East Hill Chevrolet of Douglaston, stated they would sent me a check for the owed amount of $100.00 via overnight mail on 12/**/15. This means I would have received by the [redacted], today is the [redacted] and I have not received any refund yet. Im shocked that such a big name like Chevy can conduct business in such a negative manner. No regard or respect for the consumer.

THEY HAVE MAILED THE 500 DOLLAR CHECK. AS OF YESTERDAY, I HAVE RECEIVE IT. ONLY ISSUE LEFT AT THE...

MOMENT, IS FOR THEM TO UNDERSTAND THEY HAVE A FULL RESPONSIBILITY OF IT. NOT ABLE TO DELIVER THE PRODUCT ON TIME AND ASKING FOR ANOTHER MONTH TO DELIVER IT.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The response from the business is not acceptable to me, I don't believe any vehicle would worth 25% less in a matter of 8 weeks with no change other than an additional 40 miles on it.  What the dealership has done is extremely deceitful and disrespectful of the customer's time.  I do not wish to receive any other response from the business as they will only be excuses and an insult to the customer's intelligence.  But I do wish to keep this complaint open as I'm yet to see the deposit being refunded to me.  Mr. W[redacted] has mentioned that it was refunded as of 12pm on Monday, but I have not seen the refund activity on my account yet.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]The response from east hills Chevrolet regarding the terms of the sale not requiring the purchase of a warranty is a LIE!I agreed to pay the asking price plus the unadvertised "dealer fee". When I declined the warranty, I was told "sorry we can't make a deal". The store I visited was an annex of the Douglaston store and I called them that night. G. Gordon told me he would look in to this and I did receive a call back from Roslyn. I was told perhaps a shorter term warranty would suit me and they would look into it. The next day I was told no such warranty was available. Furthermore I was told that I am what is wrong with society these days......I didn't get the deal I wanted and was making a big deal about it. The car had less miles than the average vehicle of that make and model year and it looked like it was in good shape and well worth the asking price. Almost too good of a deal. I was told that almost 90% of customers purchase a warranty. I suppose the warranty is a money maker for them and without it they would be losing too much profit. I will be telling my friends about this place. They should have advertised at the price they wanted for the car.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

1. I was never told the vehicle has 600 mileage during any period of sale.2. While I went back to the dealer to resolve the issue, NJ was never mentioned. In fact, I was told the vehicle was picked up from maine which was 360 miles away from the dealer, and the dealer in maine originally picked up the car from Connecticut which was 180 miles away from maine.   I asked to see more legitimate form of documents that show the detail of transportation, they were unable to do so.3. I did ask to exchange the vehicle at the beginning. I requested to exchange the vehicle exactly as I demanded on the purchase agreement form.  I was told the only way to exchange the vehicle is, to choose one from their inventory. Apparently it was not a rational offer, because they don't have the one that I demanded in stock. The closest one they had was about $18000 higher than I originally ordered. Then I asked them to order one from factory, but it was clearly turned down.4. The situation has changed since I went back to the dealer and met the staffs in person tried to resolve the problem.  I haven't received enough convincible statement from them. Also I found out some very important information were missing on the certificate of sale. Now I am requesting the dealer to rescind the contract, refund whatever amount was paid.Connecticut - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased a vehicle from the [redacted]ocation on November [redacted] of 2014. As a resident of Pennsylvania, they were unable to give me my License plate the day of the purchase so I was given temporary tags told that the plates would be overnight-ed to me when they received them.

It is now January [redacted] and I have not yet received my license plate. After contacting the dealership, I was told that they had the plates in their possession, but due to a paperwork mistake, I needed to pay an additional fee over and above the original agreed price. I was not notified of this until I contacted the dealership; when I asked to speak with a [redacted] and was told he was busy but I would be contacted when he was available. I never received a call from the [redacted], and several follow up attempts have resulted in no resolution, and I have yet to speak with a [redacted]. The temporary tags have now expired and I now have a vehicle I can not drive.Desired Settlement: I need my plates delivered as soon as possible, and I do not want to pay any additional fees.

Business

Response:

Dear [redacted],Thank you for giving East Hills Chevrolet the opportunity to address [redacted]'s complaint. I have spoken to our used vehicle [redacted] and our general [redacted]. The discrepancy arose from our estimation of [redacted]'s in-transit plates at the time he purchased his vehicle from us. As [redacted] lives outside of New York, we use a service that arranges for all of our out of state plates, also known as in-transit plates. We estimated the cost to obtain these plates as we cannot know the charges from all states and locales. The cost to secure [redacted]'s plates was $37.00 higher than what we estimated. Therefore it cost East Hills Chevrolet $37.00 more to acquire these plates on [redacted]'s behalf. We are simply asking [redacted] to reimburse our cost for these plates. We do not mark up these costs. It has been relayed to me that [redacted] refuses to reimburse East Hills Chevrolet. We look forward to sending [redacted] his plates as soon as we collect the abovementioned $37.00.Sincerely,[redacted]

Review: I made a deal on a lease of a 6cyl Chevy Equinox with the dealership. They sent me the VIN and I insured the car. When I got there they had switched the vehicle, even going so far as to call my insurance company without my knowledge and change the VIN with that insurance company. When I told them the car was incorrect they offered to sell me the original car at the same price, but it wouldn't be ready until the next day. I came in the next day and they came up with another reason that they couldn't sell me the car. They said that we didn't have the proper ID's for the car that we were turning in. The night before that had not been an issue.Desired Settlement: I would like them to keep up their end of the bargain. I would also recommend that they be investigated for fraudulent sales practices.

Business

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Thank you for the opportunity to address complaint ID#[redacted].

To recap, [redacted] purchased a Chevrolet Equinox from East Hills Chevrolet and was trading in a vehicle he did not own. [redacted] did not take delivery of this new vehicle.

Our office made a mistake and provided an incorrect VIN # to [redacted] that related to a Chevrolet Equinox with a four cylinder engine. [redacted] provided this information to his insurance company to get his insurance cards. We realized this mistake and contacted [redacted]' insurance company. We apologize for not contacting [redacted] ahead of time, but we wanted to handle the insurance information so it would not be any inconvenience to [redacted].

[redacted] was trading in a vehicle that he did not own. New York State Department of Motor Vehicles stipulates that we can only accept vehicles as trade ins from the actual owners or via assignment of the right to trade in vehicles from the actual owners. [redacted] refused to provide proof of ownership. [redacted] refused to provide a title to this vehicle evidencing he was the owner. [redacted] refused to bring the actual owners of this vehicle to East Hills Chevrolet to authorize this transaction. We canceled this sale due to [redacted] unwillingness to meet the DMV standards for fraud prevention.

We would be happy to sell this vehicle to [redacted] without the trade-in considered or with the trade-in considered as long as the DMV stipulations are met.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Sincerely,

[redacted] General Manager

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

I have purchased a vehicle from another Chevy dealer. So in that respect I no longer need a resolution from East Hills.

I do not agree with East Hill's statements about my refusal to provide any sort of proof about the vehicle I was trading in. I came by the dealership twice to pick up my new car. Both times I had what the dealership had told me that they needed as proof that I was able to make the trade. Both times they came up with something else that I needed. The only refusal I made was not to come in more times so they could demand other documents. They did not terminate the deal, I did because of the run around they were giving me. I did speak to the owner who was trying to come up with a resolution and seemed to want to win my businees back, but with the response from the business as stated, I am sure that I will never go back.

The other dealership that I purchased the car from had no issues with the trade in. They told me exactly what I needed the first time and that is what I brought. I was out of the dealership in 3 hours with a car on the first trip. I will deal with this new car dealership (Major Chevy) from now on as they are better trained and know how to make a sale.

Sincerely,

Review: I bought this car 2 years ago from this location and they put my cell phone on an EXTREMELY annoying robo-dial follow up campaign. I have called them multiple times to remove my number from whatever list they had and I also filed a complaint about a year ago. I just received another call from them today. There is no option to be removed from the list and I have tried calling them multiple times in the past to have them remove my number but they apparently don't have a process in place for that.Desired Settlement: I never want to receive a phone call from them again on my cell phone. I also want them to prove they have a good process of requesting permission to do these up front and that they have a process for removing people from their lists. They should also have a "press 9 to be removed from this list" option so someone doesn't need to call them directly to do this.

Review: EAST HILL SUBARU, [redacted]

WE HAVE SIGNED A BONIFIED CONTRACT IN MARCH *, 2015. TO PURCHASE A CAR IN CASH. THE SALES AGENT, [redacted] HAS MENTIONED, IT WOULD BE READY BY MID APRIL. SO WE MADE A SMALL DEPOSIT AND WAITED FOR THE CAR TO SHOW UP. SO WE FOLLOW UP ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO, AND THE MANAGER NAME [redacted] MENTION THE CAR WONT COME UNTIL MID MAY. I HAVE WAITED WITH OUT A CAR OVER A MONTH AND NOW THEY SAY CAR WONT BE READY. SO, I DECIDED TO NO GO FORWARD, ASKED FOR THE MONEY BACK. AND THEY ARE STALLING TIME. ITS BEEN OVER A WEEK. STILL NO SIGN OF GETTING THE CHECK BACK. THEY KEEP MENTION, THE BOSS IS OUT OF TOWN, HAS NO ONE TO SIGN THE CHECK. THIS IS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED FROM A DEALER.Desired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE TO GET MY DOWN PAYMENT CHECK BACK, I WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO THE OWNER. I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE SURE, THEY DONT DO THIS WITH ANYONE ELSE. I TRIED MY BEST NOT TO COMPLAIN TO Revdex.com, BUT THEIR UNRESPONSIVENESS TO MY CALL AND EMAIL, LEFT ME WITH NO CHOICE.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Review: I looked at a vehicle on Saturday, August [redacted] and was approved for financing. I placed a $500 deposit in good faith and did not sign a purchase agreement. I was told that I would get a full refund if I did not go through with the purchase. I explained that I would need to discuss with my wife before making final decision. Upon discussing and further research, I decided that I would not be going through with the purchase. I called the next day, Sunday, August [redacted] and explained that I am not going forward with purchased and asked for the refund of my deposit. I was told that the finance representative that I had dealth with was not in and to call back first thing Monday to speak with her and it would take "five minutes" to have refund done. I called Monday on four separate occasions and left messages for the representative and the manager. I never received a call back or a refund of my money.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my $500 deposit.

ANY OTHER QUESTION PLEASE CALL ME [redacted]

Review: My husband took my truck to another Chevrolet dealer even though I purchased it from East Hills. The other dealership couldn't find a warranty on the part that was malfunctioning . The car was purchased certified pre owned so the additional insurance was third party. I then asked my husband to take it to East Hills. They ran a diagnostic test and found the particular system to be bad and needed to be replaced. Rather then call and verify coverage they told my husband they would be in touch. The problem is the side mirrors stay lite up with 2 orange cars saying it's not safe to change lanes. Very distracting to the driver. I called the service advisor to ask why the phone call couldn't be made right then and there like at most dealerships. After getting no where speaking to him I asked to speak to the service manager. He told me the service manager wasn't in and came and went throughout the day. I hung up and called back and left a message with the receptionist. I then called to speak to the general manager but winded up dealing with the customer relations manager. He told me he would check into it and call me back. True to his word Dan did call back to tell me they were working on it and would be in touch tomorrow (Tuesday). Tuesday morning came and went with no phone call. So I called Dan and left a message after I was told it was his day off. Around 2:30-3 my husband cell phone rang with the east hills Chevrolet number on the caller id but we were at a dr visit with our sick son. Once we left the appt my husband checked his phone but no message was left. So he called and asked to speak to the service advisor that he had dealt with on Monday but was informed he had just stepped out. My husband left a message asking him to call him back. Around 5:30-6 I decided to write a review about my ordeal with these ridiculous waiting period for the dealership to call the warranty company and how the staff was incompetent. Not more then 15-20 mins later the service manager calls me demanding I remove the post. I informed him as a consumer it was my right to state my opinion on a public site... I used no profanity and made no derogatory remarks. He then tells me the part is covered what did I want to do with it. I told him I wanted it installed so I could sell the vehicle because I have no time for all this foolishness when servicing a vehicle. I ask him what appt times did he have available. He tells me he will be back in touch in a few days with available appts. I told him so basically you called to waste my time and demand I take down a review on social media. If he was serious about rectify the issue he would have had available appt times. I told him the longer I had to wait the more reviews I would be making and also I was going to file a complaint with the Revdex.com/ Chevy corporate/news/ and if necessary contact an attorney. Today is Wednesday I have heard from no one at East Hills to rectify this matter. But on my [redacted] review of the dealership the unprofessional chief of marketing told me to take my business elsewhere.Desired Settlement: I need my vehicle and all its systems to function properly so I can get my family to their destinations safely.

Your employees are negligent and unhelpful. I never threatened physical harm to any of your employees.
