Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Regards, [redacted] The unit was NOT occupied by me as of April 12th when I turned in my keys and was informed the unit would be rented prior to May 13th Since you have not been willing to make this situation right whatsoever, I am in the process of filing suit with the small claims court I have documentation of each person I've spoken to and have been passed off to, as well as photos of the condition of the unit and entire facility I also have access to the police reports for the multiple times I had to call while I was in the unit [redacted] , Please do not remove this complaint from the Revdex.com file for AMC I do not want other tenants to go through what I have been through

I received a complaint from the Revdex.com about my businessI understand there has been a delay in refunding deposits for *** that she paid but her application has been denied.
I am very sorry that the deposit was delayed but I did not
have a full understanding of the situation *** was refunded $which was what I understood was the amount
I left her multiple messages trying to ask questions about her applications to ensure I refunded her the correct amount but was unable to connect with her.
It took some time but now I understand that she applied for different apartments where she and was denied for both
I have worked through the process of finalizing the refund paperwork A check in the amount of $should arrive at the address she previously provided next week.

Yes the common areas that all residents have access to have been a challenge to maintainHowever, our maintenance team strides to make this their priority as well as the office staff by contacting the guilty partiesWe are very sorry this was your experienceI appreciate your feedback so we can improve in areas others see as concerns
I am sorry the office staff was none responsive to this matter, I will address on my end so no other resident has your experience

I lived in this apartment complex for and a half yearsIt changed management a couple of times and ownership at least onceThe services such as the business center, pool area, and general cleanliness of the property went down considerably with the newest owner while costs continued to riseI was paying pet rent that when added up is in excess of $over the length of my stayHowever when I went to move out the management told me during my walk through that everything was in good condition and the carpets would only need to be cleanedWhen I got my deposit deposition they charged me $dollars for damages which included replacing the carpetsThe last few months of my stay I had changed to month to month renting in which they raised my rent by over $dollars as well
For the lack of consistent service, inadequate communication, and added on expenses that did not seem merited considering the decline in service I will warn everyone I meet not to deal with this companyThis left me feeling like I had dealt with slum landlords and that I had been victimizedI know of at least one other tenant who moved out within a week of me who received similar treatment

I am rejecting this response because:While I am familiar with the property owner's right to do away with an amenity and advise tenants appropriate and/or get input on this action and update all advertising accordingly, the core complaint centers on that last covenant, Truth-in-AdvertisingPreviously, I have provided evidence that Lincoln Place was actively advertising the Business Center and its high speed Internet access on its website and other collateral and certainly as of the week of October 21, when I signed my leaseI also remember discussing my work transition, etcand need for this sort of convenience vswalking at night and in the dark to a librarySo the issue is the active and fraudulent advertising of the amenity at the time of the lease sign; not the option to do-away with an amenityPursuant to the Federal Trade Commissions introduction of Truth-in-Advertising, federal law mandates, "When consumers see or hear an advertisement, whether it’s on the Internet, radio or television, or anywhere else, federal law says that ad must be truthful, not misleading..." This is also a Consumer Protection issue that has an immediate impact on my job seeking as, when I started my lease, I did so with a seasonal job while looking for full-time employment.Had Lincoln Place management changed its advertising or made a disclosure prior to the lease execution, I would understandI also am not seeking "free rent" per se as much as restitution on the fraud assessed - reasonably - at the $per month I disclosedIf the company is able to make an offer of another discount, I will consider this option as a counter to my original, and valid claim(Evidence previously provided - 10/21/print and website ads with business center promoted)
