Review: I ordered my Karma to go Wireless unit a month ago. After multiple requests for contact by a supervisor via email or phone my requests have been ignored. Each week I've been promised a shipping date, the date keeps changing. On the date of this complaint I was told I would receive an email confirming shipment of my products. No such email came. I sent an email to Karma requesting contact regarding this issue, and no response was received.Desired Settlement: Immediate shipment of my product sent via next day air, partial refund of purchase price due to unreasonable shipping times.

Review: Yourkarma.com Karma Wireless presents itself as a legitimate wireless alternative business. They take ads on [redacted] and offer high speeds at limited cost, quick turnaround equipment and service. That is far from the case. The speeds they advertise and the unlimited data was quickly switched for expensive per GB data. Their equipment never arrives. The refund you request afterwards is never posted. This is all in all an indication of fraud. Revdex.com should and must investigate the practices for: False Advertisement, Faulty Product, Billing Fraud and other items. there are multiple similar cases.Desired Settlement: At the very least we want full refund and restitution of damages and costs related to lack of product and service and interest accumulated.

Review: Purchased hotspot for wifi and prepaid for three months service on 2/*/2016. I received an email from Karma on the same day I received my device and one sections stated "What happens to my subscription?

We know you recently ordered Karma Go and signed up for Neverstop. Since you already paid for Neverstop, we’ve credited $50 to your Karma account for that purchase. If you prepaid for multiple months of data, you will get $50 for each remaining month credited to your account.

You’ll be enrolled in the Pulse 5GB plan automatically when you activate your Karma. If you’d like the 10GB or 20GB plan instead, you can upgrade here. You’ll also get an exclusive 3-month discount on Pulse." I returned the item per a supplied shipping label from Karma

(Thanks for reaching out. Our returns are simple. If Karma Go isn't working out for you, return it to us within 45 days from the time it gets delivered to you for a full refund. We'll even pick up the tab on the shipping. You can use our Return Center for this: [redacted] or I can set everything up for you.

Let me know if you have any questions. Happy to help.)

It was received by Karma on February **, 2016. I reached out to the company via email and they confirmed receipt of my device. The email was received on March *, 2016 (Thank you for reaching out. It appears we have received your return and it's currently being processed at our warehouse.)

As of today March **, 2016 they have not refunded my $279.00Desired Settlement: Refund – of the amount paid for products or services if they were not delivered or were unsatisfactory.

Review: This company advertised unlimited, no caps, no throttling 5 mps minimum speed internet access. 3 weeks after purchase they sent email that they were throttling and 1 week later another email that your "unlimited" is now capped at 15 GB. Now they have changed yet again to a program that is even more expensive than most cell phone companies. It has been a total"bait an switch" operation. They are offering to refund, but if you don't bug them incessantly, you will not see a refund.Desired Settlement: Refund and this company should be put out of business.

Thank you for taking the time to offer up this feedback. To give a little insight into why we made this decision, we built Karma Go as a wireless mobile device, and built our data plans around that mobile use, not use at home. We underestimated how many people would want to use Karma for home, and our metrics were wrong. In the short term, the unlimited version of Neverstop will not return—we’re not able to sustain that kind of use. Bringing back unlimited or instituting a higher cap isn’t something we can support. While we can no longer offer the original product, we are happy to help you get your Karma Go returned for a full refund. You can set up your return at [redacted].If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me through support (attn: Erin). Best,Erin A[redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I have received communication from Karma that they will refund the price of the device which I have returned, but not the full purchase price, which included 1 month of unlimited data. However, on January [redacted] they charged my account for another month of unlimited data. Januar[redacted] they sent the email that, so sorry, unlimited has a limit of 15 GB, but once reached you will still be able to do email etc at slower speeds. The slower speeds wouldn't even download an email with no content except "test". In the subject. I expect the $99.00 I paid for the device and the $50.00 I paid for another month of unlimited data I did not receive.I have not yet received any refund at all.

Review: Karma sells a wireless mobile hotspot that fails to function consistently. I emailed their tech support who sent me a link for a return that does not work. Companies that represent they possess hardware or service should be held to the standard to actually make their product function. I am currently in New York City, where they claim to have coverage, and the device is completely useless. It failed to function for the past week up the entire eastern seaboard. I simply want this piece of junk returned and the company/State of NY Attorney General's office should be aware they are selling something that is never intended to function. This is simply fraud.Desired Settlement: $279 is owed. If they want the device returned, Karma needs to fix their return link and send me a shipping label.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

At first Karma provided quality 4g mobile internet and customer service. Recently Karma has changed its data plans which has angered many customers. I, for one, am an unhappy customer. I prepaid for a year's worth of service with their "neverstop" plan. This past month, Karma significantly changed its policy of the "neverstop" plan. I have sent numerous emails to discuss the issue, but I have been ignored. This company is in hiding now and will not address customer concerns. I will continue to try, but I have little hope of any correspondence. I would not recommend using their product or service.

Review: I signed up for the Karma Neverstop internet service for $50 a month for unlimited use. The company then decided to dramatically slow the speed down and shortly after decided to limit the usage to 15gb. They should honor their advertisement of the $50 a month for unlimited usage. If they have encountered issues then I should be grandfathered in and changes they wanted to make should only affect new customers.Desired Settlement: I would like to request what I had originally signed up for which is $50 a month for unlimited internet usage.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Company has been selling a product which doesn't exist as yet. Collects the money, has been delaying release since Dec. 2014, raises the price of the item from 100-150. Advertises like crazy selling more products which they can't deliver. Customers who cancel would need to buy their product (if it is completed) at a higher price so many hold out hoping it will come to fruition, meantime president of company releases monthly updates holding a carrot for completion that month...now doing weekly updates promising more of same, stopped responding on blog site.....
Wasn't [redacted] arrested for a scheme like this? Bigger bucks but still manipulating people and money. My advice to anyone considering buying anything from Karma is don't until they actually have a product to sell!

Review: I bought the never stop unlimited plan from Karma Mobility and now I got an email saying I have hit my limit of 15GB contradicting their own service. First this limitation imposed is ridiculous. The connection is now unusable I am am forced to use my cellular service now just so I can send this message because I can't connect otherwise. Ever since they started "tweaking" the connection I have not seen the same connection speed and I have seen my signal strength decrease. I feel these "changes" have been made with no regard to the customer and are being made to ensure higher profits at the cost of the consumer.Desired Settlement: I would like the service restored to the original state that I purchased.

Review: Karma sold a product called Neverstop. Before I EVEN got the device they changed the deal. It was supposed to be 50/month unlimited internet. They then changed the plan to 15 gig /month then without my consent removed Neverstop and started billing me on another plan I did NOT approve. Absolutely a bait and switch operation.Desired Settlement: I want them to be forced to honor the original deal. The ONLY reason I bought the device (which you have to buy to use their service) was unlimited internet (albeit at 5mb sec) for daily use.

Review: I signed up and paid the Karma Go device and selected the "neverstop" service which was advertised at 5mbps speed and unlimited data. I received the device a week later and it was only producing 1.46mbps. I sent an email to ask why and I received a letter back that said they had so much success that they were overloaded and have reduced the speeds to keep up with demand. The website a day later (January [redacted]) now states the service is 2-3mbps. The service has increased to 2mbps. I paid $149 for the device and service and never got what they advertised. Now I have an internet that is less than half the speed as advertised at the same price.

I sent a complaint about the false advertising and service and Karma won't respond.

I have a copy of the letter received.Desired Settlement: I would prefer the 5mbps as advertised when I purchased the device, but if they can't do that I'd like to pay 2/5ths the cost per month to reflect the service I am getting. The monthly fee is $50, so I'd like to pay $20 until they provide what was advertised.

Response:

We made a mistake. We modeled Neverstop usage to be much higher than usage on Refuel. But we never anticipated that some customers would use over 1,000GB a month. But usage this high is not something that will work today. The other thing made clear in your feedback is that speed is important. Slowing it down was not a good solution, which is understandable.Getting online with Neverstop should be simple and work well for most use cases. So here's the update:-5Mbps up and down speeds are back-A new monthly limit of 15GB. If you surpass this, you’ll still be online but with minimal speeds good enough for emailing and messaging-Earn a $1 credit for each unused GBOnce we launch, everyone on Neverstop will get a fresh start at 0GB. Based on current usage, this change will have little to no impact for most of you, while still reducing strain on the service. But, if you’re looking to binge watch Netflix 24/7, this probably isn’t the product for you.You can contact support directly with any additional concerns or if you'd like to return the device for a full refund. Best,Erin A[redacted]

Review: I purchased the Karma Go product of this company on December ** 2014 (invoice number [redacted]) for $99.00. The website indicated the delivery of the product would be early January 2015. I contacted the company yesterday to ask about the delivery again as I have not received the product yet. The customer service representative [redacted] indicated the expected delivery date is mid April. This is unacceptably too long for me. This company has sold this product to me under false promises of the expected delivery date of the product on their website advertising.Desired Settlement: I like the company to refund my full purchase price of $99.00 back to my Paypay account or mail a check of equivalent amount to my address.

Hi Revdex.com, [redacted] replied to an email sent to her explaining the shipping update for the Karma Go at 05:29 pm EST on 1/**/15. Karma's customer service hours are M-F 9am-6pm EST so her email was not responded to before the close of the business day due to a high volume of emails. She was responded to at 09:02 am EST on 1/**/15 stating her order was cancelled and her money was refunded. The refund would be processed through [redacted] as that was her original form of payment. Ms. Uysal gave us less then one business day to respond her to cancellation request. It is not our practice to hold anyone's money against their wishes. Thanks for your time.

Review: In December , 2015 I went on line at yourkarma.com to enroll for enrollment in a device that will give me unlimited Wifi service through this device. I have not been able to log in any of the tablets or my phone on this device since I got it. I have asked for a full refund after countless emails saying that I need someone to call me so that I can connect the device to my tablets and the phones. Yet all I get is an email back telling me to try something different. I have paid for something that does not work $150 for the device and a monthly fee of $50. I want a full refund for the entire investment for the scam. No one has yet to call me back, nor is there a number I can call.

They lie about their Neverstop plan and change in 2 week on the plan and add data cap when they told use they never put a data cap and throttle or speed

Review: Karma pulled a bait and switch. They advertised their WiFi service for never stop as worry free unlimited data. They said it was 5 mbps no cap no throttle. They advertised this service for heavy usage and being able to stream videos all I want. After two weeks into the service I got an email stating that the service was never intended for heavy use and that the customers had been abusing the service. They altered their advertisement and dropped the internet speed to 1.5 Mbps at best. At times I could not even connect. All communication attempts by me was answered with an automated response saying karma was closed for the weekend even when I emailed during the week.Desired Settlement: I would like the unlimited data for the month I paid for with no throttle. I paid for what they had advertised and that is what I expect to get.

I do not accept these terms. I paid for unlimited data at 5mbps. for one month. I want that and no less. If you do not want to give me this I will gladly accept a check for $845. you breached the one month contract that occurred when you took my money for the service you advertised and later decided to change what you provided before my term was up.

I reject this offer. I am tired of you canned response. This will never get resolved unless you come up with a better offer. Karma is a sham and I will not rest until the world knows. For further details you can read my previous message and go from there. The more rejections the lower your score.have a good day.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

I purchased the Karma device solely because of the UNLIMITED DATA offering with speeds up to 5MBS for $50.00 a month. What I received was a device that can NOT handle any basic internet tasks because the speeds were throttled to below dial-up connection speeds. Customer service is sporadic with canned responses initially from a bot. There is no phone support what-so-ever. Absolutely THE WORST business practices I've ever experienced.

Review: The product came fast, was a quality modem, and worked at a high speed HOWEVER, I ordered an unlimited wifi plan that rolled out only months ago just to find out AFTER I had ordered it that they will no longer carry that plan, I made this discovery of change MYSELF (I saw an amount of data left section on my account), they do not have a support phone number, it doesn't work for all my gadgets, I had to email them and wait days for a generic reply, they would not honor my plan purchase, they gave me a "credit" to my account and said I could return the modem for a refund but did not reply back with return procedures, nor answer my questions regarding a refund for the service plan I PAID FOR that wasn't honored. The website is detrimentally simplistic and designed for sales only. Shady shady shady! If you reference their [redacted] website and posts, you will find that complaints are pouring in daily on the same complaints I have had. I only wish that I had known this before using my money on it. I also thought it was a requirement for them to have a working phone number?Desired Settlement: Either honor my original purchase or refund my entire purchase including shipping in a timely manner (since I only purchased this item for the unlimited wifi and already had a wifi hotspot provider), which should only take a couple days and not 3 weeks as one [redacted] poster has complained. I also want my card taken off of auto-debit.

Review: The company promised an unlimited volume of data, with the only limit being speed.

From their own web site introducing the product:

"There are no data caps on Neverstop. Instead, your upload and download speeds will max out at 5Mbps, which is enough to do just about anything online, including streaming music and video. "

I ordered their service based on this promise and paid for three months in advance. However, before my product even arrived, they changed their service, limiting the data to less, and costing more, than the service I left when I signed on for their product.

This is a clear, blatant case of bait and switch.Desired Settlement: I want the product I was promised. If forced, I'll take a complete refund, but honestly these guys should be prosecuted. They clearly made promises they had no intention of keeping.

Review: Was promised with multiple advertisements of unlimited data at 5 mbps without a cap. Purchased product for $99 and paid a month in advance for service. On 1/** at 10 am received following email message (which limits usage at 15gb cap with .12 mbps speed after, which is completely unusable):

Neverstop Update

Listen, iterate, simplify.

Last week we announced that we were testing lower speeds to find a way to reduce strain on Neverstop. At the same time we asked for your input to improve it and have spent the last week analyzing your feedback.

What Happened

We made a mistake. We modeled Neverstop usage to be much higher than usage on Refuel. But we never anticipated that some customers would use over 1,000GB a month.

Some of you asked why we don't kick off the bad guys. Frankly, we don't think there are any bad guys. We offered an all-you-can-surf option, and people took us up on it. That's on us.

But usage this high is not something that will work today.

The other thing made clear in your feedback is that speed is important. Slowing it down was not a good solution, which is understandable.

What’s Next

Getting online with Neverstop should be simple and work well for most use cases. Here's the update:

5Mbps up and down speeds are coming back

Get 15GB of data per month. After this, you’ll still be online but with speeds good enough for emailing and messaging

Earn a $1 credit for each unused GB

Beginning today at 10am ET, everyone on Neverstop will get a fresh start at 0GB. Based on current usage, this change will have little to no impact for most of you, while still reducing strain on Neverstop. But, if you’re looking to binge watch [redacted] 24/7, this probably isn’t the product for you. If that’s the case, head to our returns page and we’ll take it from there.

Our mission is providing you frictionless internet connectivity. Now it's our job to continue iterating to make it happen. There’s a lot to be done.Desired Settlement: Fulfillment of services with unlimited data at advertised 5 mbps, or at least an increase from 15 gb cap to 50 gb cap to meet rational compromise.
