Hello We are hired by the Management company of the place where you parked. We only provide a service requested by them.If you do not agree with their policy that is something you would have to discuss with them. There would be no way to contact the owner of any vehicle before a tow since...
we have no way of knowing who the owner of each vehicle is.
Hello [redacted]
I truly apologize if you felt we did not handle the process accordingly. I will review the phone calls and the personnel that were involved.
If you could please give me more information on when the transaction took place or a copy of the Invoice and receipts that you have so that we can clear up any mis communications
You can reach me at [redacted]@retrievertowing.com
Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: Oregon law states that you must provide pictures proving the violation is valid. The property management told me that they did not request the car be towed. They stated that I should ask for proof as there have been multiple complaints from other tenants that cars are being towed when not in violation. I require photographic proof that my car was in violation or you are required to release my vehicle to me. I have been without my car for more than a month you will be lucky if I do not pic sh this into small claims. Provide proof or release the car. Sincerely,[redacted]
Hello Unfortunately no one has any way of knowing when a car is disabled or parked illegallyI also cannot give out the owners private information at all.
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I was parked in my parking spot with a permit from the complex and I was over charged and you damaged my truck held my truck for what ever cost you wanted to charge and when asked for photos of the tow you want me to sign a form relieving you of all Harm I showed you the title to get the truck so they have copies of my ID and Registration on file from the driver and they continue to play games
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I believed that at the time of me visiting the towing company to pick up the vehicle I should have been advised of the process. Instead of having to come home to a surprise letter in the mail a week saying that know I will be owing a lot more then the price I was quoted when I first went to pick up the vehicle. If the gentleman at the desk was to tell me that there will be additional charges and fees I would still have to be responsible for in the future and a brief layout of the process I would of asked to borrow the money, or find a way to come up with it instead of letting additional charges accumulate. Now the company wants me to pay for all these fees that is a lot more then what we started with when I couldn't even afford the 474, in additional to not even getting the car. I would have of very much appreciated if they would of told me the process when I was there or at least warn me of what would happen if the car was not picked up. If I knew of the possible consequences I would of asked to borrow the money to avoid additional charges, having to pay differences, or being sent to collection. Its the right thing to advise people instead of blindsiding them with a letter in the mail once charges have already started to accumulate.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
Hello
The rules for towing on that property are stipulated by the Management team of the property.
That is what you will have to speak with them about. We only tow when requested.
I apologize for the treatment you felt you received.
The vehicle was towed for not following the proper rules. We are hired by the management of the property
and you would have to complain to them if you are not agreeing with there rules
HelloUnfortunately we provide a service requested by the property owner. The actions requested were not initiated by Retriever Toing we only performed the duty that was requested therefor your complaint is not with Retriever Towing
HelloThe reason for the tow was due to the specifications that we are asked to tow for that are provide by your property Management team.We do not just randomly tow we do patrol when asked and the vehicle we towed was not parked in within the parameters of your complex
Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
The business response isn't a resolution, it's a request for info so I don't want the case closed until they get the info below. I didn't see...
a way to directly provide this information to them so I picked "reject" so that the case isn't accidentally set to "resolved".
My auto information is as follows...

Hello Revdex.com,
I am still seeking a refund from Retriever Towing for the illegal tow of my Fed Ex work vehicle on 11/22/16. Retriever Towing has yet to contact me even though I filed two online complaints through their own website. I was able to obtain (through a third party) a pdf of the pictures they took of my van the night they towed it. None of the images show any signage in the North visitor parking lot restricting hours of visitor parking. I also sent you 3 pictures that I took of the North visitor parking area. You can see in the pics the word visitor painted on the ground, but no signs restricting the hours of parking. Please continue assisting me in reaching a resolution to this matter. Thank you for your time thus far.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: Signs at the complex regarding parking were not clear and direct in regard to Oregon State Law. Also, the manager of the parking lot confirmed she did not authorize the tow in accordance with ORS 98. This is the responsibility of the tower to adhere to. Choosing not to adhere to this law means you've committed Grand Theft Auto.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
who can I talk to personally or over the phone about the cost
