real professional quick service. a/c was repaired on the spot. five stars.
Had to have my A/C repaired during one of the hotter periods in July. Repairman arrived at my home at time promised. Diagnosed problem as: 1)Starter Capacitor on compressor motor gone bad, and 2) Low feron....almost empty. Capacitor was replaced and feron added to system. Total cost was $597 and change. Although higher than I thought it should be, was happy to have my A/C badk and running. However, that feeling was short lived. During the night woke up due to higher than normal indoor temp. Checked thermostat...indoor temperature started going back up during the night. Next morning had to call Johnson Heating and Cooling back. Advised them still had a problem with the A/C...still not working correctly. The sent out the same repairman I had the day before. He indicated I still had a feron leak in the system. Within 15 minutes he located a 'suspicious' cut in one of the copper lines going into the furnace. Re-blazed the cut and solved the feron leak problem. Did not charge for this repair. A/C now (as of 7/8/19) working correctly.
The reason for my rating is two fold: 1) the high initial cost of the first repair. I was told my system is older and uses a feron gas that is no longer manufactured. 2) I was charged for a Service club membership which provided the benefit 'free' maintenance for 1 year (which I would have turned down had I understood that this service club was not free). In short the 'club membership and the feron represented $215 and $254, respectively, of the $597.00 total bill
We hate to hear our technician missed the leak in your system. Although we do our best to make sure everything is perfect on the first visit, sometimes we will miss something when the system has multiple issues. It is good to hear we were able to get back the next day and get your cooling working again at no additional charge. We are sorry you felt the price was not where it should be. The club membership not only gets your HVAC system cleaned and inspected twice a year, it also gets you discounts on repairs, the service call, and priority service 24 hours a day 7 days a week. J came to our house on Saturday June 29 when temp was 90 and our AC was out. He quickly found our problem and corrected it.
Just had ***r for spring check up. Johnson H&C has many good technicians and *** is one of the best I've had for service. I think he did a better cleaning job than most technicians I've had in the past. Friendly and explained everything he was doing. I hope to get him back for the fall service. *** J

Johnson Heating and Cooling came to the rescue when out AC unit was not working correctly. They were frank and honest about our situation which was a relief after dealing with another company who tried to mask the problem we had.
Everyone was friendly, very informative and helpful. The crew arrived on time and did not leave until everything was back in place and working as well or better then when they got here.

and his apprentice *** did a great job in every way in repairing my septic pipe. They knew what they were doing, were professional and great to be around. The projectvwas a hard one, but they completed to perfection. A+, 5-star experience!
