I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meI am a cap rate customer however every year I have to be reviewedI need to send in my income and reapply then they determine if I am able to be on the program and I am eligible based on my income at this timeI will remain a cap rate customer for year then have to reapply usually in the fallI also am a budget customerBefore Planet Energy became my electric company my bill was now I was sent a bill in the amount of and that was after a 246.00paymentNot only did I contact planet energy*** also didThey in fact contacted them because I was approved for the cap rate and if I have another supplier I cannot get the cap rate programThis is why I wrote a letter right away and googled the main office in Pittsburgh and that is where I sent the letterThere are no fallacies in my statementI did exactly what *** told me to do write a letter immediately and send it in writing to cancel their service or I couldnt get the cap rate which I was approved for as I saidToday I called *** and was finally allowed to go back on the Cap ProgramI have been off it since about September when my year was up and I resent a new application along with my income informationCAP rate is a low income programNot everyone can be on itThank you for canceling the fee

I do not have access to any contract that I signedI was given a verbal summary of the contract by the sales representative, and signed a tablet screenI was told during my call in February that the contract was supposed to be emailed to me, but I never received it, nor was I even told that it would happen

Planet Energy has reviewed the account and apologies for any confusion and troubles pertaining to the consumer’s account and process. Planet Energy can confirm that the account is now in good standing with Planet Energy. Planet Energy can also confirm that the consumer paid the early
termination charges. The customer does not need to send any documentation to clarify payment Planet Energy has attempted to contact the consumer and left a voicemail for the consumer. Planet Energy is issuing a reimbursement of the termination charges to the customer, in full, which the consumer paid. The consumer does not need to take any further action for this to take effect Should the consumer have any further questions, they are advised to contact Planet Energy

The consumer entered into an agreement with Planet Energy
in August, 2016. Planet
Energy contacted
the consumer via outbound telephone call to verify the consumer’s
agreement. The consumer, amongst other
things, confirmed entering into the agreement with Planet Energy, as well as
their cancellation rights and the term of the agreement.
Planet Energy received notification of a discontinuance
of service for the consumer’s account in June, 2017. Planet Energy contacted the consumer wherein
she stated that she will be moving for military services but does not know
where she is going. Planet Energy
requested documentation be provided to Planet Energy for review.
In subsequent communications with the consumer, the
consumer stated that it is not her but her husband who is in the military. Planet Energy requested documentation be
provided to Planet Energy for review, however the consumer stated that she
would not have documents to provide to Planet Energy until September.
To date, no documentation has been provided by the
consumer to Planet Energy. As such, the
consumer’s claim that Planet Energy has refused multiple forms of government
issued documentation is non-factual.
The consumer entered into the agreement and exited the
agreement prior to the end of the term of the agreement. Planet Energy is willing to work with the
consumer and review any documentation which would substantiate the consumer’s
statements (such that early termination charges would not apply). Unless the consumer provides documentation,
early termination charges are applicable at this time, however could be waived
upon receipt of valid documentation by Planet Energy.
Should the consumer wish to resolve the matter, the
consumer is encouraged to contact Planet Energy’s customer service department
I have been on Planet Energy's program for over a year now The program has been very beneficial to me The young lady that enrolled me was very polite and explained everything in detail to me

Please be advised that Planet Energy records all calls made to and from its customer service department. In addition, Planet Energy conducts outbound telephone verification calls for its sales. The consumer completed a verification call with Planet Energy upon enrollment with Planet Energy. During the call, the consumer confirmed entering into the agreement with Planet Energy, upon other things, including that Planet Energy’s representative was wearing their Planet Energy identification badge, and that Planet Energy was an independent company which is not affiliated with West Penn Power. The consumer confirmed that with Planet Energy. As a result, Planet Energy was not able to substantiate the claims made within the Revdex.com file
Planet Energy reviewed the consumer’s statement pertaining to the consumer’s bill and noticed an irregularity. The consumer’s average monthly usage is approximately kWh’s per monthHowever, in the consumer’s most recent billing period with Planet Energy (a day period), the consumer’s usage was approximately kWh’s. This represents an approximate 103% increase in the consumer’s consummation when compared to the average, which would result in a corresponding increase in the consumer’s bill.
The consumer stated that her bill almost doubled at the time she enrolled with Planet Energy. This statement appears to be consistent with the consumer’s increase in usage, as the consumer’s usage is nearly double what the consumer’s average monthly usage is. Planet Energy cannot account for the increase in usage, only the consumer or consumer’s utility can

2016. Planet Energy
contacted the
consumer via telephone, wherein the consumer confirmed having entered into an
agreement with Planet Energy, along with confirming the various aspects of the
agreement with Planet Energy. Included
with the consumers confirmation was her understanding of the cancellation
rights under the agreement with Planet Energy.
The consumer was in receipt of a Contract, which outlined
the consumer’s cancellation rights under the agreement. The consumer was also in receipt of a
contract summary, which outlined the consumer’s cancellation rights under the
agreement. The consumer was also in
receipt of a Disclosure Statement, which outlined the consumer’s cancellation
rights under the agreement. In addition,
the consumer was provided with a copy of the terms and conditions of the
agreement, which outlined the consumer’s cancellation rights under the
agreement. The consumer was thoroughly
informed of their cancellation rights under the agreement
The consumer was serviced by Planet Energy until the
consumer cancelled services with Planet Energy without notification being given
to Planet Energy, and before the end of the term of the agreement with Planet
Energy
Planet Energy can offer the consumer a variety of
solutions. However, the consumer to date
has not accepted potential resolutions.
The consumer is encouraged to contact Planet Energy to discuss options
pertaining to the consumer’s cancellation

outbound telephone call, wherein the consumer amongst other things, confirmed entering into the agreement with Planet Energy, as well as confirmed the rate and term of the agreementThe consumer’s rate with Planet Energy remained fixed while they were a Planet Energy customer. However, the consumer discontinued services with Planet Energy without notice, and would not respond to letters and/or calls from Planet Energy. As a result, the consumer was charged early termination charges and their account escalatedThe utility rate fluctuates (both up and down), throughout the year. Planet Energy offers its customers a fixed rate which does not change during the term of the agreement. However, Planet Energy also permits a change in a customer’s rate, should the customer wish to change programs with Planet EnergyPlanet Energy would be happy to offer the consumer a program which may better suit their needs and/or preferences. Should the consumer wish to resolve the matter, the consumer is encouraged to contact Planet Energy’s customer service department
Planet Energy would like to thank the consumer for providing feedback. As confirmed with the consumer on Planet Energy’s call to the
consumer, the consumer was not enrolled with Planet Energy for any services with Planet Energy.
The consumer met with a Planet Energy representative on April 13, at around 1:PM. Planet Energy contacted the consumer via outbound telephone call, and spoke with the consumer on April 13, at around 1:PM. During the call, Planet Energy confirmed that the consumer was not enrolled for any services with Planet Energy.
Planet Energy appreciates all feedback provided by consumers and confirms that all feedback is recorded, investigated, and acted up on as applicable.

Response: Planet Energy would like to thank the consumer for her feedback and review Please be advised that the account has not, and will not be enrolled for services with Planet Energy. All of Planet Energy’s agreements require multiple steps in order to enroll with Planet
Energy, including a positive verification call conducted with the consumer Planet Energy contacted the consumer in order to conduct a verification call, however at the time of the call, the consumer requested to not be serviced by Planet Energy. Planet Energy processed a cancellation of the consumer’s account, informed the consumer, and the consumer acknowledged. As part of the process of enrollment, consumers are always provided with copies of agreements with Planet Energy, however this is only one step in the process of enrolling with Planet Energy. As the consumer did not complete the process, no enrollment was done. Planet Energy is investigating in full the consumer’s concerns and once again appreciates the consumer’s feedback

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I would also like to know what Planet Energy has to say about the fact that they did not make me aware of the process of how to cancel a contract for a secondary residence when I entered into the contractWhen I called and asked them how to cancel the contract for a secondary policy they informed me that since it was a secondary residence I would be able to send in a bill from my new utility provider and they would review itThey declined my utility bill with no explanation as to why.
