Review: Crescent bank finances my auto loan. Every month I am billed $393 dollars from them. Crescent bank's staff have poor communication skills, Most are very rude, ill mannered, and impatient. I have been told different things about the company's policies and procedures by their staff giving me the interpretation they do not all have the same understanding about the company's policies and procedures. Their merchants have attempted to take payments out of my personal primary bank account on dates earlier than the date the payment is scheduled to be payed on causing my personal primary bank account to overdraft. After speaking to representatives on several occasions about the problem, it continued amply resulting in numerous overdraft fees on my personal primary bank account which cost me $38 for each returned transaction. They would attempt twice each time. I'd also asked Crescent bank to dispose of my personal primary bank account information, and I agreed to make the payments via MoneyGram for better quality assurance so the problem would not persist...They failed to do so and continued to attempt to take the payment out of my account automatically. Crescent bank has failed to correct billing errors on my account. Crescent bank has also failed to correctly report customer copy of reciept of payment made. Tending to this hassle has been a distration to me in my workplace, resulting in much stress and frustation due to poor customer service, and carelessness.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for all nsf return fees on my personal primary bank account as well as receipts for each payment made.

Review: I had a repossession from 2011 the car was sold with a balance. I never received a balance owed from the balance of the car. 6 years later I check my credit report and I owe 15k. I call the rep says I owed 6k after the sale and there is interest accumulating on the account. This account is closed since the sale they have charged 9k in interest tye IRS or student loans dont even cHarge that much ininterest If this was a repossession/ sold vehicle how are you charging interest on a loan that didn't even originate with youDesired Settlement: I need all documents sent that were signed with the original lender and any docs that were signed with crescent bank. I also want recordings of conversations made with crescent bank that I was told my payment would be lowered. I was then told when the time came that the car had too many miles.I need sales records from the sale of my repothat I never received.

Re: Case # 11151074 [redacted]
Crescent Bank (Crescent) is in receipt of [redacted] complaint regarding an account with Crescent. Ms. [redacted] purchased a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu on 8/30/2008. The account was originally assigned to Independent Dealers Advantage (IDA). It was then assigned to Crescent Bank (Crescent) on 12/30/2008. On 7/8/2011 an impound notice was received stating the 2006 Chevrolet had been abandoned at a dealership; the vehicle was then repossessed and sold. The proceeds of the sale of the vehicle were applied to the principal balance of the account but it was not enough to pay off the entire amount due. The deficiency balance is still due. Crescent has not received any payments since the sale. Interest has been accruing at the contractual rate since July 2011. This is provided for in the contract. The contract does not end after the sale of the vehicle if the balance is not paid in full. The contract allows for interest to continue accruing until the loan is paid in full. This is a valid debt; Crescent would be happy to work with Ms. [redacted] to help her resolve this issue.
A copy of the contract, assignment and payment history will be sent to Ms. [redacted].
Sincerely,
Compliance Department

Response:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11151074, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Per the FCRA you should be reporting all information correct and up to date. This account is not open. Furthermore you have not provided copies of items signed by me to your company nor anything showing the sale of the car. Per FCRA you should be reporting this as closed the payments were NEVER late up until you lied about refinancing the car. Please report correctly, send copies of documents signed or remove from my credit ASAP.
Regards,

Review: At the start of 2014, my loan transferred to Crescent from [redacted] without any notification I found out in the middle of Feb. I called Crescent for loan and balance info and where the payment should be sent. In March I made a partial pymt and a week later I was contacted by [redacted] who stated that if I postdate the pymt for April it would stop any late charges, I agreed and she told me the amount that would be due is 420.56 which cleared my acct on 4/21. [redacted] called today and stated that I still owe the remaining bal from March informed her that it cleared she looked stated that she sees the error & corrected it. Now she tells me I owe 104 in late charges, I asked how she stated that they payment did not cover that I asked why would provide me with a total balance due that did not include late fees her response was she cant recall the talk we had in March so she cant say that she didnt tell me I informed her that she set up the payment she had no response. I asked why there is so much in late fees and she stated that Im charged daily from the partial payment until full payment is received. I asked to speak with the manager, 10 mins later Judy picks up the phone and informs me that the late charges were from [redacted] they carried over, I asked why is the this the first time Im being told about late charges, she didnt know I asked if they send out billing statements, no response she talked about the late charge process I asked her again are the charges from [redacted] she stated yes and asked again why is this the first time Im hearing about this, no explanation provided.Desired Settlement: From the conversation and the answers I was provided with I don't believe that these charges are legitimate, one person tells me the charges are Crescent and the other tells me that they are from [redacted]. The company had two chances to inform me about the fees but didnt. I would like them removed from my account.

Review: When I call and let them know when I will make a payment. They always say they don't take half payments but when I so send half payments, they take it. This past Saturday, Nov.9th, I received a call feom Crescent and I had explained to them that I had started a new job and had an illness in my family, but I was only $282, but it was from last month and it was almost a month and I had made an arrangements for Nov payment. The person that called me had said that if I didn't come up that and have the note on the 22nd by 8am then they were coming to get the truck but I told her I would have to wait til the place open. They just really have poor customer service. And another thing when I also call they ask you if the truck is running right,if its not dented, and wheres your insurance at. I just don't get that if they don't take partial payments then why are they taking the amount that I'm paying.Desired Settlement: I guess better customer service and maybe when their customers need to pay half payments let them and understand their situations. Don't just be ugly and rude when the customer said they are trying to pay but they are having a financial difficulty at that time. And maybe being able to refinance to the finance company that I want.

Review: March of 2011 I [redacted] paid my car loan off. The title to my car was sent to me From Crescent Bank three business days later. In 2012 I sold the car and transferred the title over to a different individual. I have not had the car in over 3 years. After contacting Transunion I found out Crescent Bank was still reporting a large balance on my credit report and that the account was charged off on 6/2011; However, I paid the car off 3/2011. I immediately disputed the account with Transunion and contacted Crescent Bank, whom advised me I owe them for my car and they are looking for it. I continuously let the representative know I paid my car off and sold it after I received the title from them. The representative had no idea I had the title to my car, and advised me to call back the next day to speak with a manager. I called back the following day 4/8/15 and spoke to a manager, whom advised the car is paid off and I no longer owe on the vehicle. I let her know they have ruined my credit and is still reporting negatively. She advised she will have an alternate department update the information. On 4/14/15 Transunion advised they are reporting the same information that I owe a balance of $4,067.00 with remarks that state "unpaid balance charged off" and payment received $0. Their are more inaccuracies showing as well. I got very upset and requested the highest available supervisor with Transunion who let me know she will contact Crescent Bank herself today 4/21/15.Crescent Bank have reported incorrectly to my credit report for 3 years and have caused me to be denied credit because of their inaccuracies. They have not followed the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) rules and regulations. I have advised Crescent Bank if my information is not corrected with 10 business day I will file a lawsuit against them.Thank you,Desired Settlement: I will like this loan removed from my credit report. If not, my report shall be updated with the correct information showing paid in full as of 3/2011, all negative remarks removed as I have paid this loan before the date they are showing it was charged off, and all of the inaccuracies corrected (payment received date, payment amount, date updated, date closed, charged off amount, Amount due, and all of the negative ratings after I paid the loan off. If not, please have the loan removed!

Review: Worst customer service EVER!!! Try to call and talk to a customer service representative and you will sit on hold for at least 20 minutes. The "customer service" representative that you will finally get on the phone, will not know what they are even doing, or talking about. You will get a different story from each person you eventually talk to. My husband and I paid off our loan January 21st. We had a scheduled payment for the final payoff on February 7th. I called the bank on February 6th to confirm that the scheduled payment was cancelled, since the loan was already been paid in full. I was assured there was no scheduled payment set to be taken out. they had the guff to process the payment anyway!!! Now we will have to wait to get our hard earned money back! For something we don't even owe on any longer. From a institution that has already made their money plus some!! I would not suggest to anyone to ever take any loans or any other services from this bank. Worst I have ever dealt with.Desired Settlement: I want my money back!!!! ASAP

Review: This company has rude, aggressive and non understanding people. They are threatening and they are using the internet to contact friends and neighbors and leaving messages with them about my account with them. I am 2 months behind on my loan. During the course of this loan I have already paid double the car value and still have over a year to go at 25% interest. Payments are 485/month. My situation at home has changed since purchasing the car. I lost my job for over to months, my wife is no longer working so catching up and making ends meet has become difficult. This company does not care they just want their money. I have written them before and they stated they have no letters from me and continue to harrass me at home and work.Desired Settlement: I would ask that crescent bank reconsider the remainder of the loan at a different interest rate, since I have already paid 75% of the loan and maybe extend it out to keep my payments between 350-375/month. I know I owe them but I need their hep for a more manageable payment. Thank you.

Review: I'm not someone who is out to get someone or not pay them their money or be rude & disrespectful. I fully understand a contract was signed for a loan to be paid by a certain time. And to be fully honest I do loose track of the days due to my life being so crazy. But the poor customer service from these people is insane. Several times I have gotten calls from the bank asking where their money is,& I told them I sent it out over a week ago & they should have gotten it by now, then the lady on the phone wants to play 50 questions with me & says she will look into it. I check my account later in the day & they have already cashed my check. Then next day same phone and 50 questions and I told them you guys have already cashed my check. things have been crazy due to my mom battling cancer and trying to help her out, and I got behind on my car payment for Oct. I sent a check last week & I did not know my husband had also paid some bills and it would have overdrawn the account. So I stopped pay on that and yesterday I mailed off two checks one for Oct payment & the other for November. I get a phone call today from a lady about payment, and I apologized and told her it has been mailed out, she tells me ok let me put it in the notes and puts me on hold. Then a lady saying she is a manager starts berating me saying that is not good enough I need to make a payment now that I was over 2 months behind. I ask her what she is talking about and she says November was due on the 26th and today is the 27th and there is no grace period. I tried talking to her and she continued to yell and speak over me saying that she was sending out a repo today to pick up my car because she wants the payment now. I finally get mad due to her not letting me speak and I finally yell at her and tell her I'm reporting her to the BBS she tells me she does not care that she is gonna do want she needs to do and repo my car and I do what I have to do. I'm not stupid if I pay over the phone they still have 2 payments coming their way.Desired Settlement: I want the manger to be reprimanded for using bully tactics and being rude. I understand she hears excuses all day and has a job to do but that is ridicules, to speak over someone and not allow them to speak is unacceptable. I also want the issue resolved with the payment since I have mailed payments and on my payments it says there is a 10 day grace period even though payment is expected by a certain time. So why is this manager saying saying there is no grace period.

Review: I was late in July with my payment because of health issues and had to have surgery so I call them and asked for a deferment.I was able to get the deferment in august. For the month of september I called to make arrangements and I made the arrangement to pay for august on the 20th of september.I do not know how many people handle one account but they are not documenting or communicating.I have a phone they do not call they would call my co signer or friends.I was sent a right to cure letter by ms.hunter in the collections department and I have until october 2,2013 to have 486.00.They called my phone no left a message but you can hear someone typing thats what my answering machine has recorded but they called everyone else to leave me a message. This bank is unorganized, there are too many people handling one account and they do not communicate at all and are very rude.I have alot going on with my health and have to travel one hour and thirty minutes to see a doctor for my treatments. All I ask of them is to stop calling so much I already have a right to cure letter and a due date of october 2nd.They are still calling.Obviously its not documented and they are not communicating. Also im getting to different locations of where to call because I get calls from a new orleans area and on the 20th I got a call from a virginia office.I would love to just have one represenative who is not nasty to deal with.If they keep calling the way they are doing I will have a cease and desist letter sent out. When I moved I gave the company my new address and the sent out a letter that was delivered by field pro(investigave service from atlanta)to deliver a note to call them. Why do they not call me or mail me a letter or even email. This place is ridiculous.Desired Settlement: I would like to deal with one represenative and would like the obssesive calling to stop.I really want one rep to deal with.I get really sick when I start to woryy about things and this bank will have me back in the hospital with all they are doing that just does not make since.I keep in contact with them.

Review: Inaccurate and inconsistent information on my credit report. Crescent Bank & Trust is currently reporting account number [redacted] on my credit reports with inaccurate, inconsistent and incorrect information which is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Section 623, Responsibilities of Furnishers of Information.First, they are reporting the date opened as 06/2013 but the reported since date as 12/2007. Second, they are reporting a credit limit of $20,170 when according to the Credit Reporting Resource Guide and Metro 2 format, installment loans are to be reported with a high balance, not a credit limit. Third, the terms are being reported as 1 month which is incorrect. Fourth, I disputed this account several times and Crescent Bank & Trust failed to update the account as in dispute.Desired Settlement: Because this company is in clear violation of the FCRA on numerous occasions and I have disputed this information before to be corrected, I would like for this account to be removed from my credit report and that I be provided with a letter stating that it will be deleted.

Review: I was behind on my vehicle note and place out for repo. I was not working at the time and didn't have the means to be current. I called to find out how much it would cost to get current with all fees applied and I called back a couple of times to make sure there was no other fees involved. I was told by multiple employees it was 990 and some change . After getting the money loaned to me I called back the same day with that payment and again asked if this would make me current. I was told yes and that I had my monthly payment due in a couple of days and asked when I'd make payment. I said on the day due or before. I called to make my monthly payment a couple of days later but before due date. Asked to make payment and they gave me amount due of normal payment and I made payment. Now a month later they call me and tell me that I am 90 dollars past due. I said everything was current. They said they don't know why I didn't pay it that I only paid part of a fee. I explained that I talked to multiple people at different times and not a one said I owed a thing. They said they could put on next months bill but still owed. When I called to get up to date before , I wanted to make payments on balance and I was told I couldn't . Why did they let me do partial payment then on a fee that I was unaware of. How am I behind on a payment that was due when I was not told I owed till a month later?Desired Settlement: Just want this 90 dollars that they say I owed , credited and account fixed and up to date

Review: This letter contains two complaints regarding Crescent Bank: 1. Crescent Bank charges $8.95 through Online Resource to pay via phone and online. For customers making multiple payments in a month or even one payment, that is an astronomical price to pay a bill. 2. When using a credit card, the online system will not honor the card. I have tried to pay my May car note several times prior to the due date to no avail. The message is "Credit card payment declined. Do not honor". I've tried 3 different credit cards, with limits that were more than sufficient. Each credit card company stated there was no problem on their end. Using the automated phone system, returns poor results as well, as the phone system will not allow adding additional credit cards to the account, although Crescent provides this an option.3. Credit card information is stored in the system. I do not believe I was asked for permission. I was very surprised to see and hear each form of payment I have used in the past listed online and via phone as a payment without my express permission. Not only are sub-prime customers price gauged from the inception of their loan but through out the payment process and at each twist and turn of the system. Thank you,K. WilliamsDesired Settlement: -Customers should have privacy notice regarding their credit payments options and choice to have their credit card information retained in an internal database. I would like my payment information removed from the system.-Customers should not be charged exorbitant fees to pay their bills. -Customers should expect a telephonic system that actually works as described by the company. From a personal standpoint, I would like any late fee or accrual of additional interest to be waived.

Review: I purchase my vehicle in August 2013, Crescent Bank & Trust financed my vehicle. On April 22, 2016 I made my final payment paying the bank in fill with a balance of zero. I called the bank and asked for a letter on their company letter head stating that my account is paid in full with a zero balance. I was informed that they could not send me that; however that letter would arrive with my title in the mail. Ok, I then asked how long would that take I was informed that it would be 45 days so I ended that phone call, I then called back days later asking for a collections monetary history summary which is something that will indicate my entire payment history since I first started making payments. I did receive that paper around April 28, 2016. There was no letter head included with that form, my balance as of April 22, 2016 shows a balance of zero. Now, once I check with all three major credit bureaus it is showing that I still have a current outstanding balance. When I start an investigation disputing the balance Crescent Bank & Trust responds to all three bureaus indicating that the current balance amount is correct and remains as $10,353.00 which is definitely incorrect. This plays a major factor with my debt ratio and my credit scores. I was informed by Crescent Bank that they report ever 30 days that is also incorrect information. My account has not been updated with the Credit Bureaus since November 2015. I have never made a late payment ever. I have also sent in more than what my monthly obligation was. There was time I made more than one payment a month.Desired Settlement: I need for Crescent Bank to immediately contact ALL the credit bureaus indicating that my account is paid in full with a zero balance. I also need the actions taken immediately to where my title is sent to me immediately, because the vehicle is paid in full I am now rightfully the owner of my vehicle. I also need for my reference on the company letter head that the Make, model and year is stated with the beginning balance that it was financed at and what the current balance to this date.
Review: I purchase a vehicle on August 9, 2013. Since I have had the vehicle in my presence I have never paid the amount that was stipulated from the beginning as in the agreement. I paid $400.00 the actual payment amount is $374.62. Then, I started paying on August 2014 $420.00, then starting paying as of January 2016,$500.00. The problem that I am having is that I requested from Crescent bank & Trust a history summary, and once I received it the statement shows four payments broken up. Half of it as $374.62 and the other half as $45.38, when I called for an explanation and who authorized this kind of transaction with my money no one not even the supervisor could give me an explanation. I have spoke with several different people that have tried to make me believe I am crazy. I have been told that once you add the two payments that are listed above it total to $420.00, but I explained I never wrote two separate checks Plus I have my bank statement that shows I only written one check, and I never authorize anyone to separate my payment. I spoke with a supervisor by the name Myra on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 that told me once she spoke with accounting that on Thursday, January 21, 2016 she will call me back with an explanation. Of course, I had to call back on Thursday around 3:23p.m.to ask why the supervisor never contacted me she explained that the computer was down and that she was waiting on the proof from accounting, and that she will be contacting me. Well it is exactly January 28, 2016, how long does it actually take to get the proof you need? I called on January 28, 2016 only to be told that the supervisor had left for the day and would contact me when she can. Also, when they report to all the bureaus they are not reporting my principal balance they are reporting my pay off balance which is not accurate because the balance goes up everyday with a finance charge fee. Therefore, one day my balance is one amount the next day it has went up so the information is not accurate that's being reported.Desired Settlement: I want my account looked over from day one when I first made a payment. I want my balance adjusted without any daily fees being added and a balance given to me once the amount has been figured out, or either my balance paid in full and reported to all the major credit bureaus. On behalf of the pain and suffering that has been caused on my end and improper customer satisfaction that was not given not once when I called on half of my account. Not one representative was on the same page.

Review: I made a payment for my car note online and it was suppose to be taken out on may 4th but they took it out on the 29th instead I called them to cancel it but they said they couldn't and to call my bank to stop payment. the bank said they would have to call them to stop the payment. Review: In July 2015 I suffered a decrease of almost $2,000 in pay and ended up spending my savings to move out of state for a career opportunity that should help me get back on track. However they kept calling my references without even attempting to call me or my wife which caused a conflict between us and our family because we were not being contacted at the time. I am a disabled veteran who has ptsd and I have had to find out that not only did this happen but my identity has been compromised and stolen as well. I have tried calling and working things out where in six weeks I could be back on track. They refuse to allow me to speak to a manager and are rude to my wife and say they can't talk to her even though she is the primary on the contract. I am not one to make excuses but like I said I ran into a rut and am starting to get on track with my situation now but my ptsd is flared up because I'm sitting here taking care of my wife and three kids and they just want more and more without us professionaly talking about how we can agree on how I can get the account caught up. The most disturbing part is that my wife talked to a lady there who she was trying to work things out but demanded I give them my whole two week paycheck even though she told them if we did we could not buy food for our kids and they were very rude and said well you have to.Desired Settlement: I just want to speak to someone who knows how to act as a professional and can speak to me and my wife about our situation and work things out with them. I want to honor my part but would like to see them honor their part of taking care of customers. I only want to deal with management as well since we keep having issues with the customer service rep as well as wanting them to contact us instead of not contacting us and keep harassing our references.
