We have ordered a second key for the customer and anticipate it's arrival at our dealership within a few days. As for the inspection of the vehicle; Mr*** took delivery of his vehicle at the time the State of Massachusetts upgraded its inspection station guidelines and software.
There were some issues with the upgrade and many inspection stations were unexpectedly unable to perform inspections for a period of time, something which was well publicized in the media. Unfortunately our inspection station was one affected by the bugs in the upgrade. Contrary to Mr***'s assertion there was no malicious intent by allowing him to take delivery of the vehicle prior to inspection. Additionally, in Massachusetts, a used vehicle buyer has days from the date of registering a vehicle to obtain an inspection. At this point in time, if Mr*** has already received an inspection sticker independently, we will be happy to reimburse him for the cost of the inspection. We apologize for the inconvenience this matter may have caused
