to California found out I received a letter stating that I now owed $256.01. I thought it was a mistake on their part but contacted them anyway. I spoke to a man named [redacted] who told me I was 2 months late on my last payment. I told him that he was mistaken and that there was no way. He put me on how and came back to say that I was a day late and that there was a $10 late charge. He proceeded to say that since I did not call them that the late charge accrued the finance charges and interest and I now owed $293. I asked to speak to a Supervisor and was transferred to [redacted]. I explained my situation to her. She was very rude and condescending. I said to her that I did not like the tone in which she was speaking with me and reminded her that I am the customer. She changed her tone and said that because I ignored the $10 late charge that I now owed $293 in finance charges and late fees. I explained that was totally unreasonable and that I had not received any bills. She said that they emailed them to me. It turns out the email was sent to an account I rarely every use anymore. She said the best she could do is waive some of the fees as long as I paid $105 right now. I paid it but feel that I should not have had to pay anything because this account was paid off in October, 2 months prior to the promotional period expiration. I was pressured into paying even the $105 because it had to be paid at that moment and because that ding has a bad mark on my credit.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for the $105 that I had to pay and to have my credit cleared free from this mark of delinquency. I feel as they waited to tell me the payment was a day late so that they could bill me for the deferred interest. It does not make any sense that I would owe $293 after paying the account in full all over what they say was a one day $10 late fee therefore the account was not considered paid off.

Response:
customer left a remianing balance of $10 after making his payment on 11/11/2014, because the balance on the account was not paid in full by the promo expiration date, deferred interest posted to the account in the amount of $208.15. The customer received emailed alerts notifying him of statements for this account and he negated to review the statements. Balance on the account is valid. As a courtsey, we agreed to accept $105 as a payment in full for this account and agreed to remove the derogatory reporting fromt he credit bureaus. The customer is not owed a refund for the $105 he already paid.
Review: I have a credit account for[redacted] Furniture through TD Retail Card Services. I have three balances of deferred interest with payments each with different due dates. The balances and due dates as of my billing statement dated 1/13/2014 read as follows: $264.60 promotional balance due by 2/9/14, $1597.85 promotional balance due by 9/9/14, and $1485.20 promotional balance due by 12/9/14. A check was sent in to pay off the balance of $264.60 in January and the check was cashed before the due date and applied to the account. However, I have been charged interest of $49.37 on this account. When I called and questioned TD and the[redacted] Furniture store they have told me that is the way their billing works and the $264.60 was applied to each of the three balances and not just the balance due by 2/9/14. So in other words, the intention is to mislead the consumer and trap them into paying unnecessary interest. This is not the first time I have had this type of account with retailers. In all other cases, when the payment that shows "promotional balance due by" is sent in before the due date there is no interest charge. In addition, I have read the back of the billing statement and the information under "How to avoid paying interest on purchases using my card " reads: "The bank will not impose an interest charge on purchases that are added to my account balance if, each month it receives payment in full of the new balance shown on the statement on the payment due date." I have complied with what was explained to me at the time of purchase and am being charged interest that I am not obligated to pay.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the erroneous interest charge of $49.37 removed from my account.

Dear Ms.[redacted]:
This letter is in response to the above referenced complaint with the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) in regards to[redacted],[redacted] credit card account issued by TD Bank NA. TD Bank appreciates: the opportunity to assist with this matter.
Review: This is in regards to their paperless email statements and their online account services. This is one of 2 businesses associated with this complaint: Shoppers Charge Accounts Co and [redacted].
Signing up for paperless statements evidently yields the following email every month:
Dear (name),
Your T[redacted] statement is now available. To view your statement online, or to change the alerts that you have chosen for this account, please visit [redacted]/.
Thank you,
[redacted] Customer Service
They send this email because I have a credit card with Design Within Reach and evidently these people are somehow associated with them. I don't know how it works.
This problem involves that email and that website ([redacted]).
Firstly, visiting that website: [redacted]/ causes all major web browsers to throw a security exception because their [redacted] certificate is invalid. [redacted] error specifically states that
"Attackers might be trying to steal your information from [redacted] (for example passwords, messages or credit cards)"
[redacted] services / shoppers charge accounts co are/is a credit card / financial services company. Their official paperless emails, direct to a website that is unsafe.
That's huge.
The credit card does not have a website listed on it where you can access your account online.
So, that looks a lot like a scam; it isn't, but it looks like it. So initially I disregarded these emails.
I don't know how I was signed up for paperless billing in the first place, actually.
I received a letter in the mail saying that my account is passed due, and that they have tried to contact me by telephone, so they sent this to credit bureau.
They may be referring to the calls I get at 7am cst (i live in chicago) from an 800 number that I answered once and told them they were calling me at 7am and to call me back later (they didn't).Desired Settlement: They need to undo whatever they've submitted to the credit bureau and they NEED<< to fix their website's security certificate so I can pay my bill without the possibility of my financial information being stolen in the process.
The reason I haven't been paying them is because all communications from them look and act like a scam.
The only reason I know about their website and paperless statements at all is because I at some point got curious as to why I hadn't received a statement from them and about a month ago I called the number on the back of my card. The lady told me I was enrolled in paperless statements and to check my spam box. I checked it and discovered that message that looks and acts like spam.
I paid the past due amount just now in spite of the fact that, according to [redacted] and [redacted], that I was putting my credit card / passwords / stuff at risk of being stolen by attackers.
I shouldn't be penalized for their web administrators' incompetence.
Review: This company charged me a late fee that should never have been charged. I called and told them that until they took the incorrect late fee off, I would not pay and they needed to credit my account. They also told me to call back and they would take care of the late fee that would additionally accrue because of this billing error. Note, I had paid the balance in FULL and I wanted to close the account before they sent me the 1st late fee. I didn't pay until they corrected it, which gave me another $35 late fee just as they said it would. When I called them back, as they had instructed, they said they had no notes on the account and that I had to pay the original late fee of $35 and the new late fee of $35. I said NO WAY. At that point they transferred me to Account Services because the people I was dealing said they couldn't reverse the fees. When I call their number: ###-###-#### THEY NEVER ANSWER. It is a recording that repeats over and over and over. I finally buckled and paid the 2nd late fee of $35 and wrote them a letter of complaint. They credited the $35 and they sent me a statement of $0 said they would close the account. I got another bill today for $70. This has been going on for 7 months. I was very clear when I paid the bogus late fee to close the account. There is no way I am paying them another penny. Ever.Desired Settlement: Write off the false late charges of $70 and CLOSE THE ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY.

Response:
The late fees in question have been refund/ reversed today. The balance on the account is reflecting $0 as of today. a balance verification letter is being mailed to the customer. Additionally, the account has been closed.
Review: I made promotional purchases from Diamonds International that were serviced by TD Retail Card Services. The first purchase was 6 months no interest. The second purchase was 12 months no interest. Before the expiration of the 6 month promotional period, I contacted TD Retail Card Services to verify the outstanding payment that needed to be made to satisfy the promotional agreement and avoid finance charges. The TD Retail representative advised me and I made the payment in the amount I was told by the csr. Upon receipt of my next statement I saw that a small portion of the payment was applied to the other promotional account and I was charged the full finance charges, over $500 for the 6 month account. I feel TD Retail Services purposely misled me so they could charge extra finance charges.Desired Settlement: I think TD Retail Card Services should refund the finance charge in full. They should also train their csr's to provide accurate information regarding their policies, programs and payment allocation methods.

his letter is in response to the above referenced complaint with the Revdex.com in regards to Robert [redacted]’s Diamonds International credit card account issued by TD Bank NA. TD Bank appreciates the opportunity to assist with this matter.
After careful review of Mr. [redacted]‘s account we have confirmed that as of 07/26/2013 the balance for
Promotional Plan 91626 was $3,215.00 and was set to expire on 08/22/2013. In order to avoid the
accrued interest charges a payment for expiring plan balance as well as the minimum payments due for the other two Promotional Plans had to be received by 08/22/2013; $3,422.00. Since the payment received on 08/13/2013 was for $3,215.00 the expiring Promotional Plan was not paid in full.
Please be advised that on 08/13/2013 the Customer Service Representative noted that Mr. [redacted] inquired on the balance of the expiring plan, not the total amount due to avoid paying the accrued interest charges. However, as a valued TD Bank Customer, interest charges in the amount of $529.41 have been reversed. The adjustment will be reflected on the next billing statement.
The current balance on the account as of 12/04/2013 is $3,900.00. A minimum payment of $167.00 is due by 12/21/2013.
If you have any questions in regards to this matter, you may contact me at ###-###-####, extension 3116.

RE: [redacted]
Account # [redacted]
To Whom It May Concern:
My wife was able to secure a line of credit to purchase me a nice watch from [redacted] Jewelers back in June 2013 for my 40th birthday. After she gave it to me, she told me that they offered her 24 months deferred interest due to the price of the watch. I told her to be sure the watch was paid off before the 24 months as if it was deferred, she does not have a good understanding of how credit works, so I made sure I let her know this.
After finding out the deferred interest was only 12 months, I noticed the 28.99% interest rate which was charged from the date of purchase. Even though, there was an 8.99% option available.
While what they did might be legal, does anyone think some of this could be immoral?
I know that if she knew it was 12 months, she would have taken the 8.99% option. I believe the watch was close to $3,000. My thinking is interest on $3,000 for 24 months at 8.99% is about $290. That same interest at 28.99% over 24 months would accrue to $988.75. Who would pay an extra $700? I would like an adjustment to the 8.99% rate. I am hoping this misunderstanding can be resolved and plan to pay off the full balance once this is done.
Thank You,
[redacted] and Carl [redacted] – [redacted] or ###-###-####
Carl – [redacted] or ###-###-#### – preferred contact
Our home number is ###-###-####Desired Settlement: I would like an adjustment at the 8.99% which was available at the time of purchase if the 24 month deferred interest was not available. I would like this adjustment to be retroactive to the date of purchase to reduce the interest charges which have accrued since adding the interest.

Regards,
Review: I spoke to someone in the accounts department in early November and authorized a withdrawal of $250 on November 30th. However, the company took out the payment on the 27th of November 2015 instead of the authorized date. This has happened to us before, so I even stressed that taking it out early was not acceptable. The man said that he would lose his job if this happened, so of course they would honor the date we told them. However, the amount was withdrawn early on a date we did not authorize, which caused other checks to bounce. This is not acceptable with us and should be illegal, if it not already.Desired Settlement: The amount should be restored for the checks that bounced and the person who did this should be transferred or let go for this type of behavior. The customer's agreement should be honored.
