We've reviewed your account. Per our cancellation policy we're unable to refund you for your May [redacted] bookings. Anytime you cancel bookings within 2 hours of the scheduled date and time the charge is nonrefundable. We do not schedule any bookings for customers. All customer must place orders for...

cleanings online. At one point you placed 3 orders for recurring services. This means you had 3 active services all scheduling bookings. This is how you ended up with 3 bookings on the same day. We allow customer's to schedule bookings as needed and we do have customers that need more than one professional. We send 7 day reminders for all bookings and you would have received 3 emails for the 3 appointments scheduled for May [redacted] giving you ample time to cancel the bookings you no longer wanted. Regarding the cancellation fee of $25 we've refunded that to you on May[redacted]. Typically refunds take 3 to 5 business days. Regarding the professional that did a poor job we have blacklisted them from your account to ensure you never get them again. Best,[redacted]

and any frustration caused. When Peter initially signed up for service and scheduled an October [redacted] booking he also signed up for a cleaning plan that repeats every 2 weeks. That cleaning plan has been canceled and no future bookings will be generated. We refunded your card for $54 at this time. You can expect to receive it in 3 to 5 business days. Unfortunately the other 3 charges for $54 each were disputed with your bank. As a result our system will not allow us to process the refund and you will have to wait for the dispute to be resolved by your bank. As requested, we've deactivated your account. If your signed in on any devices please sign out to complete the process. We've also requested for your credit card information to be removed from the system. There was no week prior email nor 24 hour reminder. Can Handy prove that these notifications were sent? Doubt it. I just scoured my email and there is no correspondence from Handy regarding a week or 24 hour notification. The reason for the late cancellation was due to the fact that I received a text message an hour and a half before a scheduled booking I had no idea I had scheduled. Funny thing is Handy advertises a "100% money back guarantee." See attached picture. I guess what I should have done is completed the cleaning, called them back right after their cleaner left and told them I was dissatisfied with the job. That seems ethical and fair. For more disgruntled clients comments referencing their terrible customer service, lies and deceit, check out the companies [redacted] page [redacted] There is a comment that they owe someone money from July. In my case NO SERVICES WERE RENDERED so how can they justify keeping my money? We need to do something to shut this company down! Thank you,[redacted]

Totally not worth it. Worst customer service ever. Cleanings are hit or miss. Sometimes people show, sometimes they don't. Constant double charging and you have to fight for refunds. They do not honor the guarantee unless you harass. They will send people to your home unannounced. Horrible service and dangerous given they are sending strangers into your home.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I would like to speak to a representative of Handy - they only offer [redacted] messaging and emails.  The damage is clearly due to improper installation by their Handyperson, and while it was a year ago, the 72 hour rule for damage shouldn't really be in place for their contractors.  Do they only guarantee the work done by their HandyPeople for 72 hours?  They should be more explicit about that. The only note I saw on the website was 100% money back guarantee.    I also find it hard to believe that they have no customer service to talk to somebody for escalated situations.  There has been NO movement on Handy's part to try and resolve this issue.This does NOT resolve my complaint.

 This is my second complaint with Handy.com related to the same issue of not removing my cc information from the website despite repeated emails, phone calls, Revdex.com complaint where they said they would , and a further phone call after 5 days ( 8/**) , where they then said the agent didn't do it and assured me it would be done and it still is not ( 9/*/15) I have been requesting this since MAY of 2015!!remove cc information from their records and from website immediately

I did not sign up for any service. You elected to sign me up. Furthermore, you failed to notify me in advance that you were sending someone. In the past, when I did use your service, you always notified me that I had someone coming days in advance so that I could cancel or change the appointment.

the business seems NOT to have read my correspondence at all. I myself did not cancel the appointment, Handy rep did when she closed the duplicate account that the appointment was attached to. Had I known that I'd be charged for the closed appointment, I would have kept it.
Handy does not seem to care about keeping its customers. I will certainly NOT use it anymore and I will make sure to inform all my friends about the treatment I received from them, They stole my $58. Horrible company!!!

Handy is a service that provides "professionals" for work around the home. I have used them for apartment cleaning in NYC. Overall the service is ok but I have two major issues that are not. While you can add services (more frequency, window cleaning, etc) from the online app and website you can not delete these services without contacting the company. You also can not stop your service without contacting company. I have also had 3 occasions where the "professional" did not show up. They did refund my money promptly but it is also inconveinent when this happens.
