Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
The fact that ***s response says in this statement that it was a "phantom" vehicle that merged into my vehicle when the police report that I sent to Geico says that "It was a black *** that hit the front side of my car while trying to merge into my lane." I also did when I spoke to the first agent did tell her that I thought that the other car struck my right front tire causing the crash because of the damage to my right front tire The call that was on the 22nd of February was to inquire what was going on with the claim because once again no one from Geico had contacted me over the claimI was then once again what happen in the accident which then I proceeded to have to tell this agent again about the accident and what had happenedI was told about the uninsured motorist coverage and told them I believed the car hit me because the damage to my passenger side tire was not involved in hitting the wallThe damage that was cause by the wall was to the driver side of the vehicle not to the passenger side of the vehicle, so I told Geico that was the reason I believed that the other vehicle had hit my carThe first adjuster that I saw did say that it did look that the other car could of struck my passenger side tire because of all of the damage from the wall was located on the driver sideI then once again waited weeks until I saw *** *** their field investigatorI then met *** in the parking lot of my work before I had to go into workThere was never to a recorded statement made by me on March 28, 2014, and if there was a recorded statement made by me on that date I was not made aware of thisThe conversation I had with *** was general talking about where I was working, where I was going to school, etcWe briefly talked about the vehicle, but like I told him I believed the vehicle struck my car because of all the damage done to this tireThere was no other possible way to explain the damage to this tire because that side of the vehicle never made contact with the wallAlso, the police report does show in his diagram of what happened at the scene the other vehicle striking my carThe officer at the scene also believed that the car had struck my vehicle, and thought of it to be a hit and runI can not understand based on the damage to that tire on the right side how this does not show enough evidence of the black *** hitting my vehicleI was specifically told by one of the Geico people that my tire would easily be enough damage to prove that I was hit by this *** and that I would be covered under Uninsured Motorist

I am rejecting this response because: They did not openly tell me about the balanced owed I would not have signed up for their policy if I had known I had a policy that was current No where on the screen or on the receipts received did it tell me that I paid the I did not find out they took out the until I checked the balance late that evening with my bank online When I first signed up with *** insurance, I was aware of the past balance before I signed up for services It showed it in bold letters on the screen According to Geico it was at the bottom of my screen, it must have been so small, I couldn't read it or notice it

May 21, 2014Dear *** ***:This will acknowledge receipt of your request regarding the above named insured’s private passenger automobile policyI have carefully reviewed the matter and my findings are as follows:
In *** ***’s correspondence to your organization he expressed
concern that he was sold a policy by GEICO and incurred an increase in premium after he had made the decision to purchase and cancel his prior policyHe alleges that the GEICO agent was aware of all of his driving activity when the policy was sold.GEICO’s records show that the policy in question was bound on May 11, to be effective May 12, As a result of an isolated agent error, an accident dated August 31, was not added to the policyPlease note that *** *** was given an opportunity to disclose the details of the lossBased upon his description, the loss was added as a not-at-fault occurrence dated August 1, with less than one thousand dollars in property damageOn May 12, the error was found by GEICO’s underwriting division and the accident was updated to reflect the facts (*** *** was at-fault and the damages exceeded five thousand dollars)This resulted in a surcharge of $being added to the policyPer New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance Regulation, there is a day window in which the insurer has to make adjustments to the policy placement and/or premium based upon additional and/or changed activity and/or underwriting information obtainedIt is GEICO’s position that all proper procedures were followed in the handling of the policy in questionIf you have any questions, or if GEICO can be of any further service in this matter, please contact me at ###-###-####.Very truly yours,Michael *S*** GEICO’s Executive Office
Dear Sir
I’m currently in a dispute with GEICO an insurance company and I’m required to pay $6, for damages to their customer carsIt happened when I was going to work on my bicycleWe live on a steep hill and my brakes failed and I accidently crashed into that vehicleI was injured and taken to hospital on an ambulanceI missed days of work and got reimbursed by GEICOThe amount stated above is a result of not having an insurance policyCyclist don’t have insurances and I feel that I’m a victim of an inadequate policy that does not satisfy other members of the communityThey shouldn’t demand any damages from me but pay with their clients insurance policy and without a change in policy many members of the community are at risk of being charged exorbitant amounts of money for situations they have little or no control ofPersonally, I work part-time, live in Government housing and unable to pay the stated amountThey have not resolved the dispute as they would between one or two insurance providers which leaves me greatly unsatisfied by the result of their claimI was only reimbursed for missed days of work and not of the injuries sustained and I’m about to be victimized by this legal issue for a long timeHelp me and set a better standard in the marketplaceGeico has since moved by case to Jonathan N*** & Associates, INC 1***V***a Blvd., Suite T***, California 9***

Dear Mr***:
This is in response to your correspondence received in our Washington, D.CExecutive OfficesIt was referred to the Dallas, TX Regional Office for a reply
We are sorry to hear of Mr***’s rejection of our response dated August 25, We can certainly understand Mr***’s concern regarding the rates for his auto insurance, whether the change is 1% or 25%
Mr***’s automobile policy renewed, effective March 19, through September 19, 2015, at a six-month premium of $with a *** (copy enclosed)
A Sponsored Marketing discount for Mr***’s *** *** membership was added, effective February 24, The discount revised the March 19, through September 19, renewal amount to $(copy enclosed)
Mr*** replaced the *** with a ***, effective June 30, The pro-rated amount from June 30, until September 19, was only centsThe total revised six-month premium was $(copy enclosed);
Mr***’s automobile policy renewed, effective September 19, through March 19, 2016, with the ***, at a six-month premium of $(copy enclosed)
Mr***’s renewal policy reflected two premium increase adjustments:
• A statewide rate revision, for Texas renewals, with an effective date on or after September 11,
• The vehicle symbols for Mr***’s *** were revised
We apologize that the renewal premium is unsatisfactory to Mr***We appreciate the years he has been insured with GEICO and regret it was necessary to increase his rates due to the overall loss experience in TexasWe will be unable to revise his policy to reflect the previous rate
Please be assured we share Mr***’s concern over the rising cost of insurance and are doing everything we can to keep our rates as low as possibleWe do believe, however, in the long run, his GEICO rates will prove favorable when compared with others

Houston TX 77057-
In December I had to change my auto policy from full coverage ($per month down to storage policy approx $per month) due to my health I had to cut my work hours down from hours per week to hrs per weekSo I need to park my car and not drive it bc I cannot afford full coverageOn the 29th they took out of my account $instead of $as we had just worked out over the phone promissing that I could change my policy with no problemI have called and spoken to one of Geico's agents around 7-times trying to get them to re deposit the money back into my account as they promised and offered, only to check my account and see they are going to charge me AGAIN the wrong higher amount(They send me e mails stating how much and the date of the automatic withdrawal) And my car is not even being drivenYesterday I talked to Tom (very nice) and he said yes, they made several mistakes in financing, and he did not understand whySo after a long phone call AGAIN I said just keep the money and now I'm paid up until May? He said yes youre all paid now through MayI just got a phone call from customer service apologizing for this messThen Lorena told me that no, I'm not paid till may and in January will owe $48.20!! I cannot believe how incompetent Geico has been with meI'd cancel but don't want a lapse in my insurance coverage on my recordThey really have the upper hand here because there's nothing I can do at this point even after plus phone calls to themI will change insurance companies as soon as I'm back on my feet again and healthyFortunately every time I spoke with an agent I wrote down notes, dates, times and names of every phone callThey really let me down
I decided to switch back to Geico after wanting a better online experienceI've had them once before, and they really didn't handle a claim well - one in which I was not at fault, had a police report stating that as wellBut I thought, why not give them a second chance?
Well, the original quote I got was for $120/month, but then they ran mine and my husbands driving record and found a couple issues and it went up to $160/monthFine and dandy, they were legitI signed up, paid the first month and got a schedule of payments for the next weeks later I receive an "updated" price, saying once again, that due to our driving records, there would be an increase up to $210/monthI immediately called customer service and after min of prompts, finally got a human beingWho informed me they found more on my driving recordTHE EXACT SAME THINGS THEY FOUND THE FIRST TIME AROUNDWhen I asked why it went up again, all I was told was that well we found those thingsI made the argument that yes, you already found those things - why is it different now? No real answerI'm now trying to cancel my plan, because obviously I don't want to give money to such a shady company who can't even explain why they would just increase from to to for the exact same issueMakes no sense, and their customer service department clearly just follows a script and has NO IDEA why things are doneDON'T USE GEICONot unless you like having your money essentially stolen
June 11, Dear *** ***:This will acknowledge receipt of your request regarding the above named insured’s private passenger automobile policyI have carefully reviewed the matter and my findings are as follows:In *** ***’s correspondence to your organization he expresses concern that GEICO has increased has premium and terminated his contract mid-term.GEICO’s records show that *** purchased a GEICO policy to be effective April 14, When he purchased the policy he selected Personal Injury Protection (PIP) option “U” with a limit of 15,In order to maintain that coverage New Jersey Department of Insurance Regulation dictates that a completed and signed coverage selection form be on file showing the election of coverage*** *** did not complete the coverage selection form as advised by the selling agent and the PIP limit was changed to the default of option “E” with a limit of 250,This resulted in a premium increase of $330.90.Paperwork explaining the change in coverage, as well as a new form and instructions were sent to *** *** to give him another opportunity to lower his premiumTo date, the completed form has not been received by GEICO.On May 10, *** ***’s automated credit card payment was declinedA notice of cancellation was sent on May 14, advising that if a payment of $was not received by May 30, the policy would be cancelledThe payment was not received and the policy was cancelled. In *** ***’s correspondence, he also alleges that “GEICO produced charges of for an accident dated 11/3/GEICO has no record of the loss in question. It is GEICO’s position that all proper procedures were followed in the handling of the policy in question*** *** did not complete the form as required by New Jersey regulation causing an increase in coverage and subsequent increase in premiumThe policy has since cancelled for nonpayment of premiumIf you have any questions, or if GEICO can be of any further service in this matter, please contact me at ###-###-####.Very truly yours,

Dear ***:
Thank you for your recent inquiry dated May 18, 2014. I welcome the opportunity to respond to ***’s automobile insurance policy concerns
***’s policy was issued on April 17, to be effective April 19, with a six month premium of $and a down payment of $248.22. When the down payment was processed, it was declined
*** made a replacement payment of $on April 21, through GEICO.com. On April 25, 2014, this payment was also returned.
I have enclosed a Statement of Account for your review
Because the original down payment was returned, her policy was null and void effective for the original policy effective date of April 19, 2014. Since the payment was not honored there was no consideration for the contract, the requirements under which her insurance policy was issued were not satisfied.
I hope this information will assist you in resolving this matter. If additional information is required, please contact *** *** at ###-###-#### or via email at *** Her office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:a.mto 4:p.mEST

I am rejecting this response because:
BAIT AND SWITCH -- THE GEICO EMPLOYEE whom I spoke with on the phone incorrectly, misled, or assumed I had coverage...etc when I requested RV InsuranceI purchased a USED RV It's a RV I knew driving it from *** Georgia to *** ***, Oregon I was taking an older vehicle I knew could break down! I was adamant about having coverage for a breakdown, collision, anything I knew I could run into an emergency situation I was very clear with the GEICO representative about my concern I was assured I had rental car coverage and motel coverage's
I would have never purchased the insurance if I was not going to be covered in case of an emergency breakdown I knew I was taking a risk driving the RV over miles THAT'S WHY I GOT INSURANCE AND COVERED ALL MY BASES ON THE PHONE WITH THE GEICO REP I took the word of the representative that I would be coveredSo when I did break down Geico found the loophole in the policy not to pay I cannot begin to express my frustration and feelings of betrayal
My intentions were to keep myself safe and completely insured due to my situation I could not have been more clear on the phone.
I want Geico to cover my expenses like I was led to believe would happen if I broke down in my RV on my long trip from *** I was just trying to protect myself with Geico insurance They said they would do it on the phone That's why I purchased the insuranceThis is wrong in every sense of this situation

We received your letter regarding *** ***’s request to remove her daughter, ***, from her policy
Our records show that *** *** called our office on July 7, and requested to add her daughter to her auto policy. Due to ***’s age and driving activity the addition of *** as an active driver not only resulted in an increase in premium but a change in company placement as well. A letter was mailed to *** *** on July 9, informing her that this change would be effective July 27, 2014.
*** *** contacted our office on July 10, with regards to removing *** from her auto policy. Due to the fact *** was under years of age and had two occurrences, our agent advised *** *** that we would require her to submit proof that *** was listed on another policy or proof that *** was not a resident of her home The information we requested was received on July 17, and *** was removed from the policy effective the July 27, date she was to be made active

Dear ***:
We received your inquiry dated July 17, 2014, on behalf of *** ***
*** reported this loss to us on July 1, 2014, at 9:a.mreporting that he parked his *** *** at his apartment and noticed damage the following morningHe reported the date of loss as June 30, 2014, at 10:p.m. We listed this as a non-fault parking loss. We put *** into a rental vehicle beginning July 1, 2014, and scheduled a vehicle inspection
On July 3, 2014, our auto damage adjuster, *** ***, completed an inspection of the vehicleOn the same day, *** submitted a referral to our Special Investigative Unit as the damages were not consistent with a parked vehicle lossThe inspection revealed that the vehicle appeared to be in motion at the time of the impact and struck something white in color, and that the wheel damage looked like it was caused by contact with a curb. We contacted *** the same day, advising him that he would need to return the rental vehicle until an additional investigation was completed.
The *** has been insured with GEICO General Insurance Company since February 8, 2012, with collision and comprehensive deductibles of $500.00. On June 23, at 9:p.m*** *** lowered his collision and comprehensive deductible online to $
On July 3, 2014, we received a letter of representation from Attorney *** *** and have made the attorney aware of our coverage investigation. We also explained to *** that until our investigation is complete, we would not be able to extend ***’s rental.
On July 11, 2014, *** spoke with liability supervisor, *** ***, asking that his rental be extended because the rental company is calling him. Again, he was told that we are investigating the circumstances surrounding the loss, as well as coverage, and we are not in a position to extend his rental
On July 17, 2014, our Special Investigation Unit representative, *** ***, met with *** and his attorney to complete an interview with ***. *** stated that his vehicle was parked in a visitor’s parking spot in his apartment complex on June 30, 2014, and when he came out to his vehicle on July 1, 2014, he noticed the damage. *** advised that he agrees that *** ***’s vehicle appeared to be in motion when it hit something white in color. Also, *** advised that we cannot prove the date of loss based on the information currently on the file. Confirming the date of loss is important due to the recent changes in coverageAt this point, it appears the damage claimed is resulting from an incident other than how it was reported, and our investigation is continuing

Dear Ms***:
New Roman">
This will acknowledge receipt of your request regarding the above named insured’s private passenger automobile policy.
In Mr***’s correspondence to your organization he expresses concern regarding the cancellation of his GEICO automobile insurance policy for non-payment of premium and subsequent reporting of the cancellation to the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV). He explains that GEICO’s reporting of the cancellation for non-payment of premium has resulted in higher premium quotes with other insurance companies. Mr*** has requested for GEICO to remove this reporting from his RMV record or reduce his monthly installments to $200-$a month
GEICO’s records show that Mr*** purchased the policy in question on September 4, to be effective September 7, 2015. Mr*** scheduled a one-time payment of $to be processed onto his credit card on September 6, 2015. Unfortunately the payment was declined by Mr***’s financial institution Since the payment made to issue the policy was not honored by his financial institution, the policy was cancelled effective the inception date of the policy. Per Massachusetts regulation, GEICO reported to the RMV that the policy had cancelled for non-payment. Notification of the declined credit card payment and policy cancellation was sent to Mr*** on September 9,
On September 12, 2015, Mr*** contacted GEICO and reissued the policy with a lapse in coverage to be effective September 13, 2015. He made a down payment of $via credit card to bind the policy
On October 27, 2015, Mr*** contacted GEICO and reported a change of mailing address and rated location from Hull, MA to Fort Hood, TX. The policy was rewritten from Massachusetts to Texas effective November 20, 2015.
Mr*** contacted GEICO on October 15, and reported a change of address from Fort Hood, TX to Taunton, MA. A Massachusetts automobile insurance policy was written for Mr*** effective October 16, 2016. The premium of the policy was determined utilizing underwriting/rating rules and guidelines as filed and approved by the Massachusetts Division of Insurance
It is GEICO’s position that all proper procedures were followed in the handling of Mr***'s policy. GEICO maintains that the cancellation of the policy for non-payment of premium effective September 7, was valid and therefore cannot be removed from his RMV record. GEICO also maintains that the policy premium is accurate per all filed and approved underwriting/rating rules and guidelines by the Massachusetts Division of Insurance.
We would be happy to discuss premium reduction alternatives with Mr*** such as a change in coverage in an attempt to reduce his overall premium. GEICO’s customer service department is available hours a day to assist via telephone, ###-###-####.
