They always have the parts I'm after and at good prices. The shipping rates are much more reasonable then some of the competitions prices. I've never once been disappointed by rock auto.

after placing many orders from them I can now say they stand above almost all internet online companies I do business with..was sorta hoping for an error so I could "test" that part..but so far it has been 100%

I needed a water pump for my old Jaguar. Tried Amazon, but after I paid for it they informed me I wouldn't get it for nearly a month. Canceled that order, and bought one supposedly in stock at a company called Autoplicity. Well they turned out to be total liars that use bait and switch tactics, don't stock anything, and make people wait forever before their item gets dropshipped from somewhere else. Canceled that order, and finally bought from RockAuto after wasting over a week messing with the other companies. RockAuto's website informed me on the listing the item was stored at a remote warehouse & would take 1-3 days to retrieve and ship. Well they ended up shipping it the same day anyway. That was Wednesday and Friday noon it was on my doorstep. That's what I call service. I wish I ordered from them to start with!

I order wrong part and returned it. They send 2 return addresses. 1 for the core and 1 for the actual return of the item. I accidentally used the incorrect return label and they only credited me for the core, roughly $54
I returned the entire part. When I called to tell them of the error, they said it was my fault and they shouldn't have to answer for my mistake.
Essentially they stole $140 from me and could care less. Customer service was rude and arrogant. I will never deal with them again. It's really a shame how badly I was treated. I will make sure never to use or recommend them to anyone.

I love Rock Auto I have not had any trouble since I started using them...their parts are excellent, plenty of choices and prices to fit all budgets. Will definitely keep ordering.

I have placed several orders from Rockauto. My last ordered had slightly damaged brake shoes which was probably a manufacturing defect. The customer service agent was very friendly and resolved the problem immediately at no cost to me. I am very satisfied with this company and I highly recommend them. RockAuto.com Rocks!

RockAuto has been my savior several times. Time and time again I have received defective parts from the big box stores adding to my aggrevation and expense. I have yet to receive a defective or incorrect part from RockAuto and the price is always cheaper. Shipping is fast and they seem not to add 'other' charges except for the actual shipping cost. Their website is easy to use and returning a core for a refund is as simple as 1,2,3. I am a very satisfied returning customer!!

Best prices, awesome customer service.If you are not in a jam and need parts right then and there, this is the place for all automotive parts.

Fed Ex Lost my part and Rock Auto shipped out a replacement ASAP! they have been very helpful in my time of need. They also have cheaper prices than my local parts store with a better selection. ROCK ON!

I recently made my first purchase at rockauto.com. I ordered the necessary bearing that were needed in order to rebuild my 2005 Acura TSX rear suspension. The parts arrived quickly and were exactly what I needed to get the job done. Thanks !!

Review: Rock Auto refuse to refund to me a core charge of $65 for a part I returned to them.They claim to never receiving the part and refuse payment until they get part. I maintain that it is evidently lost in transit and is beyond any control I might have. They say their system won't allow them to pay me while I maintain a simple exception to their rules is all that is required to resolve this issue. They refuse to budge and flatly refuse to pay me until such time as this part magically reappears. I'm stumped and desperate, that is the reason I lodge this complaint. this part was paid for via credit card which is why I request a billing adjustment.Desired Settlement: A simple credit issue to the credit card I used to make purchase initially, the credit card company tells me that since it's been more than 60 days they can't dispute the charge. I will also agree to a check being issued directly to me if they prefer. Had I known the true intention of the people at rock auto, I would have acted much sooner to lodge a dispute.

crediting. Despite not following the return instructions for core

returns and not being able to provide return tracking information for

the core return, the customer was refunded to his original payment

method for his core on 8/31/15.

Review: I ordered car parts for my vehicle from the listing on RockAuto's website. Specifically two front upper strut mount kits, which contained an upper strut mount, strut bearing and some hardware. I ordered two separate kits from two different manufactures as one was available at a closeout price, one being Monroe and the other Mevotech. The parts did not fit my vehicle and were obviously for another application. Both kits were identical to each other from the separate manufactures. I returned the incorrect parts through RockAuto's website which deducted shipping costs of $6.66 for each package. RockAuto sent me an email stating that I would be returned the price of the part minus the shipping costs. RockAuto's return policy states: "Shipping charges are not refundable unless the return is due to our mistake." Since RockAuto's website listed these parts for my vehicle specifically, I emailed them back stating that I would like to be refunded the shipping expenses. RockAuto replied by wanting my VIN for my vehicle to verify the part application. RockAuto was able to verify that these parts should have fit my vehicle by their listing. I replied that the parts were approximately an inch too small and that I had sourced them locally successfully by providing the same description of my vehicle. RockAuto stated that the parts may have been boxed wrong and wanted me to check the part numbers on the box and product, which was impossible as it had already been returned. This was also extremely unlikely as two separate manufactures had provided the same parts, further proving the incorrect listing. RockAuto offered a compromise of returning one shipping cost which I did not except as everything points to them having misinformation on their website. I even offered to provide OEM part numbers as a cross reference. I have all of the email correspondence to back up this complaint.Desired Settlement: I'm looking to be refunded the $13.32 in return shipping costs.

strut mounts did not fit this customer's vehicle. Both manufactures

confirmed the information in our online catalog is correct, yet the

customer reports these did not fit his vehicle. Since we shipped what

the customer ordered but they will not work for the customer, we

think the his solution of covering the return shipping costs is

reasonable considering neither party seems to be at fault. As the

customer requested, we have refunded his original payment method the

additional $13.32 for return shipping costs.

Review: The part was about $80-$90 and I paid next day shipping for over $100 on a Thursday. I did not receive it until Monday!! I paid next day shipping for that much because we needed that part over the weekend! If I had of know they were not going to process it in a timely manner to meet my needs I would not of purchased the next day shipping! I later had to return the part because it was the wrong part (no fault of theirs). But they will not refund me any of the shipping! I am very disappointed in this company. I used them from a reference from a friend but will not continue to do business if that is how it is ran.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my shipping please.

We are sorry Ms. [redacted] did not receive her package when she hoped. She ordered Thursday afternoon at 3:45 PM and chose Next Business Day Express. We shipped the part Friday morning on FedEx tracking 782519296779, and she received it in 1 business day on Monday. We are not sure why she thought the order would arrive sooner, since we showed a "You should receive by" date of Monday, 3/7/16, in her shopping cart and her shipment confirmation. As our Help page explains, every part we sell may be returned within 30 days for a refund of the part price, but shipping charges are not refundable unless the return is due to our mistake.

Review: Revdex.com doesn't list the primary nature of my complaint, which is the company's refund policy. I purchased a set of rotors for my 2005 Chevy Trailblazer LT, but the rotors' diameter is too large for the brake pad brack to fit over it and reattach to my vehicle. The rotors are too large. While rockauto.com will refund my purchase, they will not refund my original shipping costs that I paid to receive their part that won't fit on my auto. This is a bad business practice for me to pay to receive something that won't fit my car as promised. I have pictures to show the rotors are larger than what I took off of my Trailblazer, and the shape of the rotors are different from the originals.Desired Settlement: I simply want the original shipping costs for the rotors to be refunded, too, in addition to the purchase price that rockauto.com has already agreed to refund.

this further, we found that we had a catalog error that has since

been updated. We have emailed the customer return instructions and a

prepaid FedEx label. As the customer requested, we will refund him

for the cost of the rotors and the original shipping cost he paid for

the rotors within 1-5 business days of when the return tracking shows

delivery to our warehouse.

Review: On October 31, 2014, we started noticing problems with the 2006 Tahoe we had purchased in September. My step-son ordered parts from Rock Auto LLC each time we discovered a problem. The repair issues began in October and continued until March of 2015. We purchased parts totaling $8,843.00. Some of these parts had core charges associated with them. We live in Georgia and were dealing with Rock Auto LLC from Georgia. Suddenly in July, 2015, they began calling us to say that charges had not been done properly. Then in August, they said that they were reviewing core charges to try to refund any of the charges. The charges were made to my step-son's business account and, through that account to my American Express card. Instead of refunds, however, my Amex card began to be charged significant amounts beginning in August of 2015 through December of 2015 until there was a charge amount of $40,984.00. There is no way that there were $32,141.00 charges in core charges to the original parts totaling $8,843.00. Not all of these parts even have a core charge associated with them. A list of the parts purchased with prices appears below:

I do not know which items have core charges, but I feel Rock Auto LLC has stolen money from me and, single-handedly, destroyed my credit rating by defrauding my Amex card and causing me issues with American Express. I demand that they refund the stolen money ASAP, if not sooner!Desired Settlement: I demand that Rock Auto LLC go back and review all of the charges which they made through the [redacted] Guns or Backyard Sports and Outdoors merchant account from October 31, 2014 through December, 2015. Using the list shown above, they should total core charges along with the above listed charges and send me a check for the stolen money over and above this amount. Or, if they cannot go back through their records, I demand a settlement of half of the $40,984.00 amount to assist me in paying back American Express and restoring my credit rating. Half of the $40,984.00 would be $20,492.00.

We are sorry to hear of Ms. [redacted]’s misfortune. We do not save credit card information, so we are not able to make charges to a credit card without customer authorization on a new order. We only have one order between October 2014 and December 2015 with Ms. [redacted]’s information, and it does not have a core charge. I have attached the Order Confirmation (35056479) for reference. Ms. [redacted] provided us with a list of charges and their dates (also attached), but we were unable to find any corresponding records in our system. Ms. [redacted]’s bank statement would reflect “RockAuto, LLC” for any charges authorized by our company. She does not have those statements, so we don’t know why she thinks we made these charges. There is nothing more we can do to assist without additional information.
