On June 16th 2017 I purchased rental insurance from Enterprise Rent a Car in there Hingham Mass location. Upon approval of this insurance it is there policy to do a walk around to look for damage on the vehicle. A walk arount was done by *** to which he noted no damage. On June 21st I swapped the rented vehicle, a *** for a *** due to major passenger side front window damage. Enterprise has denied my claim citing that this damage was done prior to the insurance being purchased.
Obviously, if this was the case then they would have noticed the damage and not given me the insurance in the first place on June 16th 2017. Since then they have forwarded this bill to a collection agency in an attempt to collect an invalid debt.
Area Manager *** has spoken with the customer and is now reaching out to our Risk Management department to shut down the claim. He will call the customer back once this has been done.
Thank you

On 05/09/17 at approximately 1100 hrs. I rented a *** from Enterprise at ***'s Autobody. I had the vehicle for approximately 6 hours when I noted live bed bugs in the vehicle. I spoke with the manager of Enterprise, ***, as well as several other employees to include *** on several occasions. The vehicle was subsequently towed from my residence on the same date. I have never received a call back from anyone at Enterprise. I had to have a pest control treatment for $1900 and was told to bag the bugs prior to having the vehicle towed, which I did. The technician confirmed that the bugs were in fact bed bugs. I have tried to contact *** to get some resolution several times never with a call back. Last I spoke with *** he was going to contact his boss and get back to me, this was on 05/11/17. On 05/22/17, I sent *** an email again describing my entire situation. I never heard anything back.
Area Manager *** has called and left a message with the customer to resolve this issue.
thanks
After dropping off vehicle and told everything was fine, Enterprise six weeks later sends me a $2,400 bill for alleged damages even though they stated on phone and email that all that remained was a balance for some fees and tolls - never mentioned anything about $2,400 damage and never allowed me to review this alleged damage. The manager, Greg C filed a fraudulent report with Enterprise Holdings and will be served a lawsuit for damage to my credit and to cover the damages that obviously were caused by him or one of the employees. Again, the fact remains, that when I contacted Mr. C about the rental status - after he filed his report - he lied and said the only outstanding issue was with the rental balance for misc. fees. Therefore, by not immediately alerting me to the alleged damages, he therefore denied me the right to close the contract properly and review the alleged damages - The only explanation is that he or someone else caused the damages after the vehicle was dropped off and are covering their tracks by putting it on the customer who has rented from Enterprise for 23 years and never had one damage claim. STAY AWAY from this place - they will scam and scheme you too. *** it and see how often Enterprise and other car rentals engage in this practice of fraud and shady business practices.
