Phil Beaulieu & Sons Home Improvement is hands down the best roofing company in the Western Mass. From start to finish, they were professional, courteous, and efficient. They not only provided the best price for a brand new roof, but installed it in 1 day! Plus, the clean-up was unbelievable. It was like they weren't even there. No scraps, shingles, nails, or debris. Just an A++++, first class company that provide top-notch work and cares about their customers from beginning to end. Highly recommend!!!
Recently we had a new bow window installed in our house. Two fellows from Beaulieu did the work and did a lovely jobthey were promptcleaned up after the workspent endless hourswere meticulious in their work. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have new windows, etc installed. You won't be disappointed
Phil Beaulieu and Sons installed new sliding doors for us. They were wonderful throughout the whole process. The installers were particularly professional and friendly....they cleaned up after themselves, vacuumed the area, and did the new moldings.....We would definitely go back to them if we needed additional services in
the future. I would surely recommend them!
Avoid using this company! My small (5 double-hungs, 2 picture) window replacement project took 6 weeks longer to complete than promised, due to incorrect measurements taken by company owner. Workers left a MESS of nails, flashing, wood splinters and debris on my lawn & property. My newly installed Harvey MaxView windows get frost on the INSIDE whenever the weather gets cold.
To sum up my experience with Phil Beaulieu & Sons Home Improvement: They took longer than promised to complete the job, they did NOT properly clean up the debris left from removing my old windows, and they sold me CHEAP, FLIMSY replacement windows that are not energy efficient. I will never use this company again, and neither should you.
I've know Phil and his company from years ago. They did the original porch addition to our house back in the "70's. Recently we had him come back to do some upgrades. I was really excited to find them still in business. They replaced all of the windows, the trim around them and the screen & storm door on the porch. The finished job came out beatifully. The door instalation has provided eassier access for me to get in & out and to put the icing on the cake, when they were finished they cleaned up after. In the end their quoted price was right on the money and well worth every penny.
Thanks for another great job!

We had this company install vinyl siding and 2 new inside and storm doors in our house.
Once the project was started, they were here all day, every weekday ,until the job was finished.
The workers were here from before 8 AM to after 5PM each day.
While here, they worked their butt off all day.......... unlike other contractors that we have seen that show up for a few hours then leave to go to another job and then come back some other time and work for a few hours and repeat this behavior until the project gets done, which really delays the completion of the project. This company was always communicating with us as the work was being done.
The finished job was excellent and we are very happy with their work and recommend them highly.
I AM VERY PLEASED AND WOULD RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE. FROM THE SALES PRESENTATION TO THE CLEANUP, JOHN'S "CREW" WAS OUT STANDING. THEY WERE ALWAYS ON TIME AT BOTH ENDSS OF THE CLOCK, COURTEOUS AND THOUROUGH,
We had hired PBHI 13 years ago to replace windows and siding on our home. They did an outstanding job at that time. They had come highly recommended to us at that time by friends who had them do some home improvements.
Knowing the kind of quality products, workmanship, and fair price we could expect from PBHI based on our previous experience, they were the company we wanted to replace our roof, install and repair additional windows (that had not been previously replaced).
The Team at PBHI were professional, considerate of our needs offering good advice and fair pricing. We couldn't be happier!

I recently had some windows replaced in our cellar because one had a bad draft and they only had one pane. The owner recommended to replace them all for better insulation so we did. They came and did an excellent job but struggled because of the way the windows were originally installed which were actually inside the exciting drywall. I think another company that didn't know their stuff wouldn't be able to do what this company did. They even replaced our bathroom window and did a beautiful job. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and look forward to having them replace more windows in the future

We had work done on our home (siding, screen porch and new windows) back in 1999. We were very impressed with all aspects of our experience with Beaulieu's. I contacted them in June, 2015 because of there were some minor problems with several of the windows which had a limited lifetime warranty. We also wished to have a new sliding patio door installed as well as have the molding repaired around our garage door. The work has been completed and once again, we are extremely satisfied with their workmanship and professionalism. We were also very pleasantly surprised that they took the time to send us a Thank You card for selecting them for our project.
In October of 2014, we contracted Phil Beaulieu & Sons Home Improvement, Inc. to redo our deck with Trex's composite materials. [redacted] generated the estimate and final contract for $9,000.00, with a completion date of April, 2015. In March of 2015, I setup a meeting with [redacted] to review exactly what was anticipated to make sure there wasn't any misunderstandings prior to construction. There was no conversation about cost when he reviewed our specifications. He left, and said he would get back to us with a starting date. He called us on march 31st at 6:30 PM to tell us he wasn't going to do the job for anything less than $12,500.00. He said he made a big mistake, and under estimated to project. Therefore, leaving us to find another contractor in peak season for exterior contactors. We gave them a $3,000.00 down payment in October of 2014. They even had enough nerve to charged us a $30.00 because we used a credit card for a down payment. They returned $2,970.00.We signed with another contractor for $10,500.00 based on the very same specifications. The reason we went out for bids in the fall of 2014 was to get the very best contract. Now we have to pay $1,500.00 more based on a company with no ethics. They thought that they could jack up the price at the last minute to obtain a larger margin (profit).Desired SettlementFour issues:1 - Refund the difference of $1,500.00 that we have to pay a new contractor.2 - Refund the $30.00 credit card charge3 - Lower there Revdex.com rating from A+4 - Publish my issues with this companyBusiness Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXXXXXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@gmail.comTo whom it may concern. We did enter into a contract on XX-XX-XXXX to construct a deck for Mr and Mrs [redacted] @ [redacted] Dr [redacted] MA XXXXX. We did meet early this spring to review the project. The [redacted]'s wanted to make a couple of changes to the contract, color of the decking, how they wanted the decking installed in a picture frame and the fence product. After reviewing the project once again it was clear to us that we had made a mistake on the price of the quote, misunderstood how they wanted the deck put together vs the $9000.oo quote we had provided Mr and Mrs [redacted]. We asked if we could amend the proposal. The client decided to terminate the proposal and go elsewhere. We by no means were pulling a fast one on anyone. We have been in business for 40 plus years and treat everyone with the highest of ethics. I'm truly disappointed that this situation has happened. Mr and Mrs [redacted] were very nice throughout the process and we are very upset about the misunderstanding. We will be sending a check to the [redacted]'s for $30.00. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)[redacted] never had/has a detail list of materials and labor to back up the cost of $9,000.00. The fence product, he was referring to was to construct two privacy walls. When ask how he was going to construct the walls; he said he didn't know, because the Trex material is finished only on three sides and we need the forth side finished. If [redacted] had a detailed quote, with labor and materials then there wouldn't have been any misunderstanding. I firmly believe, that he had no more than what was in the small paragraph that is in the contract. Therefore, when the time came to start the project he had to now develop a material and labor estimate. And now wanted to jack up the price from $9,000 to $12,500, that is a forty percent increase!!![redacted], never asked to admen the contract! He called me, and told me, that there was no way he could do the job for less than $12,500. That isn't negotiating! That is, a take it or leave it demand!I still want the difference I had to pay to get the job done properly, $10,500 vs. $9,000.Also, their Revdex.com rating reduced so nobody else gets deceived!Thank you in advanced.Final Business Response Mr [redacted] is stating assumptions, untruths, inaccuracies and has no evidence in his last response. The facts are; at our last pre-construction meeting it was clear to me that the scope of work the clients were looking for was not what I had bid or what was detailed in the contract. There were details the client was asking for that would have created much more labor and materials..we always have a material and labor estimating sheet, but this situation isn't about how we estimate in the office. This entire situation is unfortunate but it's about the project that was on the contract was not what the owner was expecting. We were never trying to take advantage of anyone. This is just a misunderstanding between what was expected and what was on paper on the contract. We've been outstanding members of the community and the Revdex.com. We just received a 25 year award from the Revdex.com. The contractor that the [redacted] hired has been working in that complex and has done multiple decks in there community. Mr [redacted] didn't have to go far to get a new contractor. As far as compensation for work we never did. Sounds like the [redacted] recieved a good price from their new contractor as the price for the project performed was less than our bid for the details the client was looking for. We are asking for our Revdex.com rating reinstated to what it had been prior to this situation. We believe the client didn't want to stick to what was in the contract and wanted to make changes and didn't agree to the price. Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)This is the extent of the contract that I signed. I would imagine, that even Mr. [redacted] would agree it lacks detail.DeckGut the existing decking and railingsRe-secure the ledger to the house and add a joist to the exterior rim joist box Furnish and install new Trex deckingo Color: spiced rumo All decking to be secured with hidden fasteners o All railings and privacy walls to be fire pit colorConstruct a new privacy fence to match the existing with Trex decking parts Furnish and install new decking on the stair treadsFurnish and install new Trex rails and posts to match the decking.Remove and dispose of all debrisJob to be completed by April 2015PS. We asked for new windows, doors and some insulation on the porch to make it more usable year round. They gave ideas, including new electrical outlets and incorporated ours into the job order. The estimate that was given was the final cost, and the actual gentlemen doing the work were professional, friendly and cleaned up every day. No mess left over. The only drawback was the wait for supplies to be ordered and fitting a date into both of our schedules. In the end, our porch is now like a new room. We would call on this contractor to do more work if needed. Work done in September 2015.
