1-20-19 called 800-274-2538, spoke with Adrian at Cricket, gave him the IMEI # of an unlocked ATT wifi hotspot defice and he assured me it would work on the Cricket system, I just needed a Cricket sim card. The next day I purchased a 10.00 sim card, and called again. Spoke with Riz, who again checked the IMEI # and assured me the device would work and set up the wife for a 35.00/10GB per month plan. Initially it seemed to be working and the charge was placed to my credit card. After I hung up, I realized my computer was not computer was not communicating with the wifi hotspot...my browser kept telling me I was not connected to the internet, and I tried more than one browser. I called Cricket again on 11-22-19, spoke with *** who tried very hard to resolve the problem; we eventually got disconnected. I called back and talked to Fanny; she also tried to resolve the problem and eventually told me my device was not compatible with their system. When I asked to be reimbursed for my 35.00, she told me they could not do that, but she couldn't give me a reason. I spoke with a supervisor and got the same answer. All I want is my 35.00 back. I sent a letter to Chicket XX-XX-XX and have hand no response.

This correspondence is in response to a complaint filed by ***. In this complaint, Ms. states that she was unable to use her device with Cricket service. Ms. is requesting a refund for her unused service.

We advised Ms. of Cricket's terms and conditions which state: "We do not guarantee the availability of the wireless network or any Wireless Services. You will not have access to our network outside of our coverage areas. Coverage maps, available on our website or in store, show a high-level approximation of wireless coverage and there are gaps in coverage not shown by this approximation; actual coverage may vary and be affected by terrain, weather, foliage, buildings, signal strength, high-usage periods, customer equipment and other factors." Our full terms and conditions can be found online at www.cricketwireless.com/terms . Customers accept our Terms and Conditions at the time of activation and each month that they pay for service.

We contacted Ms. via email on February 3, 2020 and discussed our findings.
We were able to make an exception and issue a refund back to her original form of payment. She can expect her refund back within 3-5 business days.

The response given regarding "availability of the network and coverage area" has absolutely nothing to do with my complaint. And was never discussed in my complaint. But they did issue a refund, and it has been deposited in my account. So I am pleased with the outcome. Thank you for your help.

Cricket Wireless has been drafting my bank account earlier than stated on the online agreement. I had not noticed until today. My bill is due on the 11th of every month. Their direct draft policy states one day early which would be the 10th. They are drafting money out of my bank account on the 9th. Is this legal? I spoke with customer service and was quoted I had agreed with the online statement for direct drafting from bank account. I told her I did not agree for any day other than the 10th which is one day early as stated in the contract.

They advertise as a non contract company, but they currently will not unlock a phone that I had purchased and brought with me.
I recently switched from cricket to tmobile because of coverage issues and Cricket was dropping my calls. About 2 months ago my step son got a new iphone xr that my wife and I bought off of ebay. We did this so we didnt have to do monthly payments, I repeat I own this phone. We put a SIM card in it and used it for 2 months. This week when I changed to tmobile I could not get the phone to work. Tmobile instructed me to call Cricket to get it unlocked. After being on the phone with Cricket for about an hour the support said there is nothing they can do about it and the phone has to be active for 6 months before they can unlock it. I signed with them because they suppose to be a no contract phone company but in my eyes this is a contract, holding my phone hostage until they deem it okay to release it. So I have a $500 phone that can not be used and Ive been told there is nothing they can do about it.

Desired Outcome

I either want my phone unlocked so I can use it with the new carrier or send me an unlocked iphone xr and I will send them the locked one. They should probably notify new customers of the 6 month rule and not advertise as a non contract phone company.

Cricket Wireless does not issue refunds per our Cricket Terms & Conditions. According to Cricket Wireless Terms and Conditions of service, available online at www.cricketwireless.com/terms: Amounts paid for service charges are non-refundable and account balances are not transferable, refundable, or redeemable for cash. If your account is suspended or cancelled, for any reason, any remaining balance in your account will be forfeited.
Non-withstanding Cricket's Terms and Conditions, we did issue a refund check in the amount of $77.44, in the form of a check as an exception. We do ask that Mr. allow between 7-10 business days to receive his check.

Was going to add a line to my account. They guy did not still use how much it was goin to be at first. He started the plan and got the phone off of the shelf and scanned it. Then said $160.00. And we told him to forget it. He called his manager in Logansport. He told him that he could not back out of it. The thing is the phone was still in the box and he had not even done much with it. When he got his manager on the phone he called me everything but a white woman. This is not the first time I have had to deal with this man. Very unpleasant person. To b honest I dont know how he has kept the job. Hateful and very rude to people. So he told the guy tha t we were dealing with to call the cops. So he did and the cop showed up and asked what was goin on. And the cop told my friends and I to get the *** out of the store. They guy that was working he said that he needed the cop name and badge number. Which I knew the cop. He told the guy Jerry Honeycuttand gave his badge number and walked out. They I went to a different carried. I have worked in the public and I know for a fact that u dont curse out a customer. I sure hope that actions takes and they both lose their jobs cuz neither one should of talked to the customer like they did. I know that after I left the store another lady was in there and she had issues with them and she is goin to tranfer her carrier to someone else too. I have a refund of 14.00. Plus I still owed on the phone and I want it dropped cuz I refuse to go back in the store.

This correspondence is in response to a complaint filed by ***. In this complaint, Ms. states that she received poor customer service at a Cricket Authorized Retail location. She also expresses concerns about a payment agreement on the phone she purchased. She is requesting that the payment plan be terminated.

Because of the concerns Ms. raised, we have contacted management for this Authorized Retailer and requested that they investigate the interaction. Cricket takes our customer's experience seriously and is committed to receiving feedback and providing excellent customer service.
Upon reviewing Ms. account, we found that it was canceled on December 3, 2019. There is no credit showing on her account and a refund was provided for her last payment made in a previous case.
We would like to advise Ms. her payment plan on her device is provided by Progressive Leasing, LLC or its affiliates. Progressive leasing is a company that Cricket uses to allow customer to have a leasing option to purchase a new device. Payments made for any type of lease are made directly to Progressive. I've contacted Cricket on many occasions with different issues. The most recent is my data service not working and one of the main locations I am in. after completing troubleshooting with "Eunice" she said she needed to submit a ticket and would credit me. She then refused and said we had to wait. I spoke to a supervisor named "Miriam" she repeatedly called me a liar, saying I have not contacted them about my data and she would not provide a credit. I've been hung up on by their customer service agents on the phone and chat. I was even told by an in person rep named (shadi) to "come down here i'll f* you", nothing was done about this.

We had two cases documented with Ms. issues and our technical support team determined that there was no network issue found in the area she provided.

I paid my Cricket Wireless bill on Monday morning and my phone still isn't working. I called their number which is the only way to reach them. I spoke to 4 different people. 2 of them because I got disconnected. One of them was a manager who hung up on me. Since they can not connect my line I asked for a refund for the month I prepaid and they refused. They said that they don't give refunds. So I have no service which I prepaid for. I have spent almost 2 hours on the phone with them calling them back. Also, their automated phone service which I had to go through to get a person kept rejecting my pin even though it's the right one. I know it's the right one because when I got through to the 1st operator they were able to use it. Now my account is locked because I entered it so many times through the automated system. Cricket wants to send me a text with a new pin but I can't get or make texts or calls. They only communicate through texts and that one phone number. That is why I keep calling them on my house phone.

I am so pleased with my cricket service. I have been a customer for over a year now and have never had any problems. I ordered my daughter a phone on Monday morning and received it Tuesday afternoon. I couldn't believe I got it that fast and then this morning, my service was interrupted so I called them. I spoke to a gentleman named Will who was extremely nice and professional. I had put in the wrong thing when adding a new line and he fixed it all for me immediately. My service was restored before I even got off the phone. I would definitely recommend Cricket Wireless to anyone.

I had 4 out 5 of my phone lines ported without my permission. I called the day it happened and spoke with a supervisor who told me he was escalating the situation at the highest priority. I was told my lines should be back on within 3 days. And that I wouldn't have to pay anything and that I would be compensated for the issue. Here it is two weeks later, and after speaking with yet another supervisor I'm now being told it could take up to 6 weeks to get a resolution if any and that I'll probably have to pay a fee to have my phones turned back on. On top of that he advised me to continue to pay my regular bill even though I can't use my phones.

We want to assure Ms. that her account security is a top priority for Cricket Wireless. After researching her account, we believe she may be the victim of identity theft originating outside of her Cricket Wireless account. The individual who accessed her Cricket Wireless account had enough information to authenticate her account and make changes.

This individual may then have used Ms. phone number to gain access to other accounts where Ms. uses her phone number for verification. If she hasn't already done, we advise Ms. Addis to file a police report regarding the suspected identity theft.

Ms. last line is now in process of getting recovered. She can reference ticket number ( XXXXXXXXXXXXX) for further status. Ms. can also contact ***@cricketwireless.com for further concerns.

Employee removed my insurance to force me to buy new phone at full retail price
On 09/26/2019 I needed to make an insurance claim on my iphone 6s and was told I had no insurance even though I had been paying for it and had to pay full retail for a replacement phone. Went back to same store 01/02/20 and was informed by the manager that my insurance had been cancelled in store on 09/26/2019 when I went to make the claim by the employee. Tried customer service and was told I have no recourse to this consumer fraud

Customer service as well as the so called bridge pay feature is an absolute bad representation of valuing my business. Charges a 3.00 fee to speak with a customer service representative? I ligetamitly can not and will not be able to communicate with customer service to resolve service issues without being charged for someone to there job'! I am a single unemployed mother of 3 kids who are currently not living in my home and my life is in a pretty grim and I shouldn't have to even deal with this ***. Not only is my everyday hard enough on my low (no) income, single parent, unemployed self but for this company to take advantage of my low income situation to profit on my struggle is absurd! I had no choice but to do the bridge pay due to my son calling me every night as well as my diligently job seeking as well as doctors appointments for my mental health as well as frequent communication with family services regarding my kids and just not having a phone for them to communicate with me as they need to is not an option. I paid the 50.00 which is half of the due bill knowing that I have 7 days to figure out the other $40.00 and then approx. 30 days to pay the next due bill on the 28th of January. I understand a small fee for utilizing the bridge pay service in my time of much importance for me to not have interrupted service. NOT 6 days later thinking 40.00 will keep the service active until the end of January. It *** have taken me a day or so to figure out how to take care of it. Instead I try to call customer service and get told that I have to pay the full 90.00 to reinstate my active phone line and the other 90.00 at the end of the month for a total of $230.00 to keep my desperately needed phone service. Then to speak to a live customer rep they charge a fee of 3.00... If I had the $90.00 when the bill was due no problem but because I am struggling and utilized their service they profit immensely from my current situation. I understand it is a business but for this company to capitalize.

When your account is cancelled, we will re-assign the phone number associated with your account, and that phone number, identification number, or email address associated with your account may no longer be available to you. a CSR named Tommy1 Tendered at Elite wireless group Inc, daytona was so unproffessional that it was not his reponsibility to inform me of other options to pay since the had changed my account to 67 plan. I ask that he please concentrate on me so tht I could understand im by then he was rude an I ask the other csr for assisitance afterr she noticed that we were at an inpass. she took csre of me but still did not inform me about other options stating you just have to call 611. when I asked about an online app they bot said there was none. yet there is and there is a bridge payment program that as he stated tommy with a capital t, was not his job to tell me about that option.
I asked or the name and number of the managr or regional mangr an I was told the Jose the mgr said he can not be reached till next week.

I leased my iPhone 8 Plus 64GB Gold - Through Cricket's (3rd party) progressives company. I paid off my phone. In payments, totaling the amount of: $1,401.82
There was 3 NSF charges added. to include 3 Bounce Return payments. (Due to issues with my bank account - Which in Involved other bounced payment issues throughout my direct withdrawal payments I had setup). So I over paid my lease agreement though I was However unaware what my lease agreement amount totaled in taxes & fees. totaling a lease agreement amount of: $1,380.81

We would like to advise Ms. her payment plan on her device is provided by Progressive Leasing, LLC or its affiliates. Progressive leasing is a company that Cricket uses to allow customer to have a leasing option to purchase a new device. Payments made for any type of lease are made directly to Progressive. Cricket Wireless has no access or authority to change the terms of the Progressive Lease plan. Ms. can contact Progressive at X-XXX-XXX-XXXX for any additional concerns or questions.

First I have a few screen shots photos from my phone, PC, and my bank statement to show further proof of my case. That I had successfully made and processed my bill payment on Dec 20th using my Banner Bank MasterCard. I didn't find out till over a week later that Cricket had either denied my payment or didn't process it correctly. No body from Cricket ever called or emailed me. I found this out suddenly with no warning. Cricket repeated said that my bank "reversed" the transaction. Which after repeated attempts to call Cricket's customer service, along with Mastercard Representatives, even on a 3 way conference call, Cricket refused to believe me or my bank that I honestly made the payment. At one point when I was speaking to a supervisor and I had explained to him repeatedly I paid my bill on time, I threatened to contact the Revdex.com, he simply laughed at me and only repeated what he saw on his end as a reversed payment. Over two months ago, towards the end of October and beginning of November, I had a double payment of $97 go through to Cricket. This was partially an error on my part but mostly through Crickets mobile app because I made a change to my card on file to be used for my upcoming bill payment. I was accidentally charged twice on my other Visa credit card. So I disputed those charges and I was refunded by Visa the $97. Cricket never refunded me. They have a strange policy for these kinds of things making the banks do the disputes when they should easily be able to refund me for such mistakes without having to wait many business days. The same thing happened once before with accidental double charges for $97 earlier in 2019 which I disputed and eventually got my money back. On both Crickets and my MasterCards telephone customer service calls are likely recorded. To prove I did everything to solve this problem. My Cricket mobile phones are suspended for two different lines for my wife and I. I can't use my phone right. It freezes a lot and doesn't work now. Cricket Account#: X XXXXXXXX

I had to switch cell phone providers from Cricket to *** due to where my family moved to. I contacted Cricket to obtain my account and pin numbers to port my phone number over to ***. A phone number that I have had for about 13 years. After a total of about 8 hours and 3 days of going back and forth between Cricket and *** store locations. The end result was either I have to pay Cricket $88.76 to reactivate the line to be able to port my number, or be forced to change my number with ***.

Other (Requires Explaination) For the life of me I can't understand how a company located in Atlanta doesn't have an escalated issue center or a contact number. All the cricket supervisors I talked to were not located in the USA, and they kept hanging up the call and were extremely unprofessional. I refused to pay the money to keep my phone number, how can Cricket hold my number hostage? I feel that is unethical.

We spoke with Mr. in reference to his complaint. During the call Mr. advised us that he received a new number and was unsure if he wanted to retrieve his Cricket number. We agreed to reactivate Mr. account at no cost for two days on January 28, 2020 allowing Mr. time to port his number out to ***. As of January 31, 2020, Mr. has not ported out his phone number.

A fraudster had my number transferred to another carrier and after multiple calls to Cricket, they have yet to restore my service or otherwise help.
On December 23, 2019, I received a text message notification that changes were made to my Cricket account. These changes were initiated without my knowledge or consent by someone with my stolen information attempting an elaborate identity theft scheme. My phone service was immediately terminated, leaving me helpless without a working phone while the fraudster initiated bank transfers on other accounts.

As soon as I was able, I contacted Cricket to inform them of the situation and notify them that I did not authorize transferring my number to another carrier. Customer service said they would open an investigation and I was told that I could expect an update in a few days. After receiving no response after a few days I called again to check on the investigation and I was told by another representative that the first person I spoke with did not initiate an investigation. The second representative then opened the investigation and said again that I could expect a response in a few days.

It has now been two weeks that I've been without working phone service. This includes being without a way to contact people over the Christmas holiday. Despite repeated calls and explaining my situation to Cricket multiple times, this still has not been resolved and I've received no information. Further, Cricket has made no effort to provide me with temporary service or even give me a refund for the service time stolen from me.

I have been a Cricket Wireless customer for many years. As if the experience of having my identity stolen and being without a phone over the holidays was not bad enough, I was clearly lied to by at least one Cricket representative during this ordeal. Cricket Wireless has failed to even present the appearance that they are doing something to help me in this situation, despite my numerous pleas for help.

Desired Outcome

I want my phone number back, as I had it for many years before bringing it to Cricket and I would like a refund for my last month of service which was terminated prematurely without my authorization. I'd also like an explanation why literally nothing has been done and no information provided to me by Cricket over this two-week period which I've been left without phone service.

This correspondence is in response to a complaint filed by ***. In this complaint, Mr. states that his phone number was fraudulently ported out to another carrier without his permission, and that he has been unable to resolve the issue.

We want to assure Mr. that his account's security is a top priority for Cricket Wireless. After researching his account, we believe he may be the victim of identity theft originating outside of his Cricket Wireless account. The individual who accessed his Cricket Wireless account had enough information to authenticate his account and make changes. This individual may then have used Mr. phone number in an attempt to gain access to other accounts where Mr. uses his phone number for verification. If he hasn't already done so, we advise Mr. to file a police report regarding the suspected identity theft.

Our records indicate that we were able to retrieve Mr. wireless number, restore his original service plan, apply eligible credits to his account, and help him update his account security information.

The business has only partially resolved my complaint by retrieving my number and providing me with information. Crediting my account is not an acceptable alternative to refunding me for the disrupted final month of service. I have no desire to continue as a customer with a provider that was content to leave me for well over a month without service, repeatedly failed to communicate or provide me with information, and was egregiously slow in attempting to address my situation. I have changed providers, and therefore, account credits with Cricket Wireless are worthless to me.

I expect to be refunded in full or partially, based on a prorata basis, for my final month of disrupted service.

Cricket does not issue refunds. According to Cricket Wireless Terms and Conditions of service, available online at www.cricketwireless.com/terms: Amounts paid for service charges are non-refundable and account balances are not transferable, refundable, or redeemable for cash. If your account is suspended or cancelled, for any reason, any remaining balance in your account will be forfeited.

We reviewed Ms. account and verified that she ported out shortly after her last payment. A refund in the amount of $55 was issued as an exception.

I switched providers on this date. Upon arriving home both phones that were purchased we had no service in our house and one of the phones could not even make an emergency call. I contacted Cricket and they tried to rectify the problem but couldn't. It lasted three days and had to switch to another provider.
