I am rejecting this response because I feel that this matter could have been avoided completely by having more than one space on the drivers name box to pick up the car. As I stated in my first email this situation could have been avoided had there been two space on the form for drivers. Also my stance hasn't changed. My wife still needs the car. I do not want to change ANYTHING about the length of the reservation. Nor am I asking for any kind of refund. If I cannot get this matter resolved I myself will never do business with Priceline.com again in the future nor would I recommend them to anybody else to use either. Had this not been a work related issue I would not even be having this complaint to file in the first place. I'm only asking for a name change. NOTHING ELSE!

On your express deal page there is not an option for a 2 1/2 star hotel, I chose 3 assuming that is what I would be booking. It is bad business to sell me something less than what I chose which was a 3 star rating hotel. I called several times just wanting to change hotels or cancel and rebook and because of your lack of customer service and willingness to help your customers I am not stuck with a hotel that I would have NEVER stayed at unless of course I pay your ridiculous cancellation fee. intended to book the reservation for departure on March 1, 2015. We reviewed
your record and verified that the itinerary you received is what was submitted
during the booking process. We found that during booking, you first tried to
book a one-way flight from [redacted] for departure on
February 2, 2015. Whenever your request was not accepted, you would change one
of the parameters. You selected an option allowing the system to find 2
connections. You also selected the option for the system to find off-peak hours
("red-eye" flights). With your last attempt, you changed the date to
February 1, 2015 and booked a disclosed itinerary.
 
Prior to each attempt to submit a request, we presented
you a Contract Page to review. The Contract Page provided you the opportunity
to review the details of the request, including the dates.
 
For your reference, a copy of the contract page has been
sent in a separate email. The contract page disclosed the terms and conditions

The business is not responding to the complaint.  I've attached a picture of what the express deals listing I attempted to purchase looked like.  I under stand that on the contract page it does not show a star guarantee, but the listing did.  I did not expect that priceline would be engaging in bait and switch sales tactics.  False advertising is not a legal sales tactic, and I'd like to assume that this was just a mistake or system glitch, but pricelines unwillingness to reach a resolution and lack of acknowledgement of the issue is making me wonder what their values really are.

As clearly disclosed on the consumer’s contract page, Priceline couldn’t find a rental partner to accept the consumer’s $45 bid, however offered the consumer the option to purchase the rental car at the rate of $66 per day.  The consumer was offered the option to purchase the rental at $66 per day, and clearly chose to accept the option to purchase the rental at the rate of $66 a day. The contract page discloses the following:

rental partner will charge the driver at the rental counter for optional
items you add to your reservation, including any child seats or special
requests.

Only the
driver will be able to pick up the rental car at the counter and must present
a valid driver's license in his/her name. An additional driver can be added
at the counter for a fee payable directly to the rental car company.

Prices
are not guaranteed until booking is completed.

The
driver will be required to present a valid credit or debit card in his/her
name for the refundable security deposit.
·       
The
amount for the refundable security deposit required at the rental counter
depends upon the car type, rental period, and optional items. Pre-paid cards
or cash will not be accepted for the security deposit. If the driver provides
a credit card for the security deposit, the security deposit will be released
back onto the card once the vehicle is returned. If the driver provides a
debit card for the security deposit, proof of round trip airline travel may
be required and any funds used for the deposit cannot be accessed until after
the car is returned.
