(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I did not terminate with freedom debt relief because I count afford my monthly payments. I terminated because no one was returning my emails after a month and over 6 + emails asking them why an account wasn't removed after they [redacted] it would be. I want to remove an account and add two other accounts. I had to file with consumer affairs and the Revdex.com TO Finally get a response from them. If I can't trust you to return my emails and do what you [redacted] you were going to do then why would I trust you with my money? They only sent me back $525 out of my $620. I was charged $95 in fees which is outraged which included a nsf fee because I closed my account so they couldn't charge me after I [redacted] I wanted to leave. They did nothing but take my money then charged me $95.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/10/15) */
Ms. [redacted] already received a refund of the amount in her dedicated account. The additional funds requested by Ms. [redacted] were the fees charged by her payment processor, Crossroads Financial. As a courtesy, we have refunded these fees to Ms. [redacted] as well.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: Freedom Debt Relief Sent me transcript of my account showing multiple deductions in large sum at crucial times in settlement agreement causing them to go null and void. Afterwards they renegotiated the same accout and charged additional settlement.
Sincerely,[redacted]

the fees returned to her. We have spoken with Ms. [redacted] and explained how our fees are only collected after we negotiate a settlement that our clients approve. As a courtesy, we have offered Ms. [redacted] a partial refund.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/01) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I received documentation from Freedom that they would in fact refund me $555, the paperwork is dated 6.17.15.
I filled out all paperwork on my end, signed and returned it to them, meeting all deadlines - 6.20.15.
I see they responded on 6.21, so they clearly received everything.
As of July 1, I am still awaiting payment. And no one will return my calls.

Mr. [redacted] joined our program in June of 2015 and in the first 3 months we were able to negotiate a settlement with one of his creditors. The payment of the negotiated settlement was made on time to the creditor, but the creditor made an...
error in processing the payment and rejected the settlement. Our Payment processing team is working with the creditor to reverse the amount paid and as a courtesy we have refunded our settlement fee to Mr. [redacted].
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/11/27) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
To my knowledge and due to the fact that I had to open a complaint with Revdex.com, they decided to investigate into the case and re-open. I was contacted by an agent and was instructed they were working with the creditor to honor the settlement. Now, as far as the courtesy refund I never received any notice nor the actual money back to my account. I even contacted the bank that Freedom use as the trustee and they said they have no knowledge of any refund. If the refund is true please provide details as to when was it processed and where. This makes the whole process more disappointing than what it is already. First company did not follow through with the process and now it seems they are lying about a courtesy refund for the settlement fees. Please provide proof.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2015/12/07) */
We have contacted Mr. [redacted] and confirmed that his refund was processed.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I received the refund thank you. However wanted to make something clear. The refund received by Freedom Debt was not a courtesy refund. Since the creditor did not honor the settlement and was forced to refund the amount paid, freedom was also forced to refund their fees as well since at the end of the day the settlement never happened. I also want to thank Kavin Mudd from Freedom Debt as so it seems was the only person to actually care and did the right thing.

I was charged over $3000 in fees I never agreed to. I had only about $500 returned. I did have my funds returned. But if we need to have a middle ground, then I'll settle for $1200 in fees returned.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2015/11/09) */
Ms. [redacted] has requested to terminate from our program. Although we have on file that Ms. [redacted] approved a a settlement on an account that was settled by obtaining a 1099C,the fees for the account have been reversed and the remaining funds from her dedicated account with Cross Roads Financial have been returned to her.
Ms. [redacted] stated that her contract was signed before she agreed to join the program and by someone other than her. The signature on her contract was done via docusign and we confirmed this was completed by the client. Per Ms. [redacted] request her program has been canceled and her dedicated account...

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/04/30) */
Mr. [redacted] decided to terminate from our program after only being enrolled for about 9 months of a 36 month program. During his time in our program we were able to negotiate 2 settlements. Mr. [redacted] was concerned that he was not clearly...
informed about when and how we collect our fees and that when he terminated from the program we drafted the scheduled fees that were due to us. We explained that we only charge fees once we settle an account and that even if a client decides to terminate, we will collect any remaining fees at the time of termination. Mr. [redacted] did not feel this was fair and requested a refund of his fees. As a courtesy we have offered Mr. [redacted] a partial refund and he has accepted this as resolution to his complaint.
