Our payment processor works with credit card companies to automatically update expired cards in order to prevent service interruptions. This is how we were able to charge Lindsay's most up-to-date credit card. Since Lindsay's Blue Apron account was still active, the scheduled charge for the week’s...

Blue Apron delivery was successfully processed. As stated in our FAQ, to cancel an account, the customer should contact our Customer Experience team at [redacted], and we’ll send you an email with instructions on how to complete the cancellation process. Per Lindsay's request, I've refunded the charge incurred for the delivery that arrived on 6/**/2017. That refund may take 5-7 business days to reflect in the bank statement.

shot. While this does not make up for charging me for the deliveries I expressly asked them not to deliver, I am satisfied with knowing I will no longer be charged for food I do not want. I do not wish to pursue any further action on my account, however, I believe their business is designed to rope people into their subscription forever until someone goes to these lengths to cut ties with the company.  I can attest to the fact that their multi-step process to cancel the subscription that ultimately ends in following a link to cancel, did no such thing. It wasn't until I contacted you, sent increasingly hateful emails, and canceled the credit card I used to open the account that I actually received confirmation from the company that my subscription was canceled. I am sure it is technically legal, but it is wildly unethical.
Sincerely,

I can not locate the previous I sent in regards to canceling the Blue Apron deliveries. Nevertheless, the e-mail I sent was answered by a long process of how to cancel the deliveries. Therefore, I remembered sending an e-mail telling them to cancel the deliveries and that I was not going to figure it out the long process. I want the response to be known that the company don't make it simple to cancel the deliveries permanently. You have to log on each week to cancel the delivery.

Hello. Blossom’s account was cancelled on 9/*/16. She had an order that was scheduled for delivery on 9/*/16, she thought this order was skipped in our system, however it was not. Our system indicates that on 8/**/16 Blossom skipped the order scheduled for 9/*/16 and on 8/**/16 she unskipped the...

order scheduled for 9/*/16. We require 6 days notice in order to skip upcoming orders. Customers are able to confirm when an order has been successfully skipped by view their delivery schedule and confirming that a red “x” is next to their delivery date. I’ve gone ahead and refunded Blossom for her 9/9 order. The order was shipped to her and we hope she was able to enjoy the food.

customer. Unless the customer completes this cancellation using the link provided, the subscription will remain active and weekly deliveries will continue per the subscription. The Customer Experience team is always available if any confusion occurs.    It appears that this account was not cancelled on the customer end, which is the account was manually cancelled by a Customer Experience agent when notified by customer on the day of the delivery. Since the final order had already shipped, it could not be stopped and a full refund was issued. If you have an other questions or concerns, please email [redacted].

With the free trial invitation, the cost of the entire first delivery is free. Following that first delivery, all accounts are enrolled into a weekly subscription to receive fresh ingredients and delicious recipes. At sign up above where Tim put in the credit card it clearly states, "Enter your...

billing information. Your first order will be free of charge. You will receive future deliveries at $59.94 per week. You can skip a week or cancel your account at any time with 6 days notice.” Tim’s first delivery which arrived on 8/* was free, and the charge he saw was for the second delivery, which arrived on 8/**. He wrote into our customer support, and we issued a refund on 8/**. He still was sent the box of food and hopefully enjoyed it.

We apologize that Sean's first order didn't arrive as expected, and understand the disappointment. We are investigating further with the shipper to see why the order wasn't delivered as it should have been. Sean was refunded for that order, and his promotional credit was reapplied to his account....

However, because we charge 4-5 days before an order, he had already been charged for his next delivery. Therefore, the promotion would have discounted his third order. Because of the confusion and disappointment surrounding this, Sean was refunded $59.94 for his second delivery, which is tracked as being delivered successfully to him and was hopefully enjoyed! The promotional credit remains on his account in case he would like to cook with us again in the future. The pricing is listed multiple times on our website: on our Pricing page [redacted] [redacted]

Hello, The promotion was for two free meals (or servings). Our 2-person plan has two meals per recipe ($9.99 per meal; total value $19.98) and 6 meals total....

Our family plan has four meals per recipe ($8.74 per meal; total value $17.48) and 8 meals total. Using your feedback, we’ve already worked with our Marketing team to improve explanations on our future promotions.  Amanda H[redacted] Customer Experience - Team Lead Blue Apron

While our system does show that [redacted] successfully skipped her July * and July ** orders, there is no record of [redacted] skipping her July ** order. When [redacted] reached out on July **, it was past the required * day notice to make changes to upcoming orders. At that point, there was no way...

for us to stop the order or intercept it, as it had already started the shipping process. However, we did issue a full refund for the charge on July **.

[redacted] signed up using a $125...

gift card. Upon signing up, Ann's total balance shown for the first delivery was $0, because the gift card was being applied. The 2-Recipe-Per-Week Family Plan is normally $71.92 per delivery, but since the gift card amount was greater than this amount, the balance shown was $0. If the gift card wouldn't have covered the whole price, [redacted] would've seen the difference as the amount owed. Our agents asked [redacted] multiple times if there was a different promotional offer they received aside from the gift card that would've qualified you for a free first delivery. The only promotion that we have at this time that covers a full week of meals is a free meal trial invitation. We offer the Free Meals Trial Invitation promotion as a thank you to our existing members, who enjoy Blue Apron and want to share fresh, delicious meals with friends and family. Existing members can send an invite to first time customers, which upon signing up would give them a complimentary week of meals. We searched Ann's email and name to see if [redacted] had received a free meal trial invitation, but couldn't find any invites that had been sent to Ann. If we had found one, we would've honored it. Furthermore, [redacted] sent us a snapshot of a different promotional offer they did receive through email. This promotional offer was for 2 free meals, which we honored and applied the $19.98 credit to Ann's Blue Apron account. If we can provide any other information, please let me know.
