Experian Credit Tracer offers a $1(dollar) 7-day trial membership to our credit monitoring product.  The terms and conditions for this offer are posted prominently in several places on the website including on our order forms.As a "courtesy" they are refunding me? How is this a courtesy? I did not sign up for a trial membership, I signed up for [redacted]. They are NOT focused on customer service because this issue would have been resolved the FIRST time I contacted them regarding this issue. They have been toying with me for months, telling me they were going to give me my money and then passing me around various representative's e-mails (or maybe even just a dummy e-mail, as I received the same message verbatim from each individual that completely ignored my e-mail).I asked for all of my money back, not a supposed "courtesy".

The membership was not cancelled; consequently, in accordance with the published terms of our offer, the credit card provided was charged our monthly membership fee on February 11, 2016, and for each following month.  Our records further indicate that you were billed two charges of $27.18 ($24.99 plus $2.19 tax) on October 13, 2016.  These charges were for the monthly membership fees for September and October.  Per your request, your paid benefits will cease, effective November 2, 2016. You will continue to have access to your Experian(R) credit report and FICO(R) Score once every 30 days, at no charge to you.   A one month courtesy refund was issued on October 17, 2016 in the amount of $27.18 ($24.99 plus $2.19 tax).At this time we would like to express our regret that your experience with Experian Credit TrackerSM may not have met your expectation or our standard of excellence.  We feel it is important to keep the consumer informed regarding the ordering process.  Our website describes the offer and the order form details the terms and conditions of the offer, including billing at the end of the trial and monthly thereafter unless and until the customer notifies us of their wish to cancel.  The customer agrees to these terms when submitting their order.Customer satisfaction is our priority, as a courtesy we have issued an additional refund of $24.99 plus $2.19 sales tax for a total of $27.18 on October 20, 2016.  Please allow 3 - 5 business days for these funds to process to your credit card account.  We strive for exceptional customer satisfaction and hope we have addressed your area of concern to your expectation.

Our records indicate that on August 25, 2009 you enrolled into a 1 year [redacted] credit monitoring membership paid for by another organization due to a data breach. On August 10, 2010 this membership was voluntarily renewed to a paid membership in response to an offer for renewal at a discounted price.
During the renewal process, our website describes the offer and the order form details the terms and conditions of the offer, including billing upon expiration of the complimentary membership and annually thereafter unless and until the customer notifies us of their wish to cancel. The consumer agrees to these terms when submitting their order. The credit card information is also provided by the consumer at this time. In accordance with the published terms of our offer, the Visa card provided was charged our monthly membership fee on August 26, 2015 and on or about the same date each subsequent year.
Our records also show that you contacted CIC on November 16, 2015, and stated that you are the holder of the Visa card, and did not open the account in question. In response, CIC cancelled the membership and issued a refund of $38.73 to your Visa card.

FICO(R) Scores are developed by Fair Isaac Corporation. There are many credit score models used in the marketplace, and lenders may use whichever model(s) they prefer. FICO(R) Scores are used by the majority of lenders. The advantage of FICO(R) Scores is that they can be the same scores used to make many credit granting decisions, no matter which scoring model their lender uses.
Your FICO(R) Score is calculated based on the data in your credit report at the time you request your credit report and score. Every time you request a new score, a new credit report is pulled and your new score is calculated based on the information in your credit report, up to once a day. Be aware, your credit report may change often. Differences in your score may be due to a change in balance on one or more of your credit cards, payment updates, or the addition of new accounts. Even the fact that your account(s) is one month older can affect your score. If there are inaccuracies on your credit report, these could also be affecting your score and should be disputed directly with the credit-reporting agency providing that information. In general, there are many factors that can affect an individual’s credit score, such as payment history, current debt, available credit to debt ratio, etc. The actual scoring model and its calculations are proprietary to Fair Isaac Corporation.
