Review: This company have high pressure salesmen that lie about the fees. I was told the only charge was a $7.99 charge and there is no other fees. I didn't use the service because it was not as described. I was charged all these fees that were not disclosed to me, so I closed my account. I was refunded the fees after a supervisor reviewed the calls from the sales rep and agreed that the fees were not disclosed. Then I got charged a $350 early termination fee for closing my account which they refuse to refund.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the $350 early termination fee.

We regret that a merchant has had to complain to the Revdex.com to get the assistance needed and will strive to make sure this does not happen in the future. LEADERS has carefully reviewed the complaint and the merchant’s records. Although the merchant states he was told he would only be billed $7.99 LEADERS does not have any fees that would equal $7.99. If the merchant had processed as he claimed he was going to process he would have avoided the Monthly Minimum of $25 and would have only been billed for his $7.95 regulatory fee and processing fees. As a good faith gesture LEADERS has already refunded both November and December Monthly Minimums in the amount of $50 to the merchant. The merchant disputed his January month end fees with his bank in the amount of $161.95, so they were not paid. These fees included the merchants’ $129.00 annual PCI compliance fee, the $7.95 regulatory fee and the $25 monthly minimum. The balance owed was sent to our collections department. As a final good faith gesture LEADERS has already waived the $161.95 owed to us. The merchant closed his merchant account prior to the end of his 3 year contract and per his signed contract is responsible for the $350 ETF. LEADERS advised the merchant when he asked to close the account he was responsible for the Early termination fee and the fee was mentioned 2 times in his contract. Since the merchant did close his account prior to his 3 year contract he is responsible for the fee. LEADERS has already refunded/waived $211.95 to the merchant and considers this complaint resolved and closed.

Review: When I signed up for card processing services with Leaders, I specifically asked if there were any monthly fees in addition to the percentage collected with each card transaction. The sales rep clearly told me there were no fees other than the percentage on each transaction. I then asked if there was a cancellation fee should I elect not to continue with their services. I was clearly told that all I would need to do is call and cancel.Month one of their service; I had zero transactions (I was still filing paperwork for my business). I was assessed a fee of $31.40. When I called to inquire about the charge, they told me they didn't consider it a 'fee'. That I had agreed to a minimum of $25 of transaction fees for them, and that there was a $4.95 monthly fee for federal regulations. NONE of this was mentioned to me in the process of signing up.Month two: my business is starting slowly, and I had a couple of sales. Another fee was assessed of $30.31. I let it go because of an upcoming trade show and needed to be able to accept cards. I called on 07/29/15 and asked to cancel the service. I was told there would be a $350 early termination fee. I told the representative this was unacceptable and that I would be back in touch. Month three: On 08/03/15 I was charged a fee of $119.70! When I called to inquire, they told me it was the monthly fee of about $30 plus an annual "PCI Compliance Fee" of $89. This was the final straw. I called and told them they had engaged in deceptive business practices, that I had closed my bank account, that they would not get another penny from me and that complaints would be filed with the attorneys general of California and my State.This seemed to do the trick. They say they cancelled my service without a fee, and that the $119.70 fee charged to me on 08/03 would be written off. We shall see, but my experience was so bad I'm filing this complaint, and will also file complaints with the attorneys general as I mentioned above. My worst business experience in 20 years.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the fee of $31.40 taken from my bank account on 06/03/15, a refund of the fee of $30.31 taken from my bank account on 07/03/15, and compliance with my bank pertaining to my dispute of the charge of $119.70 taken from my account on 08/03/15.I also want no further contact of any kind from Leaders Merchant Services, other than refunds of the fees they took from my account.

Review: In May 2013 I was shopping for a new merchant services provider for my small business, Metro East Home Inspection. I contacted Leaders Merchant Services and spoke to "J[redacted]". J[redacted] assured me that the starting rate that the service rates start at 0.35% (depending on certain qualifiers), no hidden fees and I could cancel at any time. I advised him that I wanted to think about it and would get back to him. A couple of days later he called, while I was traveling out of state. I told him I would call him back in a couple of days. I called him back and he made the same assurances (no hidden fees or cancellation fees). After signing on in late May all went well. My July statement arrived and I noticed a miscellaneous fee of $75. I call and left "J[redacted]" a message, Never heard back from him. In late August a gentleman from Leaders called to see how the relationship was going. I told him then that all was good except I did not understand what the $75 fee was on my July statement. He said it would t[redacted] him a little while to get the statement but he would call me back in a couple of hours. Never heard back from him. In September one of the ladies that I've spoken to before, during the sign up period, called to see how things were going. I told her the same thing and about the last guy that I had spoken to. I advised her that I had signed with Intuit and wanted to cancel the services. She said I would have to talk to "J[redacted]" and she would have him call me. Still waiting. Following my conversation with the lady my account was billed $25. I had the bank issue a stop payment order. About a week later I received a letter saying they were going to turn it over to collections and it could have an adverse effect on my credit rating. On December 3, 2013, Leaders billed my checking account $350 for a cancellation for that previously according to "J[redacted]" did not exist.Desired Settlement: I feel that Leaders owes me the $350 that their representative at best failed to disclose. I also feel that if anything has been turned over to a credit reporting agency that it should be reversed and I should be provided a statement that this has been done and Leaders has no claims against me.

We make every effort to ensure each merchant is provided with the highest quality services possible, so to hear a complaint such as this is discouraging. It is not LEADERS general practice to not return phone calls so we apologize if the merchant did not receive the return phone calls he was expecting from his representative and other support staff at LEADERS. We have reviewed the merchants’ complaint and our records including the merchants signed agreement with LEADERS. Since only some of our sales calls are recorded for quality purposes LEADERS does not have all the phone calls between this merchant and his representative. The phone calls we were able to listen to did not have any discussion between the merchant and his sales representative regarding any cancellation fee and the merchant did not ask about other fees. The signed merchant agreement includes all fees LEADERS billed the merchant including the $350 Early Termination Fee. LEADERS did not bill the merchant a $75 fee so we are not sure what the merchant is talking about when he speaks of a $75 fee. If the fees billed to the merchant were not what the merchant and his representative discussed then the merchant should not have signed the agreement. As a Good Faith Gesture, LEADERS will waive the collection balance owed to LEADERS. This response will serve as a statement that the collection balance will be waived and reported as such to the credit reporting agency. As an additional Good Faith Gesture LEADERS will refund the $350 ETF to the merchant. The merchant should receive his refund in 7-10 business days. LEADERS wishes the merchant much success and considers this complaint resolved and closed.

Review: I applied for services with this company back in may, was approved but never registered. Now, over 3 mos. later and I receive no invoice, now warning what so ever they just reach their greedy hand into my bank account and steal 164. dollars. I have never used their services now will I ever use them in the future. I called the company and they tell me that if I am approved, regardless whether I use their service or not or whether I approved or completed the initialization process that I am screwed and they can steal what ever they want......Desired Settlement: they will p[ay me back the 164. dollars they STOLE from me.

LEADERS is one of the largest merchant processing companies in the country. We strive to provide our merchants with the highest quality services available. We take complaints such as this very seriously. We have reviewed the merchant’s records and have noted the merchant is correct that he has not used the services provided to him by LEADERS. LEADERS opened a merchant account for him per his signed agreement. LEADERS also sent the merchant his activation code so that he could go online and activate an account with Auth.net so he could process transactions via the internet. The services are 2 completely different services. The merchant account was opened on 5/13/2013 and a welcome packet was mailed to the merchant on 5/14/2013. It is unclear how the merchant could not know he had an open and active account with LEADERS. LEADERS also mailed the merchant his monthly statements every month showing he has an open and active merchant account. LEADERS has provided a service to the merchant since 5/13/2013, whether he used the service is not relevant in whether he is charged for the service. LEADERS did not bill the merchant any fees he did not agree to in his signed merchant agreement so all fees the merchant claims LEADERS stole from him were legitimate fees. LEADERS will process a refund in the amount of $164.90 for the merchants July month end fees. This is a onetime good faith gesture to our merchant. The merchant should expect to see their refund back into their bank account in 7-10 business days. LEADERS wishes the merchant much success and considers this complaint resolved and closed

LEADERS would like to refer the merchant back to our original remarks about his complaint. LEADERS agreed to refund the merchant $164.90. In our original rebuttal we stated “The merchant should expect to see their refund back into their bank account in 7-10 business days”. LEADERS apologizes for not mentioning the refund would be deposited as two separate refunds. The $129.00 PCI compliance fee that was a portion of the $164.90 came from a different accounting line and took a little longer to process than the $35.90 in monthly fees that was refunded first. The $129.00 was refunded on 8/22/2013, only 7 business days from the day we posted our rebuttal. If the merchant has not received the refund as of today he should notify his bank and provide tracing # [redacted]749021. LEADERS refunded the full amount as promised to the merchant in the timeframe promised and we consider this complaint resolved and closed.

Review: Leaders Merchant was a credit card processing service that I used to have for my business. I notified them of cancelling my services with them on February 2nd. They received and processed my cancellation on Feb 14th. In March they withdrew a service fee, to which they refunded due to a computer error, in April, they charged me a dormancy fee, to which they refunded because the account had been cancelled, and on May 15th they charged a $250 cancellation fee to my checking account, but refuse to credit me back. My argument is that they charged and used my checking account 90 days after the date that they processed the cancellation. I had spoke to several people and was told that they could perform the cancellation up to 30 days after the date of processing the cancellation, then another told me 90 days, but once I made it to a Supervisor, she told me they can do it at anytime. My theory is that once the received notification of me cancelling their services, that they should have charged me any penalty fees at that moment, not 3 months later. I have had to change all of my business account information, due to the fact that I fear they will go in again and again and continue to take money out of my account. I asked them to prove that they have the right to withdraw monies from my account, but they were unable to prove that they can do so for an infinite amount of time. I am requesting that they return my $250 "cancellation fee" as they did not have authorization to continue to enter and withdraw monies from my account, without my knowledge or approval.Desired Settlement: I want the $250 "cancellation fee" returned, due to fraudulent and unauthorized access to an account that they had access to, until the date of cancellation of services.

LEADERS takes complaints of this nature very seriously. After reviewing the account records, it was discovered that the merchants account was not closed until 4/15/2013, after receiving his closure request on 2/9/2013. LEADERS requires a 30 window to close a merchant’s account due to chargebacks and settlements, the fact his account was not closed within that window is why he was charged for March month end fees that were billed in April for the amount of $191.90 and a dormancy fee of $7.30 both of which have already been refunded. Since the merchant sent in his closure letter in February he is responsible for the February month end fees that were billed in March. The merchant chose to close his account prior to his contract being complete so his $250 Early Termination Fee was billed to him 30 days after we closed his merchant account and is a fee due to LEADERS according to his signed contract. As a good faith gesture LEADERS will refund via check half the ETF in the amount $125.00 to the address we have on file. LEADERS considers this complaint resolved and closed.

After contacting the merchant to verify if we indeed had the correct address we were informed by the merchant that he now has the check. Review: I signed up my Girl Scout troop, so we could accept credit card during cookie season. Was never told we will have monthly fee of 15.00. Cookie season last about 3 months, and we have Fall Products in Fall that last about 2 months. Other than that we won't have credit card transaction. Call them , spoke to customer service and told them I will return the card reader, because , I was never told about the 15.00 monthly fee. Now , if I want to return the reader and close the account they want to charge the troop 350.00. And I was also told that it was a 3 year contract. By charging 15.00 in December, they have overdraft their account. Cookie sales started January 15th .Desired Settlement: I want the account to be close, without the fee. Girl Scout are a non-profit organization. Their bank account are use for their activities/badges/projects.Cookies and Fall Products are the only fundraisers we have.

Also as a good faith gesture LEADERS will refund the $15 monthly minimum billed for December. The merchant should see this refund in 5-7 business days. The merchant will be billed a monthly min for January as well since they did not process enough in January to cover the monthly minimum. LEADERS will also refund the amount charged for January’s monthly minimum once it has cleared our reject report in 7-10 business days. Review: Got sold a terminal with a fee of $ 100.00 for activation and was told that monthly fee would be $ 15 plus transaction fee of 3%, after first month the fee was $ 69, then $ 129.00 and more.I used the terminal only once. First time I tried to use the terminal it did not worked and had to have my customers make a cash payment. I canceled by certified letter on October 13 because of fees and never got response, the business is a PO box , now they remove from my account on regular basis arbitrary fees in amount of $ 130.00 and more and today twice $ 350.00.They want me to pay a fee of $ 168,94, I have a stop payment from my bank but the scam continues, I called on few occasion and the service is closed or the person is not there. They scam you with a sales person telling the fee is low then do not honor and pretend the set up was not done correctly and this is the reason for the fees. Then they make it difficult or impossible to cancel or charge canceling fees that are prohibitive.Desired Settlement: I would like, to have all fees I paid over $ 15.00 reimbursed(except when I used the terminal once), stop collection $ 168,94 and $ 700.00 and no more contact with this business.

Services, LLC, has upheld one of the largest Chargeback and Fraud departments

in the industry. While LEADERS can appreciate all of the merchant’s

frustrations, our Risk Management department followed Industry-wide standards

and protocol by holding and validating the merchant’s monies and transactions

in order to protect against the threat of high risk transactions and fraudulent

activity. The merchant processed a transaction that was higher than the

approved high ticket.. As a good faith gesture, LEADERS will refund the Early

Termination Fee of $350 once we have confirmation from the merchants bank that

LEADERS did collect this fee. The merchant was charged an Equipment Price of

$495.00 due to the terminal not being returned within ten (10) days of the

termination date per the signed Free Terminal Letter. LEADERS will also be refunding

the Equipment Price of $495.00 as the terminal was returned on October 28, 2015. Both refunds have been processed and the merchant should see these refunds in approximately 7-10 working days. LEADERS

wishes the merchant good luck in future endeavors and considers this complaint

Review: When I first signed on with Leaders I was not informed about the early termination fee. I have tried multiple times to close the account or put it on holiday status as to minimize the monthly fees as I would often go months without using the merchant services. The contract that I was told about was not the one I was given and there were many miscellaneous charges that I had to pay although I did not use the service and it was prolonged through being unable to close the account.Desired Settlement: I would like at least the $350 early termination fee refunded.

Review: This complaint is against Leaders Merchant Services ( A credit Card processing Company)Sometime after the middle of December 2013, I spoke to a sales person by the name of Jake Downes who is supposed to be an account executive for Leaders Merchant Services, he went through all I needed to know about how the credit card company operates, rates and all I needed to know and assured me that there are no contracts, no monthly fees and that they accept all kinds of credit cards including foreign and corporate, and they would all fall under the same rate and the rate does not change. I stressed to Jake that we take a foreign credit card from a company in Guatemala on monthly basis, and that was also obvious in the bank statements that they requested, I also stressed that we sell high ticket items and could have a sale of up to $15000.00 and Jake assured me that it would not be a problem because all cards are accepted, and they noted the monthly sales amount, Therefore I went ahead and had the application signed and forwarded all required documents that he requested as far as banking goes.On February 2, 2014 I made the first charge on a foreign credit card for the amount of $10000.00 which is one I made every month in the statements that were sent to Leaders upon opening my account with them. The transaction went through just fine with no problems.On February 3, 2014 I received an email from the Risk Management Department stating that the amount will be suspended until screening process is completed, and requested a copy of the Invoice of this transaction faxed to them, I went ahead and did just that.The next day I called Risk Management 800 number that was in the email that was sent to me requesting further information, and I was told at first by the person I spoke to that they cannot approve a $10000.00 amount since this is a new account, and that it may be on hold for up to three months, I told her if a charge was to be held for three months, I could go out of business, and after talking to her further, and mentioning that this card was from out of the country, she said that Leaders does not accept cards from out of the country and advised me to credit back the amount to the customers card. All this was not told to me by Jake; Jake assured me that I can charge up to $15000.00 and that there is no problem in taking a foreign card.I thought that by doing a credit, I would not be charged anything since it was the company that misleads to believe it was okay to charge foreign cards and they accepted the charge and then decided to hold it for up to three months. To my surprise, on March 3rd 2014, exactly one month later, Leaders Merchant decided to electronically draw $392.09, when I called them inquiring what that charge was for, I was told it was for the $10000.00 transaction I made in February, I told them that I never got that money and the transaction was cancelled, they said they would still have to charge me and that the charge was double that, but they credited me half.Since I could not get through to anyone after trying to talk to the manager who even refused to talk to me, I disputed the amount with my bank, and my bank charged them back for this unauthorized withdrawal.Two days ago, I received a $40.00 bill from them, they are claiming that this is a PCI, that I am not in compliance with their guidelines. LEADERS has reviewed the signed contract and our account records including the phone calls between the merchant and the sales representative. The merchant was advised she could run an international card by her sales representative, which is true. The risk department held the transaction because of the large amount, because it was her first transaction, and because it was a foreign transaction. There was an additional problem with this transaction which is that the invoice date on the transaction was 5/1/2013, meaning the transaction was over 30 days old, another factor which we do not allow. The $392.09 billed for the transaction is only a portion of the fees for that type of transaction. LEADERS already waived $398.00 of the transaction fees for the merchant which is over half of the actual cost to the merchant. As a good faith gesture LEADERS will refund the $392.09.00 billed to the merchant although these fees are legitimate charges billed to the merchant. The merchant has already placed a stop payment on the $40 non-PCI compliance fee which was billed because the merchant never completed their PCI compliance survey, so there is no need for a refund of that fee. LEADERS considers all other fees billed to the merchant their responsibility and no further refunds will be issued. We wish the merchant much success and consider this complaint resolved and closed.

On 4/18/2014 I saw yet another debit from my bank account for the amount of $392.02 which Leaders was supposed to waive based on their last response to Revdex.com, so I called their billing department, spoke to Courtney Myers, I asked her if I should dispute the amount with my bank, she said there is no need to do that, and that they will credit me back for the amount, since it was charged in error....So I do not know where leaders is getting their information , but this is what happened, and Courtney asked me if they were to remove all charges, if I was willing to drop my case with Revdex.com, and I advised that with an official letter stating that I am not responsible for these charges, only then I would drop my case.

It saddens me that this company can get away with drawing from people's account and then twisting facts to their advantage, and getting away with it. Well Fargo should be ashamed of such dealings and ashamed of the way leaders treat their customers. I do not know what to do to stop Leaders from debiting my account whenever they wish to. I need Leaders to completely refrain from ever debiting from my bank account, I am not giving them any authority to do so .

Leaders has not worked with me diligently, Leaders treated me with utmost unprofessionalism and disregard before this case went to Revdex.com, they did not even want to negotiate or give much of a logical explanation for their unfounded charges, they try to extort money from merchants any way they can and hope to get away with it by threating the merchant that if they don't pay, they would suffer the consequences of collection. Per our records the merchant did speak with a supervisor on 4/3/2014 but since the merchant signed a contract the ETF refund was denied. The merchant spoke with our account retention department and after being advised of the Early Termination Fee agreed to keep her account with LEADERS if we would lower her monthly minimum fees. LEADERS has diligently tried to work with this merchant, but since the merchant signed a contract with an early termination fee she was charged when she closed her account. As a good faith gesture LEADERS will refund the $250 Early Termination Fee, the merchant should expect her refund in 7-10 business days. Review: To Whom It May Concern:I entered into this unholy alliance with your company over a year ago and it has been one of the worst experiences of my life. Instead of being the simple and easy $8 a month merchant services account I initially was led to believe it was by Chris Lopez. It has turned into a money guzzling nightmare. For over a year I have been paying for a service I have not once used. Partially because I haven't needed it and partially because the couple of times I came close I found another way to receive payment for fear that like everything else regarding my interaction with your company the transaction would not turn out the way it was supposed to. I feared I would never see any of the money from the transaction because it would disappear into the black whole that is all of the unexpected fees, I have encountered with your company.I will say one thing my experience with your company has made me much more jaded when it comes to my business interactions and instead of taking a company that claims to be reputable at the word of their boiler room style employees I look for all the fine print and for that I thank you. However, I have never come across any company that so blatantly lies and misrepresents the contract they have their customers sign versus what the sales person tells them they are signing up for. Lightning should have struck the phone or my sales person's nose should have came through the line based on the total lack of veracity to any of the statements he made when he sold me on the holy grail of merchant services that is what your company supposedly offers. I signed up for a $8 flat rate plus a small transaction fee based on the percentage of a sale merchant account that I was supposed to be able to cancel at any time without penalty. Instead I got something that started at $40 a month and when I tried to cancel I was informed I would have a $350 EFT. After many phone call the monthly fee dropped to $20 still not $8 and on top of an astronomical prepayment penalty I discovered a huge annual fee of $129 and from what I've seen online the transaction fees are not nearly as small as described. As most of your "wonderful and extremely helpful" (yes I'm being facetious) sales people and customer service representatives have told me time and again. It's my fault. I should not have taken the representative at his word that the contract we signed on the phone together was exactly what we discussed and that there were no hidden agendas or fine print. Leaders Merchant Services LLC is an industry LEADER in providing merchant services to business owners all over the United States, because of that we take all complaints very seriously. We would like to take this opportunity to apologize on behalf of the merchant’s sales representative if the merchant did not receive returned phone calls or e-mails from him. That is not the way our sales representatives should treat our merchants and this matter has been addressed with the representative.

The merchant set up an account with LEADERS through Payware which is a third party provider that allows a merchant to process credit cards with a swiper using their cell phone. According to this complaint the merchant says her swiper never worked with her phone and we promised her a new device, LEADERS has no record of such promises through our Technical Support or our Customer Service Departments so we are not sure where the promises she is talking about came from. We have researched and have discovered that the merchant has in fact not processed any transactions with LEADERS.

The merchant did sign a merchant agreement and all fees billed to the merchant were included in the agreement she signed. We do not have recordings of the calls between the merchant and the sales representative, but if the contract did not match with what the merchant and the sales representative discussed then the merchant should not have signed the contract. Unfortunately the refund of $7.95 has not been processed yet so LEADERS will refund the $7.95 to the merchant for her October month end fees. Since the merchant never processed any transactions through her merchant account with us LEADERS will also refund all fees billed to the merchant as a Good Faith Gesture. The total refund to the merchant will be $152.85 and the merchant should expect to receive her refund in 7-10 business days. LEADERS will also cancel the merchants account per this request. We would like to wish the merchant much success with her business and consider this complaint resolved and closed.

Review: When I first contacted Leaders to get an account started I was promised the monthly fee of $7.95 per month plus transaction fees which sounded reasonable and fair. I informed the rep, Morgan Rodriguez, that this account did not need to start until the first of October 2013. So, in October I get this unexplained fee of $33.35. I call to find out what it was about and come to find out that not only did I get charged the $7.95 for the month of September, when I wasnt using the card at all, but an additional $25.00 and an unexplained 40 cents. Nothing was said about a $25.00 fee in addition to the $7.95 for NOT using the account. Not to mention I specifically requested this account not to start until the first of October. With that said, I asked to cancel the account and got transferred to a rep named Bo and was told at that time that yes they could cancel the account but there is a $350 cancellation fee. AGAIN! Nothing mentioned by Mr. Rodriguez about that. Being the reasonable person that I am I asked what can be done from this point on to just maintain the account and have reasonable charges? Whoever Bo spoke with stated they would defer charges until after the first of the year. I also asked at that time are there any other fees I need to be aware of? Their answer was no. Then the following month I noticed $45.49 was deducted from my account. Again I call and explained how the fees were to be deferred until after the first of the year. The gal I talked with looked at Bos notes and promised that the charges would be reversed and back in to my account but it could take up to 2 weeks. After a 2 week period I called back as I had noticed the charges had not been reversed. I was told at that time that none of that amount was going to be reversed as those were standard card charges. The $25.00 was just the amount that was deferred. Requesting what I could do get the charges reduced I was then transferred to yet another rep and he suggested they could reduce the fees from 5.99% to 3.99%. Fast forward to Novembers charges $177.34! What the heck?! Again I called. So not only was I again charged fees again but they slipped in an additional $129.00. Looking at the statement, after it finally arrived in the mail, all it shows is as additional fees. No description of what the additional fees meant. Of course I callagain. This $129.00 was an annual fee. Annual fee? I havent been with them for a year! Come to find out yet another fee that was not explained up front. After that, I requested that Leaders refund my additional charges and waive any cancellation fees. They refunded $129.00 but denied waiving the cancellation fee. I want this account closed and for Leaders to waive the cancellation fee of $350 due to being misled and poor representation and service.Desired Settlement: Cancelling this account AND waiving the cancellation fee of $350 will be an acceptable resolution to this matter.

After listening to the recording of the conversation between the merchant and her sales representative, the merchant never mentioned she did not want the account to start until October. In fact it was stated that the account would probably be approved the same day. We are not sure why the merchant believes she was misinformed by her representative unless she spoke with other merchant service providers looking for the best rates and possibly got our offer confused with someone else. We would like to stress that if the rates and fees were not what the merchant felt she had discussed with her representative she should not have signed the agreement. The offer to waive 3 months of monthly minimums was only for the monthly minimums, not for all processing and other fees. The merchant asked if there were any other monthly fees she did not know about, the annual PCI Fee is not a monthly fee so the representative did mention the annual fee since it is in fact an annual fee billed in the third month of service per her contract. LEADERS has already agreed to refund the $129.00 PCI annual fee as a good faith gesture. Since LEADERS does not want to cause financial hardship to a merchant, as a Good Faith Gesture LEADERS will close the merchants account and waive the $350 ETF. Review: A few months ago I signed up to join Leaders Merchant services as a credit card processing client. I spoke to a nice gentleman who stayed on the phone with me for close to an hour detailing my agreement with this company and no mention of hundreds of dollars worth of fees for service. They have auto-drawn a ridiculous amount of money from my account. I told the salesman that I would only be doing a small amount of business with this processing account and he assured me that my payment to the company would be based on the percentage we agreed upon. I was charged $164 in January for erroneous fees and another $350 at the end of the month because I called to complain and they canceled me without me signing the document requesting cancelation. When I called to speak to a supervisor they told me that they do not allow clients to speak to the corporate office, nor can they tell me the name of any of their employees. This business is a SCAM and should be stopped.Desired Settlement: I would like release from this contract and a refund of the money they drew off of my bank account without my permission, which totals $479.

The merchant did contact our customer service department about the fees they were being billed. Our customer service department explained all fees and at that time the merchant expressed a desire to close their account. A closure request was sent to the merchant so that they could fill it out, sign it and return the request to LEADERS so the account could be closed. LEADERS then received a notice from the merchant’s bank that they were having the December fees in the amount of $164.72 returned as unauthorized. It is LEADERS policy to close and an account if a merchant has called in and requested to close and we receive any notifications from the merchant’s bank that fees are unauthorized; hence LEADERS closed the merchants account so they could not process with the account without paying the fees owed to LEADERS. The January fees in the amount of $8.69 were also returned to LEADERS as unauthorized. As stated before all fees billed to the merchant were authorized by the merchant’s signed contract. LEADERS will waive the $350 Early Termination Fee and let the merchant out of her contract when the merchant pays the $164.72 December month end fees and the $8.69 January month end fees, otherwise all fees billed by LEADERS will be sent to our collection department for collection. LEADERS wishes the merchant much success and considers this complaint resolved and closed.

Review: I subscribed to Leaders Merchant Services in November of 2012 because they had apparently great rates with no commitment. When I was on the phone with the agent I even said something to the effect of them sounding too good to be true, and I was assured, I would only have a monthly bill, which I could suspend at any point for 6 months with no penalty (I wasn't told until months later that I would still have to pay! Not sure how that's suspending and account, but OK), and there was NO COMMITMENT. Fairly soon (within two months), I was hit with a $125 fee, which I was told after the fact, would be annual. This November 2013, I realized that I was not using the service, was not going to be using the service, and was still paying the monthly fee. I didn't want to be hit with the unmentioned "annual fee" so I decided to cancel.AT NO POINT was I ever told $350 would be deducted from my account as a "cancellation" fee. This COMPLETELY contradicts everything I was told verbally when I applied for the account. Now I am reading online that MANY PEOPLE have had the exact same experience with this company! And what really upsets me is that when I checked into this company with the Revdex.com last year, they had an A+ rating? As a good faith gesture one of LEADERS merchant services supervisors offered to refund $100 of the ETF because the merchant was within days of completing her first year when her account was closed. LEADERS does not owe this merchant any refunds since the $350 ETF was in her signed contract. The merchants bank returned the $350 ETF to LEADERS as unpaid on 11/27/2013 so at this point the merchant would be sent to collections. As a Final Good Faith Gesture LEADERS will waive the collection balance for the ETF making the merchant free and clear of this obligaiton to LEADERS. Review: I have been very disappointed with my experiences with Leaders and their staff. As a Psychotherapist running my own private practice, I wanted to be able to accept Medical Flex Spending account cards from my clients, to allow them to access their flex monies directly when pay a co-pay or deductible. When I contacted the company, I specifically said that I wanted to be able to do those type of transactions. Mike Ford and Penelope both assured me that they understood my needs and were setting up the account with medical spending processing capability. In order to received my statement, I had to specifically call the company for them to email it to me. When I asked to have it automatically send to me,I was told they couldn't send financial information that way. I think won't vs. can't is more accurate. They were pretty on it when they automatically transferred my money out of my bank account. When I saw the invoice, I was over charged for the transactions I made. 10% of my income was taken by them. When I called they said the reason was they were off-line, non-qualifying cards. As they explained the types of cards, I explained that none of the cards that I ran met their definition. I was told that it might have keyed in cards. I explained that I didn't key-in any cards. I was told by, Beau, that I couldn't run debit or flex cards w/out a PIN pad. That was never discussed and I was not offered that, as I use the system from my iPhone. Beau also said the "grid had changed" before my account was set. Never understood what that meant. Despite the numerous possible reasons for the over charges- nobody was able to adjust the charges to the correct rate for the kinds of cards they really were.When I asked to close my account and have the ETF waived, I was total that wasn't possible. I talked with several people, Mike and Penelope (sales/set-up). Christina, Beau, Jasmine, Joanne and Sarah Donato in customer service. LEADERS takes all complaints received from the Revdex.com very seriously. We would like to point out that we mail the merchant a hard copy of her statement each month. We do not send them electronically via e-mail, but the merchant could have opted to have access to her account transactions via iAccess if she had chosen to pay for that service. We have reviewed the records on this account and have determined that the merchant was told Flexible Spending Account cards would qualify for the 1.55% rate. Unfortunately these types of cards actually fell into the merchants’ non-qual rate of 5.89%, so LEADERS will refund the merchant the difference of the rates. The total volume the merchant processed at the rate of 5.89% was $785.00. The merchant paid $46.24 for the non-qual rate. The amount she was quoted would have equaled $12.17 at the 1.55% rate. The total refund to the merchant will be $34.07. The merchant should expect to see this refund in 7-10 business days. As a good faith gesture LEADERS will close the merchants account per the request in this complaint and waive the $350 Early Termination Fee. I am rejecting this response because: Today, 9-23-13 I received a bill for $167.29. The bill said I have 10 days to pay before collections. The bill is inaccurate. It does not reflect the payment I sent on 9-6-13 , recv'd by the 9-9-13 and cashed through my bank on 9-13-13. That payment was by check for $133.22. It doesn't account for adjustment they made to subtract $35.07 for inaccurate billing or the $129.00 refund they said they were paying me-

I need a check for the $129.00 and a statement showing that my account is paid in full and I have closed my account.

Review: I was offered this with zero monthly fees outside of the percentage due when a charge was made for the entire time I had the unit. After using it once, they started charging me for not using it every month (was not supposed to be part of the deal) as well as additional monthly fees. When I contacted them they said the terms changed and I was responsible for the fees. I said that wouldn't be worth it for me and that I wanted to cancel it and they said that would cost me $350.00 to stop this. I have been trying to negotiate this however they denied my request and said there is no appeal process and would not provide me with contact information for the decision makers as it is internal.

At this point, I have sent back the unit and stopped the account but have not paid any money to them. I did not get my full credit for the one charge I did make either.

They did not deny that I was offered the unit under the terms of no monthly fees or minimums but claim that they are not bound to keep those terms and since I signed the initial contract I am bound to the fees. They made several threats about contacting the IRS and filing claims. I used the device once for about $45.00.Desired Settlement: I want my closing fee to be waived as the terms changed against what I was guaranteed by the individual representative and want my account with them to be deleted permanently. If it cannot be deleted, the waiving of the closing fee will be sufficient.

I am rejecting this response because:This company made unauthorized withdrawals from my bank account. They changed the terms of my contract without my approval or authorization and began making sizable withdrawals from my checking account. At no time did I authorize these withdrawals. The contract terms I agreed to were no fees. The withdrawals did not show up under the name of Leaders Merchant either which caused a great deal of confusion for me. I have closed the account and with the Revdex.com help had those fees reversed but am still looking at unauthorized withdrawals which also caused an unexpected overdraft on the account which brought on additional fees. I have contacted the bank and they are able to reverse one of the three withdrawals as it falls within the acceptable range for them. There are still 2 additional withdrawals and the late fee which I would like to be reversed. balance on this account."I am reviewing the bill and do not see anything that specifically says PCI Annual fee or collection fee so basically they are not offering to refund anything. Further, they are not offering any compensation for the much larger September money taken out of my account without authorization. I would like to reiterate that the terms I agreed to were No minimum use fee and no additional charges other than the percentage taken from the amount actually charged.I am attaching my statements so you can see how they classify the billing.Hopefully we can come to a reasonable resolution on this.I would like to sincerely like to thank you for your assistance in this matter.
