Guest came to front desk at approximately 5:30 AM 9/**/2016 stating that the room she was staying in had bed bugs. She brought a bug down to show the front desk agent. GM was present when guest came to front desk. Guest was offered a new room which was refused. An engineer and one witness was sent...
to the room to inspect for bed bugs. No bed bugs were found in the room. If this was a problem there would be clear evidence of infestation and no evidence of bed bugs was found. Guest requested to be moved to another hotel at our expense which was refused. The solution to the problem was to move guest to a different room which guest refused outright. She then checked out of the hotel asking for a full refund. She had checked into the hotel at approximately midnight and stayed in the room for over 5 hours before bringing the issue to our attention. The GM did respond to the guest complaint contrary to guest statement in above mentioned complaint. Moreover, as part of the hotel's bug/pest mitigation program the room was inspected by pest control expert and again no evidence of bed bugs was found. The decision by the GM is that no refund shall be extended since there was a suitable solution to the problem, the guest had stayed for approximately 5 hours in the room, and that upon inspection no evidence of bed bugs was found.

Hi and good afternoon. I had the displeasure of staying at the Clarion hotel in [redacted] on Memorial Drive. I was very disappointed at what seemed to be a beautiful hotel online looking back at the pics on the website. Once I arrived at the hotel I was very shocked at the lack of upkeep the hotel seemed to be in. The walls looked very dingy. There were a ton of repairs that needed to be done. The left side of the hotel didn't match the right side of the hotel. There were several abandoned cars hovering outside the hotel. Once checked in, I was lied to stating that the card I was using at the time would only have a $50 hold only to find out they would charge the 3 nights for a full $2000. I informed the receptionist that I would be changing credit cards and she said that would be fine. So as a result, both credit cards were charged averaging $4000. I was told that the 2nd credit card was not charged at all. That was not true and instead of charging the card that Sunday when I checked out, it was charged that Monday August *, 2015. I was told there was only a $50 charge to the original card, that was also a lie.
There was also molding in the air conditioner and the walls. There was a mattress in the hallway that reeked of urine. My Neice and nephew were unable to swim in the pool because of the rising water levels. I give this hotel a rating of 1 ?. I would never recommend that anyone I know stay at this hotel.

Good evening,The reservation was booked before we advertised our New Years Eve party. This is our 5th annual new year's eve party. We were reaching out to explain the package we have and the extra activities that we will be hosting. The package she currently has would not allow her to participate in...
any of the events we are hosting. We have also discounted the second night from $149.00 to $99.00. The new year's eve package includes dinner and full breakfast. We are happy to honor her reservation which includes her overnight room and four passes to the water park. Please keep in mind she will not be able to participate in any other activities. The gentleman who called about the reservation agreed to the terms and wanted to do the New years Eve package.Currently we will be reversing the reservation to its original state which allows just the room and the waterpark.Thank youSincerely,Evan S[redacted]

Horrible stay at hotel. Contacted hotel for refund and was refusedBooked a hotel room with my debit card on 7/4.13 for clarion hotel through [redacted] Got to hotel and was put in a room that had been smoked in and had to be moved. Second room had towels in the toilet and the ceiling in the bathroom was caving. Low water pressure and film left on skin. Hot tub did not work and pool was not heated as advertised. There was very little breakfast and what there was, it was cold. Called [redacted] about a refund and they said they'd have to talk to the manager of the hotel. Hotel manager sent me an email saying he would get in touch with [redacted] and compensate me for the stay as we were not happy. Have talked to choice hotels corporate and they have not resolved the matter. Disputed the charge with my bank and nothing. Have tried calling the manager numerous times, left numerous messages and no call backs. Total for my stay was $55.19 made on 7/4/13. Was told I would not be refunded as we got the room at a low price already and the hotel was booked that night but yet they were able to move me to another room and guests were coming in that night requesting rooms without existing reservations. Bank said we continued to stay at the hotel with the existing problems so I wouldn't get my money back. I would have forfeited my money to change hotels and pay out of my pocket for another room elsewhere when I didn't have the means. Desired Settlement$55.19 total cost of hotel stay
Review: I stayed at the Clarion Hotel [redacted] in April 2014 at a reduced rate of $597.85, and on my second night, I was locked out of my room. I was told by reception that the card i'd used to book no longer had funds in it (which was impossible), and I had to provide another card in order to continue staying. Since coming home, i've checked transaction records on both cards and the Clarion has taken $875.18. I contacted [redacted] Hotels; it took them 18 days to respond (much more than their 72-hour quoted response time) and they were argumentative from the start, claiming that I was only charged $627.84. I have given them evidence that not only is this false, but they would have taken more than what was rightfully owing to them anyway. They have since blatantly refused to response to my messages asking for reimbursement and further investigation.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement of funds lost/owing

Review: I checked in early sunday 12/** at 3am, the ladies at front desk informed me that the 50.00 charge would be refunded. So I received my $110.00 for the night then the deposit because I was using a debit card. They never returned the charge back to me and I have called the manager several times and they refuse to answer my call.Desired Settlement: I would like my 50.00 refunded back.
