I took my vehicle which is a Suzuki Grand Vitara to Tanner TransmissionsThe check engine light was on and an ESP light would come onWhen the ESP light came on my car would take a long time to accelerateI was told by a few mechanics it was an issue with the transmission and would have to take it to a transmission specialist I spoke with an employee named Nate who was the one working on my carHe said they would have to order and replace the TCM (transmission control module) and the shift solenoidHe said it would take about 6-days for the parts to come in and then to install them it would only take a few hoursHe asked me to pay in advance for the TCM which was $I paid that with my credit card on July Over a week went by and I had not heard from Nate or anyone else at Tanner Transmissions I waited a few more days and called them simply to check on the status of my car and get an estimated time frame of when I could expect my car backI

I took my car in to have the transmission replacedI have worked on my car ever since I have owned it and I have managed to get 312k miles out of it on MY workI did not have the time to replace/rebuild my transmission this time so I called around and felt like I could trust This business to properly fix my transmissionI took in the car and they said my transmission needed replacement so they found a used transmission and installed it into my car When I went to pick up my car there were several things wrongFirst, the brakes were spongy and not applying pressure properly, the clutch felt extremely loose, the clip on the connector for my mass airflow sensor was freshly torn and damaged, but most importantly my turbo was not working properly so my car maxed out at 45MPHWhen I took the car back the mechanic denied all responsibility and stated my car had these problems before I brought it inI could not believe how this little boy instantly started acting like a rude jerk and

I took a truck in to have the clutch looked at/replaced I was told the job would take 1-days max and given a written estimate After the agreed upon days I called to check in on the truck having not received any updates They didn't even start working on the truck for 3-days The total time it took to get my truck back was full days (I had explained several times to the manager that every day the truck was out of commission was costing me work.) The main reason I took the truck to Tanner Transmission was because they had promised a 1-day turn around time When I picked up the truck a full days after the initially promised completion date, that afternoon the clutch they replaced was still having issues I took it back and they said that air just needed to bleed out of the line and to let it sit over the weekend, which I did On Monday the issue was still a major problem I took back in and was told they couldn't look at it until later that day I called late

In April of 2015 I was told by Bob I could bring my accord down for him to look at and he would tell me what was wrong for free. I told him about my circumstances and he said I could leave it with him for as long as I want. Bob informed me my transmission was shot and I should not drive it under no circumstances or it would make it worse. Bob told me his cost was $2500 to repair. I told him I had to think about it. I spoke with Bob again and he said he would use the Accord as trade for work on another car. we went back and forth on this and the last thing Bob said was if I pay for the repairs the storage is free. On February 1st, 2016 I called BOB again and let him know I needed an amount for Storage fees, he said well I 'll cut the storage fees in half for you and charge you $4000.00. Or he said if I give him the title he will waive all fees. Next thing I know on 2/23 BOB hands over my car to my lien company without filed repo for only $ 200.00. Monday 2/8/about 9:am: We had experiencing transmission problems with our Lexus RXand I saw Tanner Transmission advertising "free diagnosis" online http://www.tannertransmissions.com/, so I called and spoke with "Jimmy"He said they could take a look at it that day if I brought it down, so I did The next day, Jimmy called and gave me a list observations and clues to what could be wrong with the transmission, but offered no definitive "diagnosis"He said they could only know for certain if they removed the transmission and dissassebled it- for $plus taxHe reassured me that this amount would go towards any repairs/rebuild they performedI knew something was wrong with the transmission and possibly could need a completed rebuild, so I asked Jimmy, "what is my worst case scenario ($$) if it needs a complete rebuild" and he replied "about $3,000"Since this figure was close to what I had seen online to rebuild this Lexus transmission, I agreed to allow them to rem

I was having transmission problems and was calling around to get prices and spoke to manager at Tanner and was told we would be under the $price and would have your car to you in days We decided to take our car there based on the information received After taking apart the transmission the price is now $more and a week later my car is still not ready This is the perfect example of bait and switch We are stuck dealing with this I will NEVER recommend this business or ever do business with them again!

Horrible service had a trans rebuilt for on my dodge threw these rip offs was back at the shop times after trans rebuild was supposed to have life time warranty now reverse is out and they wont back the warranty because I did not make it in for the annual inspection becase truck had ben parked for months could have bought trannys from autozone for 4000$ would not recommend these guys to my worst enemy lost my service for life

I paid Tanner Transmissions to tow my truck to their shop in Ogden Utah on February I was told they would give me a quote whenever they found the issue in the transmissionI received a phone call a day later and was quoted $(which is outrageous for a standard transmission rebuild in the first place)I asked why not put a new transmission in for cheaper and they told me to go with the rebuild cause it would be bulletproof when complete(I paid for a new transmission for the same type of vehicle at a cheaper price from these guys a couple years back) So instead of paying them for labor to take it out and check it also to get in towed somewhere else I decided to let them rebuild itSince then they have taken my transmission out separate times now (as far as I know) and the only reason I know this is because I am calling them every so often to find out what is going on, and every time its the same answer "i'll call you whenever I hear something" These guys have called mayb

Tanner Transmissions in Draper is a great service center! We were having a reoccurring issue with our transmission over a month period We had multiple mechanics/repair shops attempt to find the problem, each were unsuccessful Tanner Transmission diagnosed the problem and competed the repairThey were courteous, professional and responsive We are 100% satisfied!

Payed 5K for a complete transmission rebuild; all bearings, all seals, and brand new clutchAbsolutely everything in the transmission was brand newTransmission catastrophically failed at 22K miles and Jim said my warranty was invalid because I did not do a power flushI brought the car back at separate times and got the green light from JimI bought is back twice and he did not sign off on my warranty and now Im out a car and 5KHe did not even have my paperworkI looked in my car file and brought him my warranty paperwork and he photocopied itThere is zero communication and zero follow through

Very poor unprofessional customer serviceTanner Transmission has took a quarterA QUARTER !!! of the year to fix my vehicleAnd is still not fixed rightThat's right I haven't seen my car in a quarter of a yearPlease!!! I highly recommendDo not go through Tanner Transmission to get your vehicle fixedBecause it will never get fixedTanner Transmission are not professional transmission techniciansThey don't care about you, your family or your vehicleThey just care about putting cheap parts in your car so you'll come back and spend more money to get it fixedThey're all about making quick cashWhen they make a mistake they don't admit itThey always have excusesThey don't man up and own up to realize they have made a mistakeIf I could rate review these guys and put them at negative - STAR it would be all five negative stars for Tanner Transmission

Took my car into Tanner Transmission in DraperThey rebuilt my transmissionWhen I picked my car up it was deadThey jumped it and we got a new batteryNo engine pulled up on my car before they got ahold of itMy dash board lights won't turn off and my car keeps dyingTook it back and now have codes that I didn't have beforeHum tanner is taking no responsibility and has had my car since the sixth of SeptemberHe will not give me information and continues to dodge questionsI feel this is fraud and he caused more problems fixing my transmissionI took it to two other mechanics and no codes pop up and had no engine problemsI paid k
