The trash guys have thrown away multiple of my personal trash cans. They claim they only threw 2 away and I had 5 and now all of them are gone. I watched them throw them away but I was inside and not able to stop them in time. They did this over the course of 3 weeks I have called their supervisor claims his people only threw 2 away when it was more than 2. I have pictures of all my cans at the road but 1 (was being used in garage that day) they was 3 cans with wheels and rollers and 2 standard cans. They offered to only replace 1 can after I supply the proof of purchase.
So they admit to tossing 2 they tossed 5 I called after they tossed them they never called back I called back a week later and they finally told me they wasnt going to do anything till I decided I wanted to talk to a manager now they are saying they will replace 1 of 5. Their supervisor or employee is lying and saying they only threw two away and I got photos of my cans... I want my cans back that they stole/destroyed
I feel like they threw them away in anger because I put very excessive trash at the curb 2 weeks In a row (which I payed for) just not right.

We are supposed to get our trash collected on a weekly basis. It is a rare occurrence that it happens twice in a row. The driver consistently has issues why the garbage will not be picked up. Last week was the final straw. A photo showing why he "could not pick up the trash" was sent to us saying he could not complete his task. The truck wasn't within 50' of where our dumpster was placed. We have been very accommodating with Rumpke in the past by shifting the dumpster around and moving it to meet their needs but it is getting ridiculous. This would not be that big of a deal except we literally have garbage laying around our parking lot because we cannot seem to get caught up on it. Our landlord is even threatening to charge us clean up on the property. On top of all this we have been getting charged as well. When I spoke to my customer service manager, Mary S, she was completely unhelpful and would do nothing except tell me there was nothing she could do until our next pick up date.

According to our records, we were unable to perform service at this location on four occasions because the dumpster was blocked (April 18, 2018; May 16, 2018; June 20, 2018; and July 18, 2018). As referenced in Mr. D’ complaint, a pickup truck was parked across from the dumpster on July 18, and it prevented our truck – which measures nearly 40 feet in length – from safely maneuvering in the parking lot to service the container.We have reviewed this situation extensively with our team. Unfortunately, we are unable to adjust the time of collection for this customer, as that would require changing the entire route of more than 60 stops. However, we would like to offer the following alternatives as possible resolutions:Rumpke will exchange the current 8-yard dumpster with a 4-yard dumpster on casters, and service the container two times per week. This offers the same weekly capacity, and our driver would be able to move the container at the time of service if needed. Rumpke will work with the customer to select a different location for the dumpster that is less likely to be blocked.Rumpke will collaborate with the customer to identify ways to communicate with frequent visitors of the site who may be blocking the container.We welcome a chance to speak with Mr. D about this matter. I want Mark, the area "manager," to come by our store and outline the possibilities for us to better choose rather than have some emails through the Revdex.com that are worthless because it is a lot of talk about how something will get done but absolutely no follow through on their part. No phone call, no second visit, nothing. I just had someone named Mark randomly stop by with no appointment. I have now resolved to have my employees drop the dumspter halfway blocking access to the parking lot because that seems to be the only way collection seems to get done. If they want to give me half off my payment for a month I will be happy to consider this resolved, though because the only reason garbage was not collected was sheer laziness on their driver's part.

It has been an ongoing issue with this company about not receiving invoices or they do not place phone calls. I received a letter a week and a half ago about a bill being past due which I never received an initial bill for. The following day I have a door hanger stating that they were there to pick up our trash cans. I work during the day so calling them during regular business hours can be an issue. I always use the online payment system which the recently introduced a new one. Nothing has been ported over you have to create a completely new account. There is a spot to make a one time payment so I paid my past due balance. Five days later they pick up my trash can. I try calling and they are closed and then two days later I receive another door hanger that they are going to pick up my recycling bin. I finally am able to get ahold of someone and am told that I have to pay the next three months in advance even though I am showing a zero balance on my account and that I have to pay a $2.95 convenience fee because at this point I can’t make a payment online that would be free because I have a ZERO dollar balance. Then I am told that I will have to pay an additional $20 to have my can delivered back to me. Nothing when I signed up for service stated this and I explained that I paid my entire bill with nothing left due and they picked up the trash cans. Now I have finally received a bill in my email and it shows I owe an additional $37?!

Below is a detailed summary of the actions Rumpke has noted on Mr.’s account:
February 8, 2018 – Electronic bill sent for the billing period March, April and May for $54.00.
March 27, 2018 – Reminder letter was sent to his address with the balance due.
April 10, 2018 – Reminder phone call was made with the balance due.
April 16, 2018 – A promise to pay the bill by April 26, 2018 was made by the customer.
April 19, 2018 – Final demand notice was mailed to his address.
May 17, 2018 – Reminder phone call was made with the balance due.
May 30, 2018 – Service interruption scheduled for June 1, 2018.
July 9, 2018 – Payment of $54.00 posted to the account.
July 11, 2018 – Trash carts were removed from the property.
According to our records Mr.’s account was scheduled for interruption for the past due balance on June 1, 2018. Typically, when an account is interrupted for non-payment, Rumpke collects the past due balance and the next three months in advance.
Rumpke takes great pride in our service, and we work to correct issues quickly. On July 18, 2018, Rumpke’s Area Customer Service Manager Jenny S called Mr. and left voice message, attempting to confirm the accuracy of his address to ensure that our notifications are delivered as scheduled. As of July 20, 2018 at 4:30 p.m., we have not received a return phone call.
Upon review, we recognize that the Rumpke trash carts at Mr.’s address were inadvertently removed two days after payment was made. As a result, we have waived the re-delivery fee for the cart.
We appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter. We hope to hear from Mr *** to avoid future concerns.

trash service is covered by condo association but they do not provide recycling. I personally called and paid for recycling Feb 28. Bin was received the following week. Early weeks, no recycling was picked up and I brought it back to the garage to try again the following week. Maybe around the beginning of April, they started picking up, and even did so without my having to call or several weeks in a row!! Then May came and they started missing again. By the time we got to June, enough was enough and I started calling. Even with repeated calls, and supposed reminders from customer service before and after the run, the recycling driver got later and later or didn't come at all. They tell me to leave the bin out for add'l 24-48 hours for the truck to return. That would cover Sat/Sun. So when it doesn't happen and I call again on Monday, 'no, they meant business hours.' Rounds later and I finally ask to cancel service. They will issue a refund 'immediately after confirming the pickup of the bin, in 12-14 business days.' Pickups in my area on Mondays. Was not picked up. Called and was told again to leave it out so they could pick up the next day, and the rep would call at 9am Tues to confirm. No pickup, no call. I called and this time was told the rep never should have told me that! They said they would then have the regular driver pickup during rounds Thursday. Bin was not picked up. Left voice message and facebook comments Thursday. No response. Same on Friday, and still no response. As far as I can tell at this point, they took my money, but have no intention of either providing the service or the refund.

Ms. called our office to start recycling service on February 28, 2018. The service was scheduled to begin on March 8, 2018. It appears the service began with no issues and in May 2018 there were repeated service issues as she indicated in her complaint. Ms. gave us ample time to correct the issues, and we failed to do so.
Rumpke takes great pride in our service, and we work to correct issues quickly. We have credited back all the recycling service charges since March 2018, in the amount of $45.00. The check should arrive by mail within the next few weeks. We left Ms. a voice message to coordinate the removal of the recycling equipment. We have it on schedule to remove this week.
We value Ms.’s business and hope to resolve this matter in a timely manner.

I received and returned a call from Rumpke last Tuesday. They did manage to get the bin picked up that afternoon. Instead of bringing a refund check with them as requested (even if it meant scheduling pickup for another day), I was told the check had been requested (rushed) and was to be mailed to me Thursday. I have waited to respond here until I had an idea of whether the check was really 'in the mail' or not. No refund received Friday, Saturday, Monday, or today.

On Tuesday June 26 2018 Rumpke picked up our trash from our home location during the evening. The next morning we found that Rumpke had broken the plastic molding that holds the wheel axle off the bottom of our purchased Rumpke garbage can, totaly breaking off the left wheel from the axle. Either Rumpke ran over our trash container or they slammed the trash can down so hard that it broke the axle, wheels and plastic bottom. We purchased this trash container from this company and have used them for over 40 years. We called Rumpke this week but got the standard run around from their phone person. We have pictures of the damage Rumpke did to our property since we bought and now own this trash container.

Ms. called our office on June 28 to alert us to the fact that her personal trash cart was damaged. According to our records, she purchased the cart from Rumpke on December 17, 2008. We inform customers at the time of purchase that the cart does not come with any replacement warranty and all repairs are at the owner’s expense.
In our experience, these carts withstand many years of usage, but they will weaken over the course of time from repeated use. For background, Rumpke trucks use a mechanical lift system to hoist and empty this type of cart and then lower the cart back to the ground.
As a resolution to this matter, we have entered a repair order into our system. A Rumpke representative will visit Ms.’s residence in the coming days and attempt to repair the existing cart at no charge. If the repair does not work, we will contact Mr. directly about other options.
We value Ms.’s business and hope to resolve this matter in a timely manner. Thank you.

Very disappointed in Rumpke Trash Company!! My trash wasn't picked up and when I called them they said it was because my trash was in a "City of ***" tote (city name was not showing on tote). The can was here when I moved here and they've been picking it up since I moved here in Feb. The rep said they had left notices on my trash can several times informing me that it was in an improper tote. That is a big lie!! So instead of informing me, they just refused to pick it up and also refused to credit my account even though I had no idea that there was a problem!! If they had truly informed me, I would have replaced it with a different trash can. Bad business practices. Guess I'll be searching for another trash company. I'm canceling my service with them today!!

After our our trash was not picked up this week, I contacted Rumpke to find out why. They informed me that our service had been canceled due to non payment. Since our account is set up on autopay, I inquired on how this was possible. The customer service rep told me that they had switched management companies for their billing, and our information apparently never transfered. They said they sent us an email informing us of both the switch and our deliquency. My wife and I searched our inboxes and spam folders, and no Rumke generated emails were found. I inquired and confirmed that they have the correct email and phone numbers on file. We immediately paid our bill, and asked them to send somebody to pick up our trash (we were stuck in the hopspital and could not remove the garbage from our yard) as it was their mess up, but they refused as this is not their policy. They also charged us a service charge for making a phone payment, and told us it is not possible to waive this fee. The representative that took payment said she sent a confirmation email to both of us, but neither of us have recieved this email. We now have spots in the yard from trash containers sitting for multiple days, and will have to pay a lawn care company to make repairs. We also have recieved complaints from fellow residents for garbage sitting at roadside. In my opinion, this is not the actions of an honest and reputable business.

As background, Rumpke launched a new online and phone payment system powered by *** on March 1, 2018. Prior to the new system, Rumpke worked with a program called *** for payment processing. Our records indicate that Mr.’s account was not set up for recurring payments through ***. After careful review, there were not any previous payments on his account transmitted through the *** system. Therefore, Rumpke’s switch to the *** system would not have affected his account.
A brief account history shows the following payments:
May 2, 2017 – check mailed to Rumpke’s office
September 12, 2017 – *** over the phone
January 15, 2018 – *** over the phone
As stated in the complaint, service at Avian Way was interrupted for non-payment, effective June 5, 2018. Rumpke made several attempts to contact Mr. prior to service interruption. We mailed a balance statement on February 13, 2018. Reminder calls were made on April 20 and May 22, 2018 to alert Mr. of the balance due on the account
Mr.’s service day is Tuesday, and the most recent payment was not processed to restore service to the account until Friday, June 8, 2018. At that time, Rumpke was not in his area and unable to provide service until his next service day of Tuesday, June 12, 2018.
After review and consideration of these circumstances, we do not believe our company is liable for the lawn repair settlement request.

Rumpke Waste has missed picking up my trash/Waste 3 times since taking over for Southern Ohio Disposal (i.e. they have picked up trash only 2 time in the past month) even though I have placed repeated calls asking them to pick up the trash. Though their customer service representatives are courteous, they seem to be unable to provide the service that has been paid for.

Have contacted this company about trash removal for the past four weeks with trash still not removed. Every day is a different story and a different promise. This company bought Southern Ohio Disposal and has not fulfilled their obligations of trash removal since May 4 even though the service was pre-paid. We are not in violation with the City of *** for excessive trash piled up along a city street.

4 weeks and no trash pickup. I call they say they are coming and don't. I call daily and get the same thing. "We are contacting dispatch to have them come back and pick you up." Done with this trash.
My husband and I have called multiple times we even spoke to a manager and they still won’t resolve the problem. They have not picked up our trash since May 3rd, 2018 and they sent me a bill for the month of May but they only came one week. They keep saying they are coming and every week the driver drives past my dumpster and does not take any of the garbage. I just want them to be honest about the month they did not get our trash and start picking up our trash. I’ve called and left messages with customer service giving them every phone number I have and they won’t call me back.

I have had nothing but disappointment with Rumpke's service. For six weeks, I have had to call to ask them to come get my yard waste. I have confirmed multiple times the scheduled day they are supposed to arrive, have confirmed multiple times that my account is up to date, they have my correct address, and my bill has been paid, and I have confirmed multiple times that yard waste pick up is a part of my service. Yet every week, they do not come to get it. I can't get a supervisor on the phone, the customer service folks always say that there is no supervisor is available, and that I will receive a call within 24-hours, which has yet to happen. I am not sure what else to do. I will give them one more chance before I submit a formal complaint.
I was previously a customer of Southern Ohio Disposal Trash Service when Southern Disposal abruptly sold their business to Rumpke Trash Service who was suppose to take over our route. I then receive a letter a week later in the mail from Southern Ohio Disposal stating that Rumpke would not be taking over the route n I would need to find a new trash service. My complaint is that I had paid Southern Ohio Disposal 3 months in advance which is a total of 60.00. I received 1 month service after that but am due a refund for the remaining 2 months a total of 40.00. I called the number to Southern Ohio Disposal but it automatically calls into Rumpke who states they have no paperwork from Southern Ohio about my account and since Rumpke is not going to provide trash service in my area they are unable to refund my 40.00 and told me I would need to contact Southern Ohio. I informed Rumpke that when I call Southern Ohio it automatically rings into them. Southern Ohio states in their last notification to me that they had sold all assets to Rumpke so I feel Rumpke should stand up and pay back peoples refunds due them. Rumpke acquired certain assets from Southern Ohio Disposal, but not all of them.
The area that *** lives in is an area that Rumpke did not acquire assets for through the court system receivership sale.
We suggest that it may benefit the consumer to write a letter to Southern Ohio Disposal at the Logan, Ohio address for their offices. The phones are forwarded to Rumpke to help those customers that we did take on.

We certainly understand the frustration caused by this matter for ***. We recommend contacting Intercept Management Corp of Columbus, Ohio. As we understand, this firm was involved during the court process with Southern Ohio Disposal.
As indicated in our initial response, when Rumpke purchased certain assets from Southern Ohio Disposal, service at ***’ location was not included in the agreement.

Rumpke bought out southern Ohio disposal (SOD).SOD transferred any payments they had received to rumpke. We received a letter signed by Andrew Rumpke stating “seamless transition with uninterruped service for all of our customers”. Daily calls to rumpke was meet with lies of your trash will be picked up today to rude we will just cancel your service. It has now been 16 days and no service. Trash is piling up and smelling horrific. Rumpke trucks drive by our homes daily, sometimes 2 to 3 times a day and never picks up any trash. Request to speak to management is denied.

I highly do not recommend Rumpke. We have had Rumpke service for 3 1/2 months for garbage and recycling. Our recycling is supposed to be picked up every two weeks on Monday but it has only been picked up once on time and the rest have been 5-10 days late. We have had to call every day every single week to get them to come pick up the recycling which is very frustrating and terrible service since we are paying for this service. Their garbage collection has been fine.
On several occasions we don't get our trash picked up. We pay our bill on time. This is becoming a habit. We are being charged for a service we are not always getting an they say they will comp our bill but never do. And continue to repeat this multiple times a year. This is not an isolated incident. It's becoming habitual. I have complained Every time an I do have the emails to prove it.. The constant lies about picking up our trash and not doing it. Is getting old. And why do they charge a gas sur charge when they are not even using gas because they are not picking up trash. I want answers not lies or attitude.

On 4/6/18, 4/13/18, 4/27/18 my trash was missed from pickup. This repeated oversight is upsetting. I've called in on numerous times and have been reassured that the problem has been resolved and will not reoccur... Though, somehow, this turns out to be untrue. I've spoken with Lynn, Joia, Stephanie, Laura/Laurie, and Joetta regarding this concern. I've received insincere apologies and a crappy $5 credit to my account for the trouble. On 4/13/18, I heard Stephanie speaking in an unprofessional manner about me to her co-workers when she was unaware that our call had not yet been disconnected, when I called back in to complain of this, Joia answered the phone, placed me on hold, then hung up on me as though she didn't want to be part of tattling on her co-worker. Stephanie picked up when I called back and when I asked to speak to her superior regarding the comments I heard her say about me, she denied the comments and claimed her superior was unavailable. Moments later, Stephanie called back, pretending to be her own manager though I recognized her deep, smoker's voice and knew that she was not who she called and identified herself to be. She denied it if course and promised to have someone contact me. That person never did, so I called back in later in the afternoon and spoke with Laurie(?) who claimed that she'd look into my complaints and would contact me with her findings. Of course she never got back with me. According to Joetta on 4/27 around 2pm, she was having a driver come back out today to pick up the missed trash, but as of 730pm 4/27/18, my trash is still at the curb, which is an embarrassing shame, especially since I have a corner lot on a busy street in our subdivision. When my trash was missed on FRIDAY 4/6, it sat on the curb until TUESDAY 4/10 before anyone came back out to get it!! The service with rumpke is awful, both from the drivers who are supposed to be picking my trash as well as the office staff who I've spoken with in trying to resolve my continuous service issue. I am greatly disappointed and angered that since my trash pickup day is on Fridays, I'm stuck once again for the ENTIRE weekend no trash service and most likely won't have this picked up until not Monday, but TUESDAY of next week as usual when they do this...

First and foremost, I want to sincerely apologize for the frustration we have caused Ms.. We appreciate the opportunity to address the issue. We reached out to Ms. regarding her customer service experience and service issues.
We promised friendly, reliable service, and in this case, it appears we have failed. Rumpke’s operation team has reviewed the issue to determine the reason for the failure to collect Ms. waste on the scheduled day. Ms. owns a competitor’s waste can and alternates this with her Rumpke can on service days. We have offered another Rumpke waste cart at no charge to Ms. for use in place of the competitor’s can. At this point, Ms. has declined the use of the additional cart. Additionally, we have credited one month of service to Ms. William’s account for the missed service in April.
Rumpke apologizes that the customer service experience did not meet Ms.’ expectations nor ours. As discussed with Ms., calls are recorded for quality assurance and are used for staff coaching/development. We have listened to each call and taken appropriate action.

I have been inconvenienced on numerous occasions within the month of April.
I do not feel that Rumpke tried to meet me even halfway in honoring the desired resolution thatI
outlined within my complaint.
For this, I am disappointed, as their neglect in accommodating my requests communicates to me the notion that I am not valued as a customer.
I have been more than fair and patient with them, and expect an over the top manner in which they display their sincere apology and intent to make things right. offering a free trash can and a small credit simply does not communicate that. I do not feel that I am bring unreasonable in my requests, and in order to satisfy a client gripe. I am saddened that they are refusing to do this.

I get told I'm on a Wednesday pick up when they pick up trash on monday.they destroyed my trash cans which they don't have to do anything about, so I purchased a new trash can that they picked up the first week I set it out.last week they tagged it saying it's to big to be picked which it is smaller than the other trash car I set out and I'm told I'm bag only pick up.
I spoke to your wife today. We have agreed to loan you a Rumpke 95 gal cart at no charge for as long as we have the Rumpke contract. I hope this is acceptable to you as well.

I've only had service with Rumpke for 10 months and have had nothing but terrible service since day 1. They continually miss services and then refuse to pick up trash for days at a time. I've had no less than 6 missed collection appointments and have heard literally every excuse possible ranging from boldly being called a liar about not having it at the curb on time all the way to the route driver had my address mysteriously changed to court and not street causing them to skip it. WORST SERVICES POSSIBLE!
